Residence Inn Houston Clear Lake

Nice property, friendly staff, great area with plenty of restaurants within walking distance. But oh my god are they proud of their little bottles of Gallo! $ 8.00 per bottle!

While staying here, I came home to a very strong and physically irritating chemical smell in my room. I waited for it to clear and when it wouldn’t I requested to change rooms. it was then that I learned that the staff knew this condition was possible due to bathtub work being done in a nearby room but had not done anything until I brought it up. They were prepared to let me spend the night in it if I could tolerate it.
I was provided a new room — which meant packing and unpacking — but no compensation outside of an apology nor any offer to help me move.
Additionally during my stay, on at least one occasion the hotel failed to provide all the elements of it’s weeknight social hour. Although complimentary drinks M-​W seems like a nice perk, you will often arrive to one empty pitcher and one empty wine bottle which stay that way indefinitely.
