Although their prices for a bowl of bun rieu is more expensive than other places in china town, it’s still worth it! There is just so much flavor in the soup. I usually order the bun rieu cua. I haven’t tried anything else on their menu. The restaurant is fairly small, but if you go on a weekday there’s usually only 1 or 2 tables. Service is good, they’re nice.

Came here with my mom because I was craving for some bun rieu. The restaurant is pretty small and there weren’t many people inside. The service is typical of what you would see at any regular asian restaurant. BUNRIEUDACBIET– vermicelli with fresh crab and snail soup I’ve had worse bun rieu around town so this place is not too bad, but I know what fresh crab tastes like because my mom makes it at home and she spends hours and hours just to take the crab meat out of blue crabs; so for them to say that they make it with only fresh crab is so not true. I did taste some fresh crabs, but they mixed it with other things as well. This bowl was expensive for only a few crabs and snails. The broth was not too flavorful, but it wasn’t bland. I wouldn’t order it again though. I would just wait for my mom to make it. BANHCANHGIOHEO– vietnamese hand cut rice noodles pork soup I liked the flavors in this soup. You could really taste the dried onions and the broth was light, but savory. The meat to noodle ratio was perfect and the pork was sliced thinly and were flavorful. The rice noodle were more filling than vermicelli noodles because they expand in water; so it was good that they didn’t give too much. This place is okay, but it’s expensive. I wouldn’t mind coming back, but if my mom was to make it every time I was craving for these soups than I wouldn’t come back. If you don’t have anyone to cook these things at home then I recommend coming here to try out these two soups, but if you do then just pass on the opportunity.

My family decided to try this place because our favorite place closed recently. All three of us got the bun rue with crab meat. Their bun rue is really bland to be honest. In addition to that, it was super expensive for a bowl of soup. I’ve had more flavorful soups from other places. Your best bet is to go somewhere else.

I thought this place was superb. Had the Rieu Cua and also tried the Mi Hoang, the broth for both was amazing. I love the different variations you can get. Decent prices too.

Canh bun cha oc is my favourite. We often have canh bun here and it is rhe best so far. Only thing they should improve is that the staff should have more smile.

My friends and i came to give this place another chance(and also because their BOLUCLAC) Their bun rieu is not good. The goi oc(snail salad) portion is big(because its $ 14 i guess) but I didn’t like it at all. We also tried bun dau mam tom. It was ok. I just didn’t like the dish itself. We will only come back for BOLUCLAC.

When I saw the low rating reviews on here, I was hesitate to try out this new place. It was a different restaurant before. I had Bun Rieu Dac Biet and it was very good and homemade. The cha oc, tofu, and veggies were authentic. You should ask for spicy ground chili and shrimp paste to add the kick. I would definitely come back for more Bun Rieu.

Clean place, fast service. Pricer than normal Vietnamese restaurants. Riêu cua comes out in big bowl though. Broth is ok, not addiction level as advertise.

For a place name«rieu cua» I would expect better bun rieu. The broth is watery not flavorful at all. The special bowl is a combination of different meat bun rieu for $ 10.99…is a rip off. Don’t even bother trying this place… you’ll be disappoint. Service is bad which is expected anyways in Bellaire. Will not be coming back.

I ordered bo luc lac com chien and it was delicious, my mom had bun rieu oc and she said that was just like home made. The service was efficient and friendly and the place was a small cozy clean restaurant! Def coming back.

I liked what I had today, which is Bun rieu oc. The soup is pretty salty for me without shrimp paste. But again, my taste is different than yours. I will definitely come back for other type of soups that they had to offered.

«Bun rieu Cua» aka«crap white noddle soup» was really bland. i know it is very hard to make the soup taste like orignal, but this place is the worst. Taste like water. Two stars for the service since the waitress keep checking on us.

Great food and fast service! The food is really good! Despite a few bad reviews it seems like theyve improved from then. I didn’t have any issues here whatsoever and will be coming here again.

Tried here several times despite the bad review, turned out the food was not that bad(depends on the each person’s taste, i guess). For bun rieu cua, the rieu is made from real crab meat, and i love the ‘cha oc’ there. «Bun dau mam tom”-first time tried it in Houston, normally it’s like a type of street foods in VN, the shrimp paste tasted ok, not salty.

This place used to be Bun Mang Vit Thanh Da, I miss it when it under the the old managerment, the bun mang vit is really good, we eat couple time last year. But now for some reason the bun mang vit is closed they changed the sign to Rieu Cua, and they change the menu. I and my wife ate there when the Rieu Cua is just grand opening for less than a week. Here is our experience: We ordered 2 bun rieu cua. And the soup is very very bad, it tasted like boild tap water mix with noodle, and tofu. It worst than instant noodle that we buy at wal mart. Rieu cua made the worst bun rieu I ever ate in my entire of life. My wife said that she would vomit everytime she think about the bun rieu that we ordered. We miss Bun Mang Vit Thanh Da, and would never ever come back to Rieu Cua again. I rather stay home and eat instant noodle. Just a head up just like most of Vietnamese restaurant this place is accept CASHONLY.
