Évaluation du lieu : 4 Galleria/Uptown, Houston, TX
I work for a boutique near the galleria and we take all our clients repairs to Ruby’s. I drop it off and it’s ready within the next two days. He does fine jewelry, restrings necklaces or bracelets, shortens, he can repair anything, basically does it all and for a fair price too. on top of that, all the necklaces we’ve taken always come out looking better than before!

I’m pretty sure this guy is a racist bastard. This place is on my way to work(im work for one of the cities leading ophthamologist) and looked like a place I could get a fair deal, I’m looking to trade in an old engagement ring for a new one. Today I call at lunch to make sure he can accommodate me, I usually don’t get off until after 5, he told me b/w 5 – 6 would be fine. We happened to finish early today so I was quite excited when I was walking out the building at 430, at 450 o call again letting him know that I was just around the corner and should be arriving in 5⁄10 min, again– no problem. At 4:55 I get to his shop and he won’t even open the door, tells me he’s close.(this is some what understanding– he’s about to close and there’s a black man at your door) So I call the guy and let him knpw, I’m one of the good ones, he’s been talking to all day. That didn’t work, he then suddenly remembered that he had to pick up his kids, then he couldn’t help me because all he does is jewelry and watch repair, then he started talking about selling his business… So, I left, and will never go back. Even though I know racism is alive and strong in America, it still surprises me when I encounter it in 2012. Smh.
