Man behind the counter was really nice even though he was chewing food and serving customers at the same time. Twice did two large chunks of food lunged from his mouth into my face. I really wanted to give this more stars but couldn’t because my funnel cake was burned. The sno ice was also syrupy and had a bad flavor to it. Store was empty when I went in on a Saturday.

I have been to this place twice. Once my friend ordered tacos. She enjoyed them. The second I stopped by on my own and ordered the fish and shrimp plate. It did not take long to get my order. The fish tasted like cod or haddock. I was pleasantly surprised that the flavors were spot on. The fries were peeled there and cooked fresh and hot. YUMMY! Way better than Captain Bennys, Pappadeauxs, Baytown, Red Lobster and Joes Crab Shack. Its so hard to find good seafood in Houston. The tartar sauce was even good. It was nicely packed under the wax paper and underneath those delicious fish and shrimp. My plate was almost gone by the time I made it home. They could probably buy some ac units if they shrink the menu. They offer too many items which is hard for one attendant to prepare and take orders. There are always 3 – 6 customers there. My order took around 10 mins. I gave 4 stars because the owner was obviously too lazy to go buy small snowcone cups. He missed a lotta business that day cause 4 people came in wanting a small. He needs to tell the attendant to put a small portion in larger cups if he runs out of small cups. I would never let a customer leave empty handed. Over all my experience was good. Having been a successful business owner here are 3 keys to success for the owner of Sno Grill: 1) get air conditioning 2) keep cups 3) reduce your menu and offer fewer items at a higher price and upsell those items. I just want yall to be around for a long time so I can stop buy and get that fish and shrimp plate:-)

I wish I could give this place no starts. I decided to go here because my usual spot was closed. Once we entered we were greeted by a man in the back of the place. After about 5 minutes of standing there, he says«are tall here for snow cones» we replied«yes». We noticed that they have a big list of flavors. I couldn’t help but notice that there was about 6 bottles of the syrup on the counter. The guy then tell us the only flavors he has available are the ones that are displayed. I immediately left. I was not very pleased nor will I return to try anything.

Great hamburger and fries! Excellent quality, reminds me of the old school era. The grill is the key to a wonderful burger. Also, great customer service, the cashier Christal, was really helpful and polite. I will be back.

My kind of hidden grill. We were greeted as soon as we entered and order made fresh in front of us. I look the do it yourselfers that run small places like this. Fried were great and burger was greasy. Mmmm

If they had a sign out front that said«Worlds most delicious hamburgers» and the place was called BurgerGrill I would give this place 5 stars because the burger I had was amazing. I’m generally of the thought that most burgers taste similar enough that none usually stand out. The flavors on this burger are amazing. But that isn’t why I went here, I went here because this place is called SNOgrill and the sign says«The softest ice in the world». This statement is false. The softest ice I’ve ever had is at Bahama Bucks and this place is no where near that soft. I’d give it a 5 or 6 out of 10 on the sno cone scale.

After going to SnoGrill twice I have been trying really hard to experience the friendly customer service that others have noted, but on both occasions the service has been bad, specifically from the women taking my order. If it wasn’t for the fact that I occasionally crave a decent Snoball, I don’t know if I would go back.

I almost don’t wanna write this review because then you’ll add to my wait time at lunch(which is already really long)! Why did Houston hide you from me for so long, SnoGrill? Maybe it’s because you’re disguised as an big, brown apartment complex looking building. Is this your form of crowd control? I’m so glad I listened to all the wonderful, beautiful things about you, now a start to a great relationship… sigh. It’s both a grill and a snoball(snocone) place, with a whole lotta comfort food favorites — their self-proclaimed famous SnoBurger(made from 100% fresh beef, never frozen), SnoFries(Fresh Idaho Cut Fries with cajun seasoning — my favorite!!), chicken tenders, nachos, chilli cheese hotdogs, cajun fried catfish and tilapia, butterfly shrimp… and for those of you watching what you’re eating(sorta) they also have salads. see, something for everyone! OH, did I mention that they make hot and fresh FUNNELCAKE? hot, fresh, wafting-through-the-air-to-greet-you-at-the-door, funnel cake? YES! Their motto is that they have«The Softest Ice in the World,» and I’ve gotta say, they really do! You can get a kid’s cup($ 1.50), the small(12oz, $ 2), large(16 oz, $ 3), large(22 oz, $ 4). I went ahead and ordered the small, which btw is REALLY hard to finish, which is great for the price. They pile the ice and flavor on! I asked they guy at the register, who was really helpful and friendly by the way, what flavors were popular and chose the Tiger’s Blood — SO good. My only gripe is that they put a little too much syrup on there. But I know plenty of other snocones I’ve had were they totally skimp you on the syrup. I’ve never experienced the opposite. Of the 50 Homemade Flavors, these include the standard: Stawberry, Pineapple, Lemon-lime, Blue Raspberry. Also include some interesting sounding ones: Wedding Cake, Ice Cream, Hurricane, Georgia Peach… and their special flavors, which get even more bizarre sounding: Batman, Spiderman, Spongebob, and more, including The Mystery Man, where if you can guess the flavors in it, you get your SnoBall free :) Toppings and special additions to your SnoBall: Cream, Warhead Spray, Pixi Sprinkles, Rainbow, 3rd Ward Diablo(what is that? I’ll update you when I go back and let you know…), and Sweet Pulk. Not enough? You can create the Cream Dream: where the put a scoop of homemade vanilla ice cream in the middle of your snoball. The day I tried out it(and be warned) I JUST beat the long lunch line out the door, which from what I heard is how it usually is, so get there early! It’s a small space. They lunch special that day was fried or grilled catfish or tilapia, SnoFries, and a drink for $ 4.99. seriously, $ 4.99!!! Nothing here costs over $ 10. I’m gonna have to return again… and again… and again… to make sure I eat everything.

I would venture to say that SnoGrill might have the best burgers in Houston! As the only other fresh-beef burger stand I know of in town, SnoGrill definitely gives Hub Cap Grill a run for its money. As a native Chicagoan, I grew up on fresh-cut fries. SnoGrill takes fries one step further with a Southwestern/Cajun twist — the seasoning is excellent! Fantastic meal aside, where else can you find snow cones, actually made with the softest ice, and funnel cakes any day of the year? SnoGrill takes these guilty pleasures out of the festival or rodeo and into everyday life. Quick, friendly staff and excellent, inexpensive comfort food. Venture off the beaten path and give SnoGrill a try — you won’t regret it! But get there early, because the place is packed for lunch!

This location was recommended by a fellow co-worker, so a bunch of coworkers decided to scope it out! The weather was hot, however the snow cones were delicious. I ordered a cherry cream snow cone. This sweet smell of funnel cakes filled the air as we walked in. Their staff was extrememly friendly. I cannot wait to return for a funnel cake. .umm chili cheese fries!
