I love this place and everything taste good and fresh. Why the 2 stars? We had a nightmare mixed up and I am still trumatized! For my daughter’s birthday, she picked a coffee cake but were given a wrong one. Well, there were hungry girls at the party and the wrong cake looks good so we sang the birthday song and cut the cake open. Boy! Was that the biggest mistake in the century! The smell … I mean the tween girls had to jump away for safety! They accidentally gave us a durian flavored cake! Of course I called and told them all about it. No offer to make things right. Worst yet, a few hours later they called me at bed time and ask me why I hadn’t pick up the cake. WTF? I am keeping the 2 stars rating at least until my house is cleared of the durian smell and I recovered emotionally. The whole situation is funny in a messed up way … or messed up in a funny way. What do you think?

I think they have great Black Forest cake here. My coworker bought one for a fellow employee’s birthday and I thought it was just perfect. The cake was light and fluffy and they use whipped cream which I love because I cannot stand buttercream to save my life!!! Tried their red bean cake which tasted like a moon cake. Their crispy almond thin cookies and coconut bread is good. Pretty reasonably prices for the goodies. I think those giant macarons are pretty darn cute, too.

If you are having a hard time finding th is bakery then you are not alone. It is located waaaay in the back in the Dun Huang Plaza. Once you get here, be prepared for parking lot rage, it’s tight, it’s limited and there are Asian drivers here. O o The place is small but it is clean. It is brightly lit and the bakeries are very low priced. I can remember this bread custard that melted in my mouth as I snuck a bite getting into my car and automatically will remember this place for that when I’m around. I think it’s cash only but I could be wrong. I’m sure the stoic faced cashier will tell you otherwise. Everything seems to be bagged or in it’s own box or package, me likey, don’t put your hands on what I was about to eat ok? Eat good, eat fun and Unilocal it up.

This place was fun! I’m a first timer here as well. It had the same concept as a bakery. Where you pick up a tray and start looking at the shelves they have running along the wall. We got about 3 things and it was 5 bucks. Which you have to pay cash because they don’t except credit cards for anything under ten dollars. The variety is great they have so much stuff and they all look so pretty. And beautifully made. From baked stuff to cold thinks like tarts be puddings I guess lol

Just to clarify, this is the location in Dun Huang Plaza. If you’re having trouble finding parking or getting through traffic on Bellaire, you can park near the Denny’s on W Sam Houston Pkwy, walk back towards the hotel and through the gate. Takes about 5 minutes. Anyway, we’ve been here one or two times — very clean and well-lit, and everything being individually wrapped means you can easily pick up and put down most items to take a closer look. The custard buns(with the sesame seeds on top) are cheap at $ 1.35 each, and the filling is so rich that you can easily cut one in half to share or eat later. They also have chilled desserts that range from $ 2 to $ 5 per piece, but you’d probably pay double that in a restaurant, so if you’ve eaten lunch or dinner nearby this is a great place to get dessert. l’ll probably update my review when I’ve tried one of their cakes. The ones on display look great, but since I want to try the one with the mango slices(there are photos of it for the other locations — go look if you haven’t!) I’m going to wait until the fruit is in season.

They have nice buns!(Pun intended) Anyway this is located in a very dense area. Good luck finding parking space unless you go in that tunnel thingy(I don’t know what it’s called). The buns are on point. They are what they are. Nothing craaazy amazing but it’s pretty good! I mostly go here to get the little cakes by the cashier. Now that is crazy amazing!!! The cake is soo airy! Nothing like a typical cake where you take a few bites and then you get sick of it! The cakes just melt in your mouth and combined with the frosting is like a edible fluffy cloud! I recommend the«dark forest» if I could recall… Which is basically chocolate but like the AWESOMEST chocolate cake ever! Definitely check this place out! Also a bonus for me is they played kpop!!!(NOTGANGNAMSTYLE) well that was the most recent trip… I hope they will continue that!

I like the other location better(bigger selection), but I love Six Ping’s bakery items in general. Love the egg custards, even though I mainly eat the top and throw away the bottom. The thing I noticed with their pastries is that it lasts longer than other pastries — hope that’s not because of some weird mutant ingredient. Regardless, their items are delish and very very affordable!

1. Service — Of the few times I’ve been there, the cashier did not greet or smile. Customer Service makes an impact! With this being said, I have been greeted by friendly employees before, but only 3 out of 10 times. Concept is easy. Grab a tray near the door, grab your items, and pay at the front desk. 2. Price — Items can vary, but pretty cheap. $ 0.50 — $ 2.00 per item. 3. Ambiance — Small, modern, and nice. They’ve remodeled the place, and actually downsized. They use to have a dining area and a public restroom. But the store has since been half the size and no public restroom available. Their menu is now strictly bakery goods. No more Asian dishes. Dress code is casual. 4. Food — Tasty Taiwanese baking goods! People have told me that their cakes are good and not so sweet. They have savory as well as sweet pastry. All are individually wrapped, so you don’t have to worry about other customers touching it. Their cakes have a lot of fruits or to your preference. It’s light and not so sweet. 5. Cleanliness — Very clean. Upkeep is awesome!
