Smile Doctors – Eldridge

I just a lose molar removed instead of getting periodontal surgery. I am looking forward to going in for my partial. Staff was nice enough, dentist very informative.

I will not return here. I had a periodontal surgery with Thalida Dong. The reasons I won’t be returning here are legion, however, the most important are that I was not properly advised of the surgery and recovery process (was told it wouldn’t be that bad and I could return to work that day which was entirely opposite the instructions she gave me post-​op), and the nitrous I requested, they ran out of mid-​procedure. Of course, they didn’t charge me for the nitrous but that was kind of their mistake and they definitely shouldn’t have charged me for it at that point. I advise anyone who is told they need dental surgery, especially periodontal surgery, to get a second opinion before going to a doctor you feel TOTALLY comfortable with if at all possible. I think that was a major part of my issue – on the first visit I did not feel comfortable with this doctor but I ignored my initial gut feeling, and wish I hadn’t. I know I will get that second opinion next time if I am told I need periodontal surgery ever again.
