There’s not much not to like about this place. Huge dance floor, huge parking lot, nice crowd, pretty good mix of music(2 step, polka, west coast, line dancing, hip hop), reasonable drink prices. I’ve been here several times — including a few concerts(Dustin Lynch; Tracy Byrd & Tracy Lawrence) — hope to see Pat Green there in January. Pretty nice venue to see performers up close and personal. I highly recommend Stampede — only wish it was a little closer. But come to think of it, maybe that’s a good thing; if it were any closer, I’d probably spend way too much time there.

Not a bad place to hang out and have a beer. I was there for a soccer game. The crowd was polite and of all different ages. Good service, too.

I really liked going to this bar. I went on a Friday night during a live concert. Cover charge was harsh, but if there’s not a concert going on you can check in to Unilocal for no cover. They mostly serve liquor but have Shiner, Budweiser, Coors, and others I can’t remember… my point being your alcohol needs will be met. Wasn’t overly crowded, music was LOUD though. too loud. Maybe I’m just getting old. Pool tables are available and the place is really big. Easy to find a spot to sit or room on the dance floor to two-step :) Enjoyed going here and will most likely return. Huuuge parking lot, located off highway 59. Dress is casual, jeans and cute shirt with boots.

I love Stampede, one of, if not the best, Country Bars this side of Dallas. This is a huge bar with two levels, big stage with the best acts I would think in town and a sound system which is first class. I recently saw Mickey Gilley and Johnny Lee play on the same night. Lots of pool tables, free poker and drink specials. We have come for the free dance lessons and stayed to dance the night away. Parking has never been a problem as it looks like a parking lot enough for two car dealerships. Not sure about the guy wearing shorts or not getting fast service because these girls are fast and hot.

Surprised that I didn’t see a similar review yet. I have frequented this club for at least a year. Tonight, the female bathroom attendant(nearest the dance floor) held my cell phone ransom for tips because, by her own admittance, she hadn’t gotten enough tonight. The manager took me into the bathroom to confront her and, after no explanation other than that she had it, knew exactly where my phone was hidden. It seems the managerial staff has done this before. Though I appreciate a clean bathroom, a business should pay for maintenance rather than rely on some poor soul with no other income than tips to shine their toilet. I am furious more at the establishment than at the poor innocent soul trying to make a buck. Whisky River bound!!!

Here for the Josh Abbott concert but the bar was severely understaffed. It took about 30min to get a single beer. When the big concerts happen, it would be nice to have more staff on board. The bartenders were working hard, but there was way too many people to help. The management did a very poor job of having enough people to help. Pretty pathetic. Hopefully, they can learn from this for future concerts. I’d hate for their bartenders to get blamed for the incompetence of management. Expect to go to beer tub girls with cash or wait a miserable amount of time for a drink.

My wife and I choose this place as our go to date night! No one bumping in to you drama free place and free dance lessons can’t beat it!

This place sucks. Was given a hard time for wearing shorts. I’m not a cowboy. Apparently they are not allowed here but I was allowed in this one time. lol A club that doesn’t allow shorts? I saw another guy in there who had the same style shorts I had on and they didn’t say anything to him about it. Didn’t see a single good looking female there.

I will never return to this club! My girlfriend and I where dancing, and a group lesbians where standing on dance floor, we pumped into them and they tried to fight my Girlfriend and I. I broke up the altercation and security asked us to leave! The other females who started the fight wasn’t asked to leave, just my Girlfriend and I. So if you are looking for the new upcoming gay club this is the place to be, because they care more about protecting people who start there fight rather their loyal customers. This is not a country bar at all!!! If you are looking for a good country bar go to Big Texas!

Never been a country fan until my friend took me out to this place. I had one of the best nights in my life here. The staff is amazing and the drinks are good. When I come back to Houston this will be one of my destinations for the weekend

Stampede Houston is truly the best bar I’ve ever been to. Anything that could be wrong with a bar, they’ve thought of it and made it right. The DJ played a great mix of country and a little bit of hip hop, even some older jams like Funky Cold Medina. Bartenders are friendly and pour a strong drink. The bathrooms are huge, clean, and even have an attendant. The whole place is clean; I noticed bouncers and bussers cleaning up regularly throughout the night. We were there for a Randy Houser concert, so I’m not sure if it’s different on a non-concert night. This was a great experience and we will definitely be returning.

Without a doubt one of the biggest and best country western nightclubs you’ll ever see! Pool tables galore, big hardwood dance floor, great waitstaff and bartenders plus it’s right off HWY59! Easy In and easy out with plenty of parking!

Just a fun place! Been several times and every time it’s just good fun! Music is mostly country but, they mix it up… line dancing(country and hip hop) …drinks are affordable… place is clean. Overall a really fun night out with mechanical bull rides(free)… Pool tables and tons of room to move around once off the dance floor! Definitely try the place out!

One of my favorite spots to go out in Houston. They play all the top country hits and a few old classics every now and then. The dance floor is huge. Cover is $ 7 but that’s ok. The drinks are relatively inexpensive. I’ve also attended a couple of concerts here. My one complain is the increasing amount of hip-hop they’ve been playing recently. I love all music, but I’m not at stampede to listen to rap

I flew into Houston for vacation and wanted to check out some of the night venues. When my friend suggested the Stampede and mentioned that they have free mechanical bull rides, I was sold on the idea of going. Check in on Unilocal on Fridays for free cover and a free drink. The music is great and they change it up occasionally so it’s not all country(I wouldn’t mind even if it is all country music). The dance floor isn’t very crowded. They have plenty of pool tables that you can play for free. I was also told you can sign up to participate in their pool tournaments. You can line up for free mechanical bull rides. The drinks there are reasonably priced. Very friendly waitstaff.

Recently, I flew to Houston to celebrate my birthday with my boyfriend and his family(my boyfriend and his dad have birthdays close to mine). On my special day, we asked locals for a good place to have a night out and they recommended Stampede. This hall was, for a lack of a better word, the most awesomest highlight of our trip. Cover included free mechanical bull rides all night as well as billiards. Coming from California where clubs are small and cramped, this huge location was a breathe of fresh air(figuratively as they actually allowed smoking inside). The bartenders were friendly and the music was fun. Definitely a place worth visiting for a good night out.

As an out-of-towner from the big D visiting H-town, this country bar has met beyond my expectations. Strong drinks, hot men in cowboy boots and hats, great music playing, and a great spread out venue. Drinks were reasonably priced and they were made pretty strong. Not to bash the drinks made back in my hometown, but my vanilla vodka coke that I had at the Stampede Houston made the Long Island Iced Tea in Dallas pretty wimpy. Now folks if you think that just because it’s a country bar it only plays country music and all they do is two-stepping — think again. One minute they would play country and the next song they play would be a hip hop/techno/whatever top hit 40 dance music. Yes bogey-ing in their cowboy boots and hats!
