So I’m visiting my family in Houston I’m from California and there is probably only 3 sonics out there. I hate writing reviews because I’m a waitress whose has a Unilocal review. This is my very first time at sonics ever and it was horrible. The rudest lady took our order and was just plain rude. We would ask a question and she would just breath loudly on the mic and answered us in a nasty attitude. Anyway if all the sonics hire rude people I will never go to this place ever. Wait to go sonics employee you ruined my first experience!

I hate writing reviews for fastfood… Service was okay. They were busy but it took them a good 15 – 20 minutes before we actually got our food. I ordered their popcorn chicken… chili cheese fries and wanted to be adventurous and try their watermelon nerd slushie. Nothing stood out. Chili Cheese Fries wasn’t the best. The fries weren’t even crispy. it was soggy and disgusting. popcorn chicken was ehhhh. Couldn’t expect anything better from a fastfood joint lol Watermelon nerds slushie. Keep in mind that it’s watermelon syrup flavored slushie with nerds poured in… Nearly choked on the drink because I wasn’t anticipating chunks of nerds in my slushie! Ehhh. If I’m desperate. I’ll come back. but that’s rare. Too many places to eat to settle for mediocre.

Worst sonic in Houston. There’s a black guy there I don’t know his name young guy very rude no personality doesn’t know how to even fake smile a little bit and get pissed off if you ask him for a damn spoon. You sit at the speaker waiting which feels like eternity and when they come on they want you to wait a minute why they get their s*** together. Never coming to this location again.

Drive thru service is bad. They didn’t ask what size I wanted my sonic blasts. When I tried to tell them through he intercom, there was no answer for 4+ minutes. Then they brought out two giant sized blasts. They need to either get heir intercom fixed or have someone on the other side who is actually listening. The car behind me left in frustration after they were unable to connect to a person through the intercom. When they finally brought me the correct sizes, ice cream was oozing down the cups. No napkins were offered and when I asked for some he said he didn’t have any. I had to specifically ask him to go inside and get some. Pretty disappointing.

The only reason I’m writing this is because the wait time is so ridiculous that when we drove up to the speaker they said we will be right with you… time is ticking and they never came back –_– smh. So we left *sigh*. If you want to wait an obscene amount of time to just take your order come here or go to another and pray that the wait is better or better yet there is no wait time!!!

Worst service I’ve ever had at this location. Not to mention the luke warm food. It took three tries to flag someone down just to get a few extra napkins. Don’t know if I’ll be back to this location.

This Sonic has terrible service. I have left on several occassions due to having to wait 5 or more minutes for someone to take my order in the drive-through, and I don’t mean waiting behind other cars, but I mean being at the menu and just sitting there forever. Today, I just parked in one of the stalls and ordered, after sitting for almost 10 minutes in the drive-through and never having my order taken. No matter what, it takes 10 – 15 minutes for the food to finally cone out. The food is usually pretty good, but not worth the wait and frustration.

we stopped by tonight, i place an order for a chocolate sundae and request nuts and bananas, we waited at least 15 from time of order to recieving sundae, service was extremely slow tonight and drive in was not busy. we heard screaming and cursing by an upset drive thru customer complaining about his order and being over charged, yes we could hear him, there was also a customer in a vehicle behind him which was also pissed and drove around to a parking spot from drive thru lane to request service, he had also ordered in the drive thru and seemed like he had waited to long, carhop finally carries out his order, he didnt sound happy, plus another male customer pulls in presses order button and waits a few minutes maybe five, no one answers for his order he mumbles something gets back into his car and drives away, finally our order arrives minus the nuts, the carhop apologizes and returns a minute later with nuts in a small container, i would have given a negative number as a review but one star is the lowest available.

New GM! Better service, better food, better employees. Even though some of these people have had bad experiences, it’s still worth trying. Things have changed in a course of 6months and its noticeable. Quicker service(whether it be from carhop or manager), the quality of the food is significantly better than before, and the employees will help you with whatever you need, just don’t hesitate to ask! This place has definitely drastically changed within the past 6 months(in a good way). Hopefully it remains that way, I’m sure it will!

I come here often bc it’s the closest Sonic to me, but I’m ALWAYS left disappointed for one reason or another. Sometimes the slushy is too watery, ketchup or correct condiment not given, they take too long, some machine(slushy, ice cream, etc) is not working, food is burnt, or credit card machine is not functioning so they have to take my card inside. Too annoying. I’ll still continue coming here bc, well, at least most of the order will be correct, so one or a few of my cravings will get satisfied, but I still must warn… check your order before you leave! Don’t wait ’til you get home and end up disappointed! Condiments are a big deal to me, so that’s usually the most annoying thing when they don’t get it right.

While I LOVE Sonic — this one was really a disappointment. After a grueling trip to Costco and standing in 20-deep lines of people buying things in such bulk that you might think of them of ‘preppers’, I passed this Sonic heading home. In order to satisfy my craving for tater tots, I made a U-turn and pulled-in. The service was not great. I had to repeat my order 3 times and even then the kid on the other end still had it wrong. However, the 4th time was a ‘charm’ and he finally understood that I didn’t want cheese on my tater tots. The burger was ‘blah’ — bun was ice cold and the meat was lukewarm, which was not a good combination. The tater tots — no salt? What is it with places these days? They either dump a ton of salt on things are go for the whole ‘no salt’ whatsoever slant. I am a sucker for fountain diet coke and this was the one saving grace. Will I go back? Probably, because the craving for tater tots will overcome me at some point, I will be in the area of this Sonic and time will have dimmed this lackluster experience. Or maybe I will remember this experience while shopping with the ‘preppers’ and just buy a 50lb bag of tater tots, cook them myself and add just the right amount of salt.
