Solid spot for a good Mexican breakfast. I will say the ladies working the register don’t jump for joy when you walk into the restaurant so if you are the pretentious type who thinks people should bow to you when you enter you should probably stay away. The food is consistent and always good. I’m a big fan of the migas plate and probably go for that 8 out of ten times. The breakfast tacos are really good and well put together as well. The hot sauce(green) is hot as hell but really tasty. I don’t live close but when I’m in the area this is a definite stop for me. I’ve been coming here for 10yrs now and it’s as consistent as ever w the same ladies running the show.

Came in on a Sunday morning, place was not very busy at all maybe 2 customers in front of me. Ordered 3 breakfast tacos with a side of shredded cheese which somehow was more expensive than the taco itself? On top of that waited a whole 30 minutes to get my to go food. When I asked the lady about the wait she was super rude and told me to stop complaining so unless you have a whole 30 minutes to waste sitting waiting for mediocre food I would stay away from this place.

My husband went to Sunrise Taquitos on Memorial Dr. last week and they charge us twice at our bank account, he call and the lady that answer was rude and just kept saying no we didn’t and my husband kept telling her yes we have it on record in our bank account transactions when he told her it was on record all she said was it must of been the bank not us so you fix it with your bank we will NEVER go there again I have a feeling they charge double and the ones that never check their bank accounts double pay this people! I’m so mad so I have to add that lady is an IDIOT!

The store door plainly says it is open until 2:00PM, but my experience has been on more then one occasion I’ve gone to find the door is locked, and the chairs are on the table. I believe the unfriendly women that is in charge thinks she needs to clean up starting at 1:30 so that she can leave by 2:00. The same lady also takes orders acts as if she is unhappy to be there. She is rude, never smiles and thinks she is doing customers a favor by taking their orders. There are other taco stores in the area that appreciate serving their customers. If you want to be treated terrible I suggest you give them a try otherwise choose some place that cares.

It’s true the lady working the front counter does have a gruff demeanor but once you take a bite out of those breakfast tacos you’ll probably fo’gettaboutit. Attached to a gas station, this is one of those spots where you’re eager to take friends because you feel like you’ve found some hidden gem in an unexpected part of town. However, the cat’s already outta the bag at Sunrise Taquito. You’ll find a hefty line on weekday mornings with a diverse audience eager to stroll out with a bag of breakfast tacos. I was particularly fond of the refried beans and egg version I had as well as the bacon and egg. The key to these tacos is the homemade tortillas that are made in-house. They’re on the thicker side and remind me of a pupusa only less«corny». Tacos are around $ 2 a pop so you won’t break the bank on this one. Green and red salsa is included.

I’m pretty sure everyone has a spot in Houston where they have the best breakfast tacos ever … Well this place has the«best breakfast tacos» near the galleria/memorial park area !!! On weekends there is always a line. But its worth the wait !!!

I was a bit disappointed. A taco for $ 2.09 is a great price but I don’t think I’ll be back. I had the Migas n chorizo but they lacked flavor. I think the verde sauce is a must to bring out the taste. I really love Torchies chorizo n eggs tacos and even though they are def pricey, I’ll stick to theirs for now.

Worst customer service! I asked for A to Quito with bacon and cheese only no egg… And she said no! I told her that I would pay for the egg but just ask them not to put it on and she said no it’s not on the menu. I repeated I will pay for the egg just tell them not to put any egg on there she still said no!!! Her name is Marcella and she is ruining your business! I will never ever return ever!!! Happy to spend my money where people treat me with respect. I hope you will do the same… if there was an option to give it zero stars I would but I had to put something so one star it is.

This little Taquito place is a nice place to stop in and get a quick breakfast or lunch. They prepared the tacos for me, in less than 10 mins and the little lady was nice but should smile a little more. They also basically cook the food right in front of you, so you can watch if you want! Best thing about this place is you can be pumping gas and run inside and get a quick meal before the pump stops!

Low rating certainly not because of the food; the breakfast tacos are amazing but standing there for 55 minutes waiting for 4 tacos. Sorry but no thanks.

The past few times I’ve been here, it’s been pretty sub par. I came around 9 am on a Saturday, and while the place was not packed, the wait for food took forever. I had a surprisingly long wait on a random weekday late morning as well. Last time, the cashier was writing down large order after large order(which was odd b/c she wasn’t on the phone) while asking for my order(which was small), and then put those orders before mine. That sucked. I definitely saw people who came in and ordered later get their orders sooner than I did, which was odd. The salsa is tasty, but the barbacoa was okay… kind of fatty. It had an off-putting smell and I couldn’t even finish it. The migas taco had big onion chunks, which really detracted from it. Torchy’s does a way better migas taco. Also, they used cheddar cheese instead of the tasty white cheese. Meh. Call in your order if you plan to try this place.

First of all I’m Hispanic. My wait was the same as everyone else. I didn’t get any special treatment. I called in before going and I still waited a few minutes. I can see if someone has a small order being out of there first. But anyways. The tacos were good and very hot. The ladies are nice and are never rude. By the way — to the previous Tiffany Unilocal review girl who was complaining about service. Who in the heck orders 8 tacos for 2 people.

Like others have said, it can be a wait for your tacos. I’m not sure that the Hispanic people are getting priority, but if you placed a larger order than people behind you who order one or two items, you will wait longer than they do; you should definitely call ahead. Conveniently located within walking distance. Staff was neither friendly nor rude to me. The breakfast tacos are huge! And they’re good. Two is enough for a normal person. I made the mistake of ordering 8 for me and my SO, and now we have 4 left. Anyone hungry?

Customer service is awful. The ladies there discriminate their customers. If you are a white girl in your 20s and not Hispanic, you will wait for 40 minutes and Hispanic men who ordered after you will get their breakfast way faster than you. I’m not going back, because I’m not American myself and the reason why I came to this country is to have equal opportunities and NOT be treated this way.

Memorial Park’s little hidden gem… I’ve been coming to Tequila Sunrise for a few years now, and I can always count on a couple of things, outstanding breakfast tacos and long lines during the weekend. This is a no nonsense and no frills kind of place. I always get my tacos with rice and cheese added inside(great way to gain all of the calories that I lost while running), and I load up on their hot sauce. I don’t know what it is, but it’s so tasty. Here’s a tip… there’s a $ 5 minimum to use your credit card, and I don’t think they take Amex. Definitely go after your run, you’ll thank me later for it.

Get here early! Took my sister here and explained how this place started off over off of 45N and West Road(now Brewingz), had another location on Bellaire near Gessner, and now this seems to be the only one left and it’s still good food! I recognize at least two old faces. LOVETHEBREAKFASTTACOS! Beef fajitas with papas and queso! And don’t forget the green suace! Yumm!
