Bought my son a pair the other day. Came home — realized that one shoe had a defect(something sharp inside, on one of the sides). Came back to the store with receipt & original box the next day asking for replacement or store credit — was told that shoes were worn and they can’t help me. There was no sign of wear on them at all… but the cashier was pointing to a sticker inside the shoe that was a bit rubbed off… insisting it was worn.(I guess it rubbed off, when he tried them on at home. I could not prove otherwise). Had to take them to shoe repair shop, to remove sharp edge. Be VERYCAREFUL when you buy anything from them, ask for 2nd pair — when trying anything out and walk inside their store in both shoes, before purchasing them — cause once you buy them, you’re stuck with them…

Shoe Palace has a fairly extensive amount of kicks and miracles can be found there on shoes you may’ve slept on but the customer service, especially regarding the return/exchange policy is the on the level of flea market/strip mall places. They give no refunds and they also can and often short you on exchanges. I exchanged a pair of shoes I bought not even a week earlier for another pair that were about $ 12 less. They not only did not give me my money but they also tried charging me another $ 20 because the shoe I originally bought got marked down despite the fact that the transaction in question was an exchange and it’s common sense that I’d have the receipt in order to do it in the first place! I tried talking to the manager about it but all I got was talking around and more bullshit than the aftermath of the Rodeo. Shoe Palace also has a website which is worse than the physical store in some regards and the same suspect policies apply. All in all, unless you’re sure about what you’re buying or you’ve lucked up and have a shot at some hard to get shoes but circumstances sent you there, better options are available.

I purchased a pair of Jordans last week for my son’s birthday present and after he tried them on at home realized they were too tight and not comfortable for his feet. Mind you when I purchased the shoes they were the last pair of that particular style yet they were not discounted at all, which was fine since I liked the shoe style anyway. I went to the store today to make an exchange for a pair that my son could fit in and to my shock the store clerk said he could not exchange them because he said the shoes looked worn! Seriously? The kid tried them on in the house and could not have looked worn. He said because the Jordan emblem inside the shoe was rubbed off a little piece that they must have been worn for longer than a try on and he would not be able to exchange them. First of all, I should have looked closer before purchasing the shoes to begin with because if they are able to peel off by merely being tried on then I would have thought twice about doing business with them. The guy named Gilroy Hewlett who stated he was the manager flat out told me the shoes had been worn more than being tried on and I was in disbelief that it sounded like he was calling me a liar to my face! I will NEVER do business there again! I am astounded! The fact that they usually never even have the right size in the shoe I like is annoying within itself. I will be calling corporate and tell them about this issue. Now I am stuck with a $ 75.00 dollar nice pair of Jordans that wont be able to be worn because they are too small.

Excellent service and great atmosphere. Most importantly, the manager is one of the coolest people you meet. Screw other sneaker stores, this is the best one.
