Good stores, but they’re far away from each other, if you ask me(and I’m not a lazy person, I just prefer my stores within a close distance from each other). Discounts are limited and most of the shops are designer branded.

There are good things about this shopping center and bad things about this shopping center. First the good: Barnes and noble booksellers has an excellent selection of dr who DVDs. Plus their Starbucks has a good lunch. Now the bad. Parking. It’s not that great. Please improve on parking!

Very posh, very busy, and sometimes that means stores don’t always provide the best service. But when it’s not busy, the stores over here have some of the best service I have ever had.

Something for everyone! Luke’s Locker — for the days you are taking running seriously River Oaks Theatre — c’mon, with the Angelika long gone there is nowhere else to go Starbucks — indecisive? There are so many you can’t choose wrong Marfreless — get your drink & your people watching on at the same time Krogers — such a better beer selection than Randalls Swirll — froyo super happy fun time Americas River Oaks — fancy and good California Pizza Kitchen — this one is tastier and less obnoxious than the Uptown location Marble Slab — on the days froyo won’t fill you up, get something heavier There is a lot more stuff. These are just my highlights.

This is like if the Galleria and The Village had a lesser known baby. …But with better parking. You’ve got: 310 Rosemont(relocating to West Ave soon, but offering sweet 75% off savings right now) The Gap — Srlsly crazy sales LMD Boutique Two Starbucks, CPK, a few bars and other eats Marfreless(wink) River Oaks Theatre(um, they get five stars from me.) La Mode Lingerie and Swimwear I’m here once a month searching for quick and stress-free fashion finds. They’re up to a bit of construction right now, but it’s nothing worth complaining about.

Don’t want to hit up the galleria but still want a vast variety of stores? This is your place. There is a good mix of retailers along with food options. I enjoy America’s or CPK for a bite. You can stop by Barnes and Nobles for a book. I like coming by especially for my running equipment at Luke’s Locker. Or a dessert at Marble Slab or Swirll. And finally, you can’t forget the historic river oaks theater for indie movies or rocky horror showings! Overall, a way to spend a day OUTSIDE if Houston’s weather cooperates.

This shopping center is a great way to spend a weekend afternoon or evening. Feast your eyes upon the two Starbucks, one on each side of W. Gray, then shop for lingerie or kitchen goods, maybe even paint some pottery. Take in a film and then grab a drink at any of the friendly bars or restaurants. Everything is well-kept and at least reasonably classy. Bring your visiting family members before going to the Galleria or Highland Village if you need to make up for Houston’s cowtown image.
