I came to the S.H.A.P.E Community Center for a lecture that I was invited to by a friend. As soon as I entered this wonderful center I immediately felt welcomed. They do an excellent job in preserving the African-​American culture. This is an amazing center that I know I will support in future endeavors. The information within this center is amazing. I learned so much when I was there that I took three pages of notes! I am looking forward to their next event. I would tell anyone that wants to further educate himself or herself on their African culture to attend any lectures or programs that are offered here.

This by far was one of the best cultural, educational experiences in Houston. Although it is just a building it is field with enrichment and has great potential if only we would wake up!
This is a community center worth supporting and visisting. They are attempting to do great things.

Washington, DC
S.H.A.P.E. is truly a community center, in every sense of the term. There are always events and fundraisers that S.H.A.P.E. sponsors to try to better the people of 3rd ward & the greater Houston area. Health, education & the preservation of the African-​American culture are the center’s top priorities. Despite the present economic troubles, S.H.A.P.E. is still building upon it’s 40-​year foundation as a landmark in the city.
