Great fast place! Sushi comes out very quick. The service is good and they have all you need for yourself there! Also they have free soft serve ice cream! I really liked the cream cheese puffs. I tried the sushirito crab duo. It was decent but I did not like the greens that came with it. I felt like I was eating a salad with sushi. But I’m sure everyone has their own tastes. This is an awesome place to try they have different rolls and sides.

We went here for a snack on a Saturday afternoon. Place was not busy. My son ordered the beef udon soup and I wasn’t in the mood for much of anything so I just got the fish sandwich. The description of the fish did sound good(filet in tempura and fried) so I figured it was a safe bet. I’ve definitely had better fish sandwiches. The fish filet broke apart and that made for a messy lunch. I’m surprised the tempura did not hold the fish together. The bread should have been thoroughly toasted as it was the bread type that sticks to the roof of your mouth after you bite into it. Condiments was not appealing and the overall taste was bland. I put a little bit of the spicy sauce on the sandwich but by that time, it had broken apart. I suppose my expectations should have been set low since their main specialty is sushi, but I also find it hard to accept that they can mess up a simple sandwich. I tasted my son’s soup and that was adequate but nowhere near memorable. At least we tried this once.

I would like to say that my sushi was very fresh. The service was fast too. Unfortunately, my tiger eye and Fisherman sushi were way too spicy OMG!

Ordered the«build your own» roll & paid the extra for them to put soft shell crab in it… Get home and opened my order, NOSOFTSHELLCRAB. FAIL!

I’ve been here a couple of times, but finally decided to write review. The place is hip and small. You order first, get a number and they’ll bring you your order. I’ve always had the poke bowls. Comes with rice, avocado, cucumber, sprouts and type of fish you choose. I always get salmon!

This was a tasty treat. The service is fast and friendly. You’ll be content at the wide variety of menu options… it’s not just sushi! We ordered a Shaggy Dog and a Shrimp Tempura Udon bowl. The Udon was in a rich miso broth with very fresh veggies. The prices are very reasonable with the added treat of free vanilla ice cream!

The miso ginger salad and the Shaggy dog roll were spot on. Clean, fast and friendly. I got my order to go and I loved it. Will be back. ;)

It’s great for what it is, meaning it’s not going to be to the level of Uchi or Kata Robata, but its always tasted fresh. I love the idea of building your own roll. My favorite thing to get there though is the spicy tuna bowl and my bf always gets the kobe beef burger, which I have to say is really delicious. It’s juicy and fresh. I was surprised considering it’s a sushi place.

We’ve been coming here pretty much since it opened. This has been a great place to bring the family where the parents can get their sushi/noodle favorites, and the kids can slurp down udon noodles and fruit bowls.(The kids menu isn’t all that great for kids under 6 — chicken fingers that are huge and tough don’t work for that age.) Unfortunately, it seems they have changed management, after noticing some recent changes like different plates and no longer offering cones with their soft serve(just bowls). What will affect us the most is they are no longer selling a fruit bowl side item(though still on the menu), and this is pretty much the only kid-friendly side item that isn’t a starch or a salad(please tell me how you get your littles to eat a ginger salad). It seems we will need to find a new go-to for impromptu meals out with the kids. Oh well.

First time here with my family and I must say, the name of the place caught my attention. It’s casual fast food, so no one is serving you besides the people who takes your order at the front and people who just brings you your order. When you walk in, there’s a big menu for you to see before you decide to order. They have the usual miso soup, salad, hand rolls, traditional rolls, sashimi, bento boxes, etc. What’s really cool was the«make-your-own» roll speciality. After my family knew what we wanted, we walked to the front of the line and we were greeted by a low-voiced cashier. That was a big one-star rating at that point. My mom paid a little over $ 50 for a group of 4… Two bento boxes and two rolls, served with salad and soup. Once we got our orders, I couldn’t believe it. I’m used to the traditional bento boxes and what comes with it. I ordered the«high roller» and it’s only served with three hand rolls. What is that?!? What a waste of $ 12.50! I won’t even bother writing about my family’s orders. My family and I won’t be coming here again. Not worth it. We rather go to Bellaire(China Town) for some bomb-ass sushi AND at a very cheap price.

First of all, the name is weird, very weird to me. I don’t know who came up with this name and how long it took them/he/she thought about but it does not sound good!!! This was the reason that kept me from exploring this place at the beginning. Is it a Pop & Mom sushi restaurant or is it a hybrid restaurant(with a sushi literally pop out) when eating? Some of you might think these are also weird thoughts, but hey, I told the truth. Hope this contribute to the owner the next time they decided to name anything else with Pop. The food is average and the price is acceptable. I tried 2 rolls(forgot the name) and they were as expected. I also love their chicken and eel bowl(with rice), the bowl includes plenty of vegetable with good portion of rice. Not to mention you can eat FREE ice cream, can you believe that? FREE ice cream. They only have 2 flavors: vanilla and chocolate as always, the ice cream, of course, is not a wow factor but hey, it’s FREE, so no complaint. They will be packed at lunch time so beware. Call in advance. The store and restroom are clean and nice. Will come back for more.

After passing this place for quite a while on my lunch break, I found myself in a sushi mood today and figured I’d give it a whirl. I mean I’ve eaten plenty of cheap sushi and I’m still here, so why not. First thing I noticed, a sign out front basically begging people to try the place. It was pretty close to empty. That should have been a sign. Ordered the high roller box and a drink. With a tip, I’m at $ 17, which means now I’m in the realm of a lunch special at a real sushi place. No matter, lets see how it is. I’ve never had so much trouble tearing through the seaweed wrap with my teeth in my life. The rice tasted like rice, but didn’t seem to stick together like sushi rice should. The spicy tuna was decent enough, but the softshell crab and tempura shrimp were barely passable. The whole time I thought about what else I could have spent that much for lunch on and been far more satisfied. Guess I should have kept on driving by.

Want sushi for a low price at a place where you can take your kids and not go totally insane? This is your jam. The sushi isn’t the fanciest or best in town, but it’s tasty and fresh and they’re always very friendly. Added bonus: free soft serve! TL;DR: take yo kids. Eat some sushi. Don’t go insane.

Came for lunch and was excited to try this place out. Menu is really extensive almost too overwhelming for a sushi lunch spot. I ordered a roll don’t remember the name and a salad. Salad was good but some of my lettuce was wilting which is a huge pet peeve of mine. My roll-was good as well but not mind blowing. I have come to realize that Sushi I love is usually from really high end places and maybe I should stick to that. Anyone who can find me a inexpensive sushi spot for lunch that is the truth I’m so down. One great thing is that they have free soft serve, love things like that…

Some of the food was a little pricy. But seems like they have a lot of great specials and deals. Modern looking and very clean. Sushi wasn’t the best I’ve had but it wasn’t terrible. They could offer you more pieces because I only had 5 for about 10 dollars. Not sure if it was really worth it. They did have free soft serve ice cream next to the soda fountain. That was a nice touch. Definitely feels more like a fast food place. You order at a register and they give you a number. They bring your food out quickly.

Pretty good. Came here on a Monday when they have that deal where you get a gift card for the amount you spent. This is without tax btw. Got the tuna on fire, big Texas, slap yourself and crab duo wrap. First, the rolls felt a bit small. Tuna on fire was prob my favorite and, of course, neither of the spicy rolls were spicy. It’s okay though, my tolerance is high for spice. Both slap yourself and tuna on fire were really similar, just a different fish topped on it. Big Texas had soft shell crab in it. I preferred the tuna and slap yourself The wrap was smaller than expected too. Seemed like it had only veggies compared to the other photos I’ve seen. It broke apart easily The place is not bad, id come back again. No need to deal with servers and very casual place. You serve yourself by getting own silverware, plates, drinks and you get free ice cream! It was a bit too soft though

Interesting concept, bad execution. The idea of a sushi burrito really intrigued me. I like the informal, on the go, sushi idea. It sets your standards a bit lower, but you still know you’re going to get your sushi craving taken care of. I had the spicy salmon wrap a la carte. The fish was ok and the roll fell apart easily making it difficult to enjoy. My brother had the wrap version of a dragon roll and a friend of mine had the ahi tuna wrap and they were both not impressed. Pricing is about $ 10 per person and the service is so so. Final verdict: I won’t be coming back. I give them two stars for being inventive and different.
