Should of read reviews before even stepping foot in this place. Understaffed(only one person) place was filthy, and when I asked how much time the stylist thought it would be until my son would be cut, she had complete attitude. This is a kids place, kids don’t have the patience to wait on something they already don’t want done. Left as quick as I could. Will warn all my mom friends to stay clear.

Someone sucked all the joy out of the stylist here. She looks like a dementor got to her. I’m never coming here again. Not quality work, too long a wait, stupid toys your kids will want/break, and dementors.

I had always cut my daughters hair at home, nothing fancy. As a treat one day I decided to take her here after school. When we walked in, the place was deserted and one stylist was working. My daughter was 6 at the time, and has long and very thick hair. They didn’t have any books or pictures to pick out a style, so I asked that they cut some layers into it to give it some shape. They stylist made a sort of snide remark that unless I heat styled it everyday that it would look terrible, and then just did a blunt cut and trimmed the bangs. I was hoping to get her shampooed, but she just started cutting right away, like she couldn’t wait to get us out of there. It came out looking like when I cut it at home using a ponytail holder as a guide, which isn’t terrible, but definitely not something you would pay a salon for, plus later that night I found I had it clean it up my self anyway. The whole cut and style took all of about five minutes she was«done», and you could barley notice a difference, in fact when we got home so quickly, my husband thought we hadn’t gone yet. After the brief cut, I was thinking I would buy my kid some fancy products to kind of make up for the let down of her first salon experience. But the cashier had already rung up me and was cashing me out, like we were inconveniencing her and could not get us out fast enough. It’s worth mentioning that this was at 4pm in the middle of the week, about 2 hours before they had to close, so I wasn’t holding anyone up from going home. I felt horrible because I could tell my daughter was really disappointed. I had never done the«kids» type of salon thing before, so maybe my expectations where off or maybe she was too old, but either was I would never do it again. I would rather pay more at a regular salon and get more professional service and results.

I can’t speak for the quality of cut as we never got to experience it. After calling to try to make an appointment, I was told on the phone to come in and no wait. When I showed up with my daughter, only 1 person was working and was in the middle of cutting a little boys hair. She told me to have a seat and she’d be right with us. Over 20 min later and she was on to the boys sisters hair. It would have been nice for her to say there was a longer wait so I could have decided whether to wait or not. Who wants to wait for over an hour with a 6 year old at a kids haircut place? No thanks. I got in right away at a nice salon down the street as soon as we left. Needless to say, I won’t be back. If I could have made an appointment or the lady had the courtesy to tell me it would be a while there would be no problem. But I don’t appreciate being deceived.

I’ve been to this Snip-It’s probably 5 times over the course of a year and it’s definitely a solid 3 star establishment. I like that Snip-It’s centered towards kids however be prepared for your little one to fall in love with one of the many overpriced trinkets available at toddler eye level. Also, expect to wait 15 – 20 minutes… there are usually only 2 stylists working and during that wait time inevitably your kid will find the toys & trinkets, play with them to keep themselves occupied during the wait time & then of course fall in love with them by the time the haircut is finished. Every stylist my child has seen has been pleasant and taken their time. The haircut is ok… not like magazine worthy but decent. There is a really bad 10 minute video they turn on for the kids during the cut(it kept my son slightly entertained) along with animal crackers & lollypops at the stylists hair station. I think the prices are a bit on the steep side BUT if you come here on «Wacky Wednesday» haircuts are like $ 12 vs the usual $ 22. It’s always kind of a wash for me though considering I’m always suckered into purchasing a $ 10 toy.
