Food is usually pretty tasty. Love being able to go thru drive thru. Yesterday, I went & ordered fajita tacos, chili con queso, etc. Well, I ordered a large chili con queso & a personal size bean & both didn’t even come to middle of the bowl. So, what exactly was I paying for?

Love TC but hate this location. They are about 1 – 9 getting your order right, they are always slow and I think most of the problem is that none of them speak English! The place is always dirty up front and in the kitchen. Luckily my office is relocating so I will never have to visit TC shithole again. TC clean house at this location get new management and a new staff, I know this location is hood but your employees don’t have to be.

This particular Taco Cabana surprised me. It was late and me and the wife were hungry after the movie well me to be exact. I needed a street taco fix and wasn’t too thrilled about standing outside in the Fuqua Hood because there are a Taco Trucks to choose from round here. Taco Cabana is usually slow with the food coming out, here it came out in about 6 mins! The food was hot and fresh. Of course I manage a food establishment so I am looking for inefficiency amongst the employees. I did notice a girl playing on her cell phone in the kitchen, I gave her the what the hell are you doing look and she hid in the kitchen. I was able to use a coupon for this meal and it consisted of buy your choice of 6 plates and get the next one for a buck. Two plates only set me back $ 8.65 with this promo. I love it, when you don’t have to spend a fortune to eat in some instances it’s ok but never in a chain restaurant I refuse to. My plate consisted of 3 steak tacos wrapped in 2 corn tortillas with a side of refried beans and Mexican style rice. Everything was flavorful! I might add that they have a happy hour M-F from 2 – 4 or 5 and you can get a personal bean and cheese nachos with a beer or margarita for 4 bucks that’s a steal! So skip the border down the street and come here and you shouldn’t be disappointed.

The food is great, but inside with only one other guest seated there was trash on every table. Food service wasn’t to speedy either. But Open Late and The Food Is Still Good & Cheap.

The food at any Taco Cabana is delicious, unless you come to this one. The young girls who work here are rude and are constantly on their phones. When they have to correct your order because they messed it up, they get mad. Two girls looked at me and walked off when I went inside to get something corrected. The past 3 visits to this location have been absolutely awful.

Worst service I had ever had and it turns out the lady who was(NOT) helping me was the manager! I was placing my order via the drive through. Ordered 2 menu combo’s in which she couldn’t understand«kids meal». After we sorted that out I attempted to order a cheese enchilada plate with a side of fajita meat. This is an order I have placed multiple times, and multiple Taco Cabanas with no issue. However… For some reason the lady(Who was a Manager) said she«cant do that». I asked if she could just upcharge me for the side of fajita, the response was«I aint doin that» I asked, «You cant or you arn’t?» She said, «Whats it matter!». I told her to cancel the order because she was just being stupid and backed out of the drive through. Once on fuqua I called the store to ask for a manager to complain and low and behold it was the same lady who said she did not care and to stop pestering her. Needless to say My family is never going back to this Taco Cabana. There are too many restaurants fast food or other to choose from to receive such bad service, especially from a manager!

I had been to this Taco Cabana location twice, once with a friend and another time with my dad and sister. The food was overall tasty, but the atmosphere was the building needed some work. The condiment table was very messy, and needed fresh herbs or so. I got the deal for under $ 5, the chicken bowl. The bowl was lightly brushed with butter, and had a very crispy taste to it. The chicken was well seasoned, and I loved how they added a big gulp of sour cream on top of it. I really wanted to eat on the outside, but the smell of smoke, and cold weather didn’t excite me one bit, so I chose to sit on the inside where the room was packed with families. We sat down next to a couple who was noisy, the husband seemed like he was arguing really loudly to the other person on the phone and the wife was eye-balling me to see what my dad was talking to me about. I thought that was kinda rude, and non of her business.

I’ve learned that the best time to go here is when it gets crowded for dinner on Sundays. Any other days during the late nights, you will get the crappiest service. I’m not asking for 5 star service, but the old ladies that work behind the counter in the late evenings really needs an attitude adjustment. One has excessive makeup on, which is a health control issue in the food department. She glares at you upon entering the establishment, doesn’t ask you what you want, you approach the counter with a friendly smile to say hi and she doesn’t answer back. So you decide to just start ordering. When you finish ordering, she gives you the total, doesn’t read back your order and continues to glare. Don’t expect a thank you. You proceed to sit down and your order never gets called, even though on other times you go, it gets called. It’s time to walk to the counter to inquire. You inquire and she’s standing there with 5 other members of her staff and looks at you like, «what do you think you’re doing in my restaurant?» It makes you very hesitant to even want to ask for a refund. You finally get your order and walk out., with the feeling that those hateful eyes are burning at the back of your head…

I wanted this to be a healthy(ish) option to grab a quick lunch, because it’s right by my office and… uh… FAJITATACOS. But then I discovered most of their chicken items have MSG in them, and that equals migraines. For those that don’t mind that, it is a clean restaurant with fairly efficient service, as is standard for the chain.

This is my favorite quick fix place. The food is inexpensive. The service is fast and your tummy is full in no time. Make sure you have the queso otherwise why bother. I would give it five stars but the tables are always trashed out when I come here. Just a little help and it would get the five stars it deserves.

Not as good as the reviews make it seem. Def better than some fake mexican restaurants, but once again it is a fake mexican restaurant.

This is a pretty good Taco Cabana location. The food here is par for the course as far as Taco Cabanas go; good, tasty, quick, and filling. The salsa bar hasn’t been as well maintained as others I’ve been to, though, and the service has been a little slower(although I may have just been during peak times, I dunno). It’s still good, though, and if you’re on that side of town, an excellent choice. I mean, where else are you going to go? Golden Corral? CiCi’s? Come on.

this is my usual Taco Cabana location. Their happy hour is really good and youcant beat 2 dollasr Dos Equis!(well i guess if they were one dollar then that would beat it but thats just wishful thinking haha!) but yeah its a really nice place especially late at night on the way home… the inside is always clean and ive never seen a cleaner condiment bar. I hate when there salsa mixed in with the sour cream and what have you so this place keeps everything really nice!

Why would anyone in their right minds be eating Mexican fast food when there are a ton of excellent Mexican choices in the Houston area? Simple, those restaurants aren’t open at 3AM and even if they are, the food doesn’t come as fast as they do here at Taco Cabana. I will admit, I’ve never seen or had Taco Cabana prior to this experience but I can say one thing: This place blows Taco Bell out of the water. That isn’t saying much of course but it speaks volumes in the fast food world. And in the drunkard hungry eats world, the food speaks immeasurable volumes. My absolute, hands down favorite were the chicken taco was savory and unbelievably delicious. The crisp of the taco shell had the perfect snap complemented with juicy chunks of tender chicken and a tinge of spicy hot sauce. Though I am not a fan of chips and cheese dip, these ones were surprisingly edible. While the Quesadilla appeared flat and dry, the cheesiness made up for it. Other honorable mentions include their fish tacos and breakfast burritos, both juicy and cheesy. The drive thru seems slow, even for a place that is so popular at night. I suppose that means the food is semi-fresh? I suppose fresh fast food could be somewhat of an oxymoron, but if the wait becomes too much feel reassured there are plenty of Taco Cabanas in the vicinity.
