Spring Creek Barbeque

Had food poisoning 2 times eating a bake potato with briquette in two different occasions never again have I ordered a potatoes but I still go every once in a while.

I write this review is not about their food but the attitude of treating new customer. My daughter and I come to this location first time for our lunch and a little confused on how to order. After they served the lady in front of me, their people have ignored us even we are the only customers at that moment, they are too busy to serve the big order but Hello, we are in front of you! One of manager, Michael, was extremely rude, he really made me felt «Shame» to be their customer. Is this the restaurant in Katy? WOW! Unbelievable! If you new for them, don’t go! Especially your children, it makes them scare!

Pitiful place to eat. Food is bland. BBQ is ordinary. Sides are tasteless. Even though you get unlimited sides, who would want more of them. The only thing they have going for them is free bluebell on Sunday. Stay away.

I’m giving a 4 star as the average. I drop by this location about once a week. This week the salad dressing was a little watered down. The service is consistent and quick. Love the bread lady handing out fresh bread

Great barbeque. Great service.
Ordered for 35+ HUNGRY people for a production set… and it was hot and ready in less than an hour! Ribs, extra barbeque sauce, brisket, chicken, coleslaw, macaroni, bread… very good. Not a hassle ordering or picking up! Highly recommend for large groups or events!

Friendly Take Out employee is a pleasurebto deal with. And cannot wait to get home and pig out! Love me some bbq.

Love this place. Restaurant atmosphere is pleasant and comfortable. The employees are always cheery and nice. I love the Brisket sandwich and potato salad. The fresh rolls that are offerd are just sinfully delish! They are always nice when ordering takeout ans always offer you a free drink and bread while you wait! Be sure and order Rolls to go!

This place is nasty, the food taste so gross. All the sides were tasteless, my husband and I both became sick after eating at this place.

I assume I came at a slow time of the day. Service was not what I normally get. Waitress offer the table next to me hot rolls then walked away as if I wasn’t there. Another person had to go get rolls from her as she was holding a conversation with another employee. But the food was good as always.

Reasonably priced and DELICIOUS BBQ! The food is always consistent and the staff is friendly too! I usually get either their rib plate or moist brisket which I highly recommend, and their BBQ sauce is one of the best I have ever had. You must try their hot rolls — they have someone walk around with a bread basket and offer fresh out of the oven rolls.

I love this place. I forgot about how good this place was. I went several times last year. I just went back for the first time after several months yesterday. I was greeted with a smile. I ordered the Baked Potato All The Way. I was offered a drink while I waited. The guy who took care of me was friendly and started making my order right away. He brought it to me and it was loaded to the max! I got it to go. It was so good when I got it home. It was still hot too! I had to wait for it too cool down. I love that! Even though I was really hungry, I waited. That’s awesome take out food. I’ll bet if they delivered, it would be the same quality food and service unlike the pizza joints in the area. You can’t go wrong with Spring Creek! I’m glad I didn’t go home and order pizza delivery. That’s for sure. I’m considering buying a pound or 2 of the meat next time I go. And… maybe a potato again too! This is once again a favorite in my neighborhood. No more Papa Domino Hut for me. LOL!

Came here for an AVON meeting (
) during lunch and it was pretty good. The employees were friendly and I love that they let you rent out the room. It is pretty difficult however to maneuver into their parking lot. Especially at the turnaround.

I give this place 5 stars for consistency. It’s WAY better than Pappa’s! The Q is better than average for a franchise barbecue joint. The brisket is moist and flavorful. But hell, all the meats here are good. So are the deserts. The staff is always friendly and polite. Service never disappoints. Every time I have ever come here I have left a happy customer and so, I keep coming back for local and CONVENIENT Q. There is much better Q at lesser known, non franchise establishments. But this here is pretty damn good.

Over the years I’ve been to many barbecue places, but this one was a first for me and I will say some good choices. You walk in and it’s an aisle where you can walk and order your food from the menu. Plus you can get all the sides you want and a drink. They even have desserts!
I order the combination: two or three meats of your choice in one meal. I had the pepper sausage, ham, and the ribs. Then I had a nice refreshing root beer with it. The sausage was a nice taste, and the pepper really gave it a kick. The ham, as always, is cooked warm and to a perfection.
The one thing I liked the best were the ribs. The juiciness with the barbecue sauce, and the tenderness to which the ribs are cooked. I really enjoyed the meat on them and really would come back for that. The sauce is really good and better than some of the barbecue sauces I’ve had elsewhere. There were other individual meat meals for this place, but I feel that trying a variety of meats here will get your mouths full. It also made a craving for me to have more, even though I was stuffed.
I will give this restaurant a thumbs up for its spectacular barbecue and would bring a friend back here to try the delicious meats available. The atmosphere is also nice: a country feel to the restaurant with the setup and music. I also would say the prices are really good for this restaurant, and will come back to try more combos of delicious meat.

A little expensive, but the brisket and links are good. They have rolls instead of sliced bread. It’s good but I’d rather have sliced. The baked beans aren’t great but the mac and cheese is awesome. All u can eat sides make the price worth it for me.

Although this Spring Creek is closest to my home, I go to others for the friendly employees and better tasting food. The ones on 290 & FM 529 have better meats and friendlier employees. For the prices they charge, I won’t be wasting my money at this one on 1960.

3.5 stars rounded up to 4. Was visiting Houston, and in the way long past, had visited their place in Richardson, TX near Dallas. So, I went for it. Same set up You come in line, get a tray, order your meal, ladle hot bbq on, and fill up with sides. Drinks available. Then pay the cashier, and select a table. One thing I really like is that they come around from time to time and offer you a hot roll. Very nice touch.
I had the ribs and brisket. Ribs were tender and fell off the bone. Brisket was moist. Both were very tasty and I do like their sauce which is not as thick as others, but has a nice semi-​sweet tomato based taste.
I enjoyed the meal and it reminded me of long ago. Food was good and I liked the visit.

Everything I had here was mouthwatering, tender and delicious! I had the brisket, peppered sausage, and ribs (best I’ve ever had) along with a roll and a couple sides! It was absolutely delicious and if I’m ever in the area again, I will be back!

Something has changed…
I have been a customer for about 3 – 4 years, going once a month or so for take out. The food has always been good and service extremely consistent.
Tonight was different. After waiting in line 4 – 5 minutes to order, I figured out the guy standing at the counter talking about the army was somehow connected to the restaurant as he walked into the back.
I placed my order and was asked to pay first, doesn’t bother me but is inconsistent with past practice. I wasn’t offered a complimentary drink, another change.
Wait…wait…wait, when she said my order was ready I realized it had been sitting there for 7 – 8 minutes. When I asked the girl «why» she said «oh I was working on another order». BS… she was chatting with other employees right in front of me.
My whole experience on a busy night takes 10 – 12 minutes, tonight was 20−−25.
I got home to dry chicken although the ribs were still good.
There business was built one customer at a time, service like this they will lose it one customer at a time.
