Great place to get anything you want! Nice people and a very friendly and welcoming place to be and place to shop. They also have great selections of beers. Probably the best convenient store I have been to in my lifetime.

I like this grocery store. They offer a really wide range of products and it’s usually very fresh. I wish they had more locations over the Houston area because these one is a bit out of my way.

The Heights, Houston, TX
You can’t beat the convenience of this store. They are two streets away from us and our «go-​to» for most situations. Incredible beer and wine selection. If you want them to carry a specific brand, just ask and make sure to follow up on the purchase. They never fail to follow up with any request. As far as a range of stock, it’s pretty impressive. Anything from slot machines, pipes, food, dvd’s, ice cream, porn, great selection of smokes and vapes… it goes on. Prices are a bit higher, but that’s whre the «convenience» part comes into play. Best of all, the staff is the best. Always a good chat and good laughs. I stop at Joe’s every day, except when we aren’t in town. Pun intended.

The idea of reviewing what is, essentially, a bodega seems a little ridiculous. But Unilocal gets dubious of all my 5-​star reviews, so I needed to review something that I would legitimately rate under that mark.
I live close to Stop at Joe’s. They have a really impressive beer and wine selection for a corner store. But, my God, it’s incredibly overpriced. One individual who works there especially loves to change the price of an item at the cash register, and it’s always an upward movement.
They also have a water dispenser outside, which is sort of convenient. A sign says it takes exact change only, but it has given me change. Sometimes. It doesn’t pour a true gallon of water, and some of it spills because of the design of the machine.

My favorite convenience store in Sunset Heights. friendly staff and most anything you are looking for. Normally there is a bowl of fresh fruit for those of us that aren’t candy eaters.

A lil pricey but I suppose «par for the course» in relation to other options nearby. I usually walk here, as I live pretty close. There is usually an unfortunate sitting just outside the door waiting for a handout (you are forewarned).

Good ‘ol Joe’s… I walk here all the time– although I wouldn’t necessarily recommend it.(especially at night) It’s a convenience store, but I feel like it has a lot of character and charm. Lucky Cat guards the store from his perch up on the counter. They have a vast array of scratch-​off tickets.(«Cadillac Cash» is my favorite!) This was where I had my introductory V8 V-​Fusions experience. I usually just get juice or gatorade or beer here. The folks that run the store are super nice and they know all the neighborhood people. One time they told me a story about one of the regulars winning the big lottery and getting a check for $ 10k every month. I wanna see a movie based on this place one day…
