I brought my dog to be Spayed here and j couldn’t have asked for a better experience!
I was kind of nervous because the price is SO cheap, but the result was fantastic!
It took us a while to get here because the GPS was taking us to another address so make sure to leave early so you have enough time to find the place!
When we got to SNAP there were quite a lot of dogs and cats but they seemed to check them all in fairly quickly! Once we got called in a very nice worker greeted my dog first! He was absolutely fantastic with my dog! He played and talked to her I love when a vet actually has passion for the animals and not for the paycheck.
Once they took her to the back to get her surgery we came and picked her up about 5 hours later she was surprisingly still very strong with the anesthetics. They gave us pain medication and a cone collar for the dog.
The incision did begin to open a little bit because when j walked my dog she would still pull even after only a couple hours of surgery. SNAP has a handy system where you can send pictures of your pets incision or questions you have and they will respond! I loved that so much! I sent a picture to the number and they texted back within an hour saying to bring her in. At no extra charge they fixed up her incision with a little bit of glue.
I have to say this was a very good experience and for the price it was even better. I now have to get my male dog neutered and I will be Coming here! I highly recommend this place to all animal lovers!

As an update, turned out she didn’t have Pyometra, so she was not in grave danger at all. A little upset that we were given such an extreme prognosis (that if it were true, would have cost a ton of money for surgery). It’s sad, but it ended up being that she was having a miscarriage. All we needed to do was have her fixed and she was fine.
I think this could still be a good inexpensive place to go, but I’d get a second opinion before forking over money for a big surgery.

Brought in my dog to get spayed, the staff were so friendly and helpful. The services here are really affordable. It was $ 30 to get my doggy microchipped. Depending on how much your dog weighs, i think to get my dog spayed it was about $ 90. I came in to drop off my pet around 7:30, which is the perfect time because you won’t have much of a wait since check in time is between 7:30 — 8:30. I was able to pick up my doggy around 4PM the same day.

Came here to get my boy Levi his puppy shots and was astounded by the kindness of the staff and Doctor. I didn’t catch the docs name but he was great. Very playful with my pup and very informative. I thought the cheap price snap offers would reflect the office, but to my astonishment, the facility was well maintained and clean.
Besides my pleasant experience there, I fell in love with the girl that checked me and Levi in. Hispanic girl in floral scrubs and dolce & gabbana glasses. She was a ¹⁰⁄₁₀ along with the office.

I have only had good experiences with the vet and office staff here. Great place for vaccines and medications to control parasites! I plan to have my dog neutered with their mobile unit, but haven’t been able to wake up that early!

S.N.A.P. is wonderful — they have abated my feral cat repopulation problem! I really appreciate the fact that you do not need an appointment for ferals, and that they let you bring them in a cat carrier rather than having to go out and buy a trap. Kim the manager worked with me and went out of her way to make sure my cats got fixed in a timely manner without me having to take them home and try to catch them again, despite the fact the clinic was overbooked that day. I am really grateful to this clinic for the service they provide, and so are the squirrels and birds around here!

I have to agree with the other people here who gave this clinic high ratings on the value and services they offer as a one stop for everything. The problem is with the staff at the front reception and a nasty attitude some of them have. I went in to have a stray cat get examined, vaccinated, dewormed, and spayed. All of this was an excellent bargain at just over $ 110. An independent vet would charge more than that just for the operation to spay.
Walk in appointments are only for regular care or if your pet is ill. You have to make an appointment for the surgery ahead of time (online or phone) and show up early the day you are assigned. Once you check in you wait before being called into an examination room. Here a technician does the basics like taking the weight and temperature of the pet. You fill out a few more forms and are given the chance to ask questions. Pickup time is usually in the late afternoon (after 3pm).
We kept our cat indoors for 10 days as they instructed and it fully recovered. In fact, I had a cat spayed over 20 years ago and it was in pain/​struggling to recover for several days. With this cat, it was playful and seemed completely pain free only 3 hours after coming home on the day of the surgery. The surgical technology, pain meds, and the skill level of the surgeons seems to be top notch at SNAP. This cat could not have done any better getting back to normal.
I will not go into great detail about the front desk staff but they lack people skills and are extremely aggressive. This is not compatible with the kinds of people (animal lovers) who come to this clinic. If they want to behave aggressively with people, those reception people can go work in the collections industry or something along those lines.
I would point anyone to this clinic but just wait to deal with intelligent life after you get past reception.

The people here most of the time I come are nice and friendly but the management at this place is terrible. I understand they only do walk ins, but they shouldn’t waste anyone’s time. I got there at 1:40pm was in the room with my pet within 20 min. Waited for 90 minutes and was still unattended. Nice people who mean we but just bad service. Left at 3:30 … Pissed
Before coming a couple weeks earlier I called twice and was out on hold 20 min each time. Third time I called I said no I cannot hold, I just had a simple question.

We recently had our 5 month puppy spayed here. In short the surgery went very well and the staff were very courteous. I have read previous reviews regarding the front office staff and all I can say is that based on my experience I suggest that they have worked hard to address and correct the concerns and my experience was very positive. The front office staff were informative, attentive and efficient. We did have an appointment.
The veterinary staff were very attentive and gentle with our puppy. The front office staff provided very clear instructions on the puppy’s recuperation (which was short and sweet). I was called to collect our puppy within the advised time frames.
I held back on 5 stars as our puppy contracted an upper respiratory infection and we had to go to our regular vet and put her on a course of antibiotics for 10 days. Nothing too serious but worth the mention here.
Basically if you choose to bring your pet to this facility remember it is a large facility that treats all sorts of ailments and issues and therefore it’s somewhat reasonable to expect that these sorts of things happen (it could very well happen at your local vet also). Our puppy is now all clear.
I would recommend this facility for its care and cost effectiveness.

The staff, the doctors, and prices are great ;helped tremendously having four animals. They’re so nice to my big chow puppy and even to my Pom and chi. We are so thankful for this establishment.

Our lovely vet quoted us $ 450 to get our baby girl spayed. :(I know all of us aren’t recent college grads without a steady financial income yet, but there’s a HUGE difference between the $ 450 estimate and the $ 130 I paid at SNAP (microchip included); however, the process gave me a weird vibe at the beginning though well worth it.
The patient intake was kind of a stressful mess that had left me worried. A huge room of barking dogs and mewing cats is not anybody’s ideal 7:30AM routine. You stand in line to get your paperwork, then stand in the same line again to fill out/​turn in your paperwork. Annoyingly redundant. It gave me a very odd feeling having to put my dog in the cage that she would sit in all day in a room with both cats and dogs in full-​on panic mode.
I heard nothing until it was 30 minutes to pick her up. The same attendant from drop off was a lot more friendly in the afternoon quiet and answered all of our questions happily– giving us all of the information we needed to stay calm for the rough night ahead (our dog puked after getting peanut butter when she hadn’t eaten yet). I felt a lot more prepared when a very drugged dog stumbled with us out the door.
Definitely a stressful place to be during the morning drop-​off but the discounted service is provided from the heart to help a community with a huge stray population. I will happily continue to donate money to help their goals.
UPDATE:I just wanted to provide an update that 8 months later, and we never had any problem with her stitches or surgery!

This place is super cheap! The staff is super friendly. I went on Saturday, they only had one vet (guess the other one called in sick, I dunno) but there are usually 2. The one vet, Guill, opened the place back in 97. He is super funny with his dog party hats (muzzle), super patient with dogs. Specially with our dog who won’t let anyone touch his paws or legs to draw blood. Always sweet talking them while treating the pup. We also had our cat and they saw both of our pets together. We waited 3 hrs to be seen. (first come Serve and one vet) but Guill was def worth the wait. They are not an emergency vet and won’t treat injured animals. They are a preventative veterinary services.

I liked this clinic a lot! It has reasonable prices and professional staff. I spayed my cats there and they did surgeries very well. The clinic is clean but by the end of the day it smells like a dog to be honest. I definitely return there to get shots for my cats. (I paid $ 140 for spaying, medication, Elizabethan collars, and a carrier for 2 cats).

I called to request my cat’s info be faxed to another Vet’s office. I was immediately put on hold for what ended up being 20 minutes before I just hung up. I called back a dozen times and got the busy tone for the next 3 hours.
I can’t wait to get my cat’s info so I never have to come back here. But judging on how people do their jobs here that may not be for a while

The staff… especially the Vet Dr. Garcia are extraordinary!
The people that use thier services can be odd balls.
I’m telling ya, some of them should not be pet owners or have kids.

Furious!!!
Went in today with 3 kittens and I mama stray. Keeping them so wanted to get a wellness check and any necessary shots. Rude rude rude vet techs and front desk. Young snotty immature help they hire. Vet was very polite though. Yes, the cost are lower if you don’t mind a little side of attitude with your service!

SNAP is a little vet clinic that is known for their no cost or low cost spay and neuter programs. While I cant review those services directly, I have taken my little guy in for his annual vaccinations.
It is a walk in basis for the wellness services (which are exams, vaccs, heartworm and flea meds, etc), so the line can get a little long. I went in on a Monday around 11am, and there were several people waiting. It took me about an hour to get seen (but really it wasnt bad). Once we got into the room the vet and the vet tech were really wonderful, very gentle and caring with my little dog, and super helpful. I only have good things to say about the front desk staff too, they were very polite and also helpful.
All three vaccinations required plus the exam was 65 dollars. That really is pretty affordable, and significantly cheaper than your standard vet.
On a side note, they do not take care of sick animals. This is a wellness center only, so if your pet is sick you will have to go to a standard vet.
I really like snap, and I always make sure to leave a small donation! They are great!

I brought my Barney to get him neutered. I made an appointment online and I received confirmation e-​mail right away. The e-​mail confirms the appointment, explains to you that you can’t feed your little puppy past 10 pm the day before the appointment and to bring your vaccination paper and to drop your puppy off between the hours of 7:30 and 8:30 in the morning.
I brought Barney in around 8:00 am on the appointment date and checked in. I forgot to bring my vaccination paper but I was told that as long as I could fax it in before 10:00 am, then I wouldn’t be charged an extra $ 10 for rabies shot.
I Waited probably around 15 – 20 minutes before I was called in. Waited another 10 minutes inside the exam room before I was asked to Bring Barney to the back room where all the crates are. So the wait time wasn’t too long for me.
I put Barney in the crate and I was told that I could probably pick him around 2:30 pm and that somebody would call me and notify me. The call actually came in around noon and I was told that I could pick him up by 12:30. So I did.
Before they brought him out, I was explained about how to care for a newly neutered dog and what to expect. I asked for a cone and pain medication and went on my happy way home.
All these cost me $ 70 — $ 50 for the neuter, and $ 20 for the pain med and cone. Not too shabby.

As I write this review, I have a male cat recovering from being neutered on my right and a playful female puppy who was spayed at SNAP a few months ago on my left.
The first SNAP services I used were at the I-​10 location to get my puppy spayed. I did not want to deal with doggy heat cycles, so I made sure to take my pup in as soon as she was of age. The price is SO reasonable and the staff is SO friendly. When I dropped her off, I was taken in to a room to answer a few questions and then they allowed me to put my puppy in her cage and put her towel in there with her. I knew she was in good hands. When I picked her up, they gave me the full run down on caring for her and side effects. Her wound healed perfectly with no complications.
The second time I used SNAP services, it was during the Neuter Scooter for a Nickel promotion which was done in their mobile unit at the Harris County Vet Services office. I was lucky enough to get an appointment for this promotion. When it’s only 5 cents to neuter your cat, there is no excuse not to! I made a $ 20 donation because SNAP provides such wonderful services to the community. I dropped my cat off and again noted how efficient and kind the staff was. When I picked him up, I saw that in addition to the neutering, they had also given my boy a rabies shot at no charge.
SNAP really goes above and beyond to prevent the animal overpopulation cycle. I highly recommend this organization for both cats and dogs.

SNAP is really an angel network for dogs and cats. My little princess was overdue to get spaded, and when her favorite doggie daycare wouldn’t take her anymore because she wasn’t and over 7 months I knew it was time. Like any pet owner who loves theirs more than anything, the whole process kinda freaked me out. I had a co worker who took her 4 dogs there, and assured me that the place would take good care of her. I usually go to Montrose Vet Clinic, but when they told me it would be $ 500 to get Lucy spaded, I almost fainted.
I called SNAP, to make an appointment which took a couple of tries, as they dont always answer the phone. The Saturday appointments book up quick, and they tell you to be there at 730a.m. First come, first serve in line. We got there bright and early this past Saturday, and Lucky went in for surgery. I was worried, but they explained the process, and off we went.
They called at 130 to come pick her up and explained what to do on aftercare, and I opted for the pain medication at an additional $ 12.00. She was woozy, and obviously out of it, but we took her home, monitored her, and within 24 hours she was back to her old self.
All in all, a great experience, that I would highly recommend to anyone looking to get shots, or spading or neutering. They also sell heart worm, and flea medication at discounted rates.
