Smoothie King

I waited over 30 minutes in the drive through line and there were 2 cars in front of me. When I pulled up next to the window, they asked what my order was again! The people working here at night are just plain slow and don’t care about helping the customers get in and out. Avoid this location at all costs! I usually go to the location on Cypresswood and 45 but traffic was so bad if I exited that it would have been a hassle to get there but it would have saved me 25 minutes because I’m in and out of that location in 5 minutes. Most Smoothie Kings hire competent people but the one on 1960 is atrocious.

Guy working there was just plain rude. I asked if the kids drinks had sugar and he said no. I asked if any of them had milk and he said look at the menu it lists what’s in them. Sorry dude but it does not list all ingredients. Excuse me if my kid can’t have milk. Then he said no I don’t think any of them have milk. Ok so if you knew that, why didn’t you just say it. What an ass. And I bet he wonders why he can’t get ahead in life stuck working at smoothie king.

I usually don’t review drive-​thru chains because you more or less know what you’re getting when you go to one, but in my experience Smoothie King really seems to be hit or miss depending on which one you go to, and the mood of the people (or usually, single person) working there.
I’ve had great experiences with some Smoothie Kings, such as the one next to Greenspoint Mall (opens early, great service, takes orders over the phone if you’re in a rush, smoothies are consistently good, etc)
This Smoothie King always tastes rather bland unfortunately, and it’s the same person working up there as well. I don’t know if it’s a difference in how they make it, or the person making it, it’s just always tastes lackluster here, which sucks considering how expensive Smoothie King can be.

What I’d expect for a chain smoothie place. They’re a little slow in the morning– so make time.
