Richard Francis, MD – Spine Associates

I will preface this review by saying that I never got into see Dr Francis, so this review is not on his services.
I’m writing this review just to voice my disappointment in how I was treated when i came into for an appointment. I came in due to severe back pain caused by a bulging disk that was discovered in an MRI from at an unaffiliated imaging center. I was directed to Dr. Francis’ office to seek help. My complaint is that I arrived on time for my appointment and after waiting for 2 hours and 30 minutes to see the doctor, I just couldn’t stand it anymore and had to leave. They kept telling me 20 – 30 more minutes, then it was «your up next!», but my turn never came.
Dr Francis only has appointments on Tuesdays and one Saturday a month, which i think is smart. I just wish that if the staff knew that he was that busy that day they could have told me and I could have come in another time. I came in just for a consult and didn’t think it would take long. My appointment was at 11:45 so I had not had lunch yet. The chairs in the waiting room were way to uncomfortable for them to be seeing people about spine issues.
This experience just left me feeling completely disrespected and insulted. I came in for help because I was in pain, which is why I waited so long.
If you go there, don’t pay your payment upfront and don’t be willing to wait longer than 30 minutes. This has happened to my wife while she was pregnant and we both regretted waiting over an hour to see a doctor. The medical profession needs to be more respectful of their patients time.
