We were not given drinks promptly after asking twice, despite being at the bar with only two other customers there. The food was ok, we ordered mixed fajitas but they were not good enough to overlook the poor service.

I’ve come here several times for brunch on the weekend. Always delicious always authentic. Lately, I’ve been coming for dinner and drinks. The dinner and beer on draft is priced reasonably. Alex is an awesome. Waiter, bartender, all around restaurant worker. He will make sure you are one satisfied customer. We will be back.

Tried to have a last minute margarita since I’m bored. People are eating, music and playing, and there were people drinking at the bar… but they were closed. I just walked in the door didn’t I? Surly someone wants my margarita money… Cause these guys obviously do not.

No much going on at 230pm, place was empty and I just walking and seated myself. Hostess was not attentive. Now the food. My meal had a margarita included so that’s a plus. To the bad food was ok, had tamale, chicken quesadillas and fajita taco. Rice was really bad and everything was average. I enjoy my margarita and that’s it. Won’t be back

Can someone please Explain to me why this place is still open and HOW It is always packed? This is by far the worst Mexican food I’ve ever had and quite possibly the worst food in general. I nearly left there in tears that I had to spend my hard earned money on such shyte. My husband and I took no more than 4 bites (after they finally got our order right) and didn’t even take it to go. How could you mess up fajitas? This place certainly can. If you know real Mexican food, stay away. This place is garbage at best

My family has been going to Romeros for years, the food is amazing and drinks are good ! My two boys with autism will only eat there. Our favorite go to restaurant. I’ve tried almost everything on the menu and have never not liked something.

I ordred the Green Mole. That was delicious. chicken was tender off the bone. The greem mole was poerfectly spiced. I also like the bean soup with the chicarones.

The food was ok. The service was horrible. Asked 2 different waiters for more chips and both failed to bring them. All our beverage glasses remained empty for longer than 10 minutes before refilled. My food order was wrong. Price was moderate. Probably not going to go back.

Just went to dine in with my family and we were never greeted. We sat in the booth by the bar for 7 mins before we decided to leave. So disappointing! The same servers just kept passing by us & they weren’t even busy.

I’ve been bringing my boys here for a while now and feel bad that as much as I use Unilocal,I never leave reviews. But this place definitely deserves more recognition. El Don is delicious, you can’t beat the price and the quality of food, my fiancé loves the bonitas plate, stuffed avocado and enchilada, she’s always satisfied, my kids love the chicken quesadillas, margaritas are good, salsa is flavorful and hot (temp). This is our spot usually on Fridays. Also, they have good bands playin on the weekend.

The food is OK, but the service is awful. We went once and the chips and salsa weren’t bad and it was an off time so the service was alright. But, then we went during a busy time and. yeah. I’m never going there again. The food was off, the service was awful, and it took us forever to get our food. Then they never came back to refill our drinks until they brought us the check. No thanks. There are a lot of Tex-​Mex/​Mexican places in Houston. This is not one I’ll frequent.

Good local family tex-​mex. Margaritas are good and the atmosphere is great. They have musicians on Thursday, Friday and Saturday which gives a great ambience. Prices are average for a restaurant and the foods fairly good. Better places but I like the feel and it rarely disappoints.

There is a meal on the menu it’s called The Max it comes with a margarita. It came with a tamale, beef chicken taco, chicken quesadilla and rice & beans. Very good. I’m stuffed!

Oh how I’ve missed good Mexican food. This place is a great restaurant. They hAve delicious tacos with hand made corn tortillas which are so delicious. Their margaritas are delicious. Jose was our waiter this evening and he did an excellent job. The good was out quickly nice and fresh.
They also have love music on the weekends. The ambiance is very causal and chill. Looking for a good Mexican joint in copper field this is the place to go. Their menudo is to die for too.

This place is a gem. In the world of Mexican restaurants, they do stand out.
The service has always been good to excellent. As usual not all waiters and staff are equal but I have never had bad or subpar service.
The food, which you should care about the most is great, fresh and served quickly. Try any of the Oaxaca dishes. I have had them all. They are clearly labeled on the menu. Start with the enchiladas Mix-​Tecas.

Enchiladas Mixtecas– absolutely fantastic. Prices are good, margaritas are great. Had live music– a bit noisy but still fun. We had the queso flameado with chorizo– which was delicious. Service great as always.
Note to other customers– control your children, keep them away from other tables and from pulling down the blinds– no one but you thinks they are cute or that they are «just kids» — try being «just parents» parent them or get a baby sitter!
