Best Salvadorian food I have ever had! My family is visiting Houston from Virginia. If I lived in Houston would eat at Rincon Latino every week. The menu has so many choices, I love that. I shared a seafood soup with my brother, we ate pupusas, my husband had mondongo soup, my mom had fried fish… it was all so delicious!

Only Salvadorian restaurant in the area. Waiters and cooks are Salvadorian. props for that. A/C was not working and it was 100 degrees outside.

Food is okay. Place is dirty and unsanitary. They give you a container with cole slaw and give the same cole slaw to someone else once you’re done. Gross.

Not a fan of this place although I have lots of friends that eat here all the time. This place serves Salvadorian food. Most Latino places will serve chips and salsa, this place serves a jar of coleslaw. I am not a fad of this coleslaw, it has a very strong smell, but again lots of my friends can get enough of this coleslaw. I think they can do a better job serving the coleslaw; they will reuse the same jar for the next customers even though everyone has placed their hand inside the jar(with tongs not bare hands, but accidents happen); I think they should instead serve the coleslaw in a smaller bow and refill as needed. Every Wednesday(or is it Thursday) they sell their popussas for $ 1, they place will get very full with people dining in and ordering up to 100 popussas to go, so service is at a craw at these days due to extremely high demand. This is not a place for everyone, you will either like it nor not. Not a place for me, but it may be a place for you.

Hold the mail! What a nice surprise. This local establishment has excellent food, and a menu with some unusual menu options from El Salvador and Honduras cuisine. As the last stop on my «All Dine» Mail Route, Rincon is a low-budget, slightly-worn restaurant with low-cost and used furniture. It shows some age, and consequently, looks like it has potential for bugs. Hopefully, any of those are Stamped-out. Delivered to me: — Chips y salsa: chips are from a supplier, one salsa(red), and medium hot, a bit watery but tasty. Very good. — Cole Slaw(jalapeño in marinade) in a large jar that you use tongs to grab a batch and put on your plate. Certified good taste! — With tacos, they deliver a secret orange sauce vinegar and bit of pepper — Guacamole(cup $ 3): Very very very fresh and chunky, not overly mixed, and with a few chopped onions and bits of red tomato. Excellent. Enough for 2 people. — Two beef tacos for $ 1.75 were delicious. Beef was in small pieces, and had good grilled and seasoned flavor; plus, fresh ingredients, including a sliver of avocado. Put a dab of guacamole and a dab of the salsa, and it tastes wonderful. — Pork & Cheese Pupusa: not much pork, but these also were cooked fresh and tasted delicious. So, no junk mail on this trip. I’ll weigh-in on some interesting menu items: Loroco papusa — a plant from El Salvador(see ) Higado encebollado(liver and onions) Baleadas — Honduran street fast food(Sort of a breakfast taco) Drinks of many flavors Items with Banana or Plantain Next stop on the mail route: Alma Latina(no need to go, someone’s already been there)
