This place is okay the service is a bit unorganized :/the taco here have good flavor well the meat but the toppings that go along with the taco are bad :/I do recommend the tatotot nachos that’s the only thing that has a good blend of veg sauce and meat

Had the tacos de barbaqua and tacos al pastor and they were good. I would have totally give this place 5 stars of the al pastor wasn’t so sweet. Not real authentic Mexican but pretty damn close. Will I be back? Hell yeah!

Solid tacos for a decent price! I really like their«Diablo» sauce. It is their hottest sauce but it’s more of a flavorful punch than extreme heat. I really enjoyed their regular grilled beef tacos and grilled shrimp tacos. They have a lot of open seating inside and a pretty good size patio outside in the front and back! You can bring your dog with you! Not a bad place to stop for a quick meal on a budget!

Very welcoming and the tacos are delicious… we go at least twice a week. Highly recommend. Great and simple atmosphere and it also has a patio.

I was a little disappointed they got rid of their crispy taco shell. They have what is called a «puff». I drove all the way from Spring with the taste for their crispy tacos but it was a no-no. So I settle for a flour tortilla, just wasn’t the same.

Favorite taco spot in Houston for a tasty quick bite. The feta shrimp tacos always hit the spot!

I find it better than the location in downtown. Easy parking & it’s better to locate the place. We ordered the chips and white cheese; it was delish, though it was a bit runny. It had a consistency of a soup. Then my boyfriend ordered el pastor and pork guisado– which was really good but a bit oily. I ordered the barbacoa and grilled beef– I really like the flavors in it! All in all– everything is tasty. We will definitely be back again!

My friends are I enjoy this place a whole lot. The shrimp tacos are worth it with a nice cold beer! The atmosphere here is down to earth and always a good place to hang out, eat great food and socialize.

Tacos A Go Go embodies ambiance, value and variety. The polished urban decay aesthetic is consistent at both locations. The Heights location has more seating outside. Since this is in a historic(by Houston standards) neighborhood, parking is not abundant. There is a covered, one level, 15ish space parking«garage» next door that costs $ 7. I have visited late nights on the weekend, and this location only had 5 or less customers. The verde tacos are loaded down enough to make another taco from what you can’t gracefully voraciously consume, and three additional tortillas are less than a dollar. The sauce that it comes with is mayonaise based as well as their other sauces which contributes to the less than 5 star rating. If you order guacamole, you might want to grab a few lime wedges and salt from the condiment/drink station to add more bite.

They put in way to much egg into each taco. It was so much that it felt more like a burrito. I specifically said light beans and they put in a ¼ pound of beans into each taco. It was so much that I had to scoop it out. Breakfast tacos were just ok. But in my opinion; Laredo Taqueria has better tortillas, taste and are priced better.

YUM. the pork belly tacos were a little on the greasy(not in a good way) side, but other than that this place was fantastic. definitely recommend.

This is Houston, finding a good breakfast taco is like finding a great pizza slice in New York. What makes this place stand out is the abundant amount of eggs piled into the taco. They aren’t stingy with their eggs like other places. I also love pouring the Diablo sauce all over my breakfast tacos. If only they started making their own tortillas this place would be absolutely perfect. I don’t even mind paying a bit more if they did.

After my last few visits to Tacos a Go-Go, I have to bump my rating up to five stars from my original rating of four. I honestly can’t think of a single negative thing to say about this place. My wife is vegan, and I’m a vegetarian(but I eat a mostly vegan diet). I always go for the create-your-own breakfast tacos(available any time of day or night). I like potatoes, black bean, and cheese on corn tortillas. I’ll get two of them if I’m smart, but I’ll usually overdo it and get three. My wife gets the verde veggie tacos. Then we get an order of chips and guacamole. It’s a very filling meal that’s dirt cheap. But don’t let the low price fool you. This is top-notch food made from scratch with super fresh ingredients, and it always comes to your table super fast. The staff are always super nice, they keep the place super clean(even when very busy), and the food is consistently great. They have a great selection of self-serve salsas. All are good, but I’m really loving the Diablo salsa. Properly spicy stuff that tasted great, and should satisfy any aficionado of super spicy things. I drown my tacos in the stuff, and top them off with a dollop of guacamole. There’s nothing pretentious about the food. Just good, simple tacos made to order from super fresh ingredients. I can make my own salsa, guacamole, and black bean/potato/cheese tacos at home(and I’m no slouch in the kitchen), but I couldn’t do it as well as the staff at Tacos a Go-Go. Most importantly, for my vegan wife and my vegetarian self, there are maybe two or three places in inner-loop Houston we can both go for good Mexican food. Tacos a Go-Go isn’t just my favorite place for brunch in the heights anymore, it’s my favorite place for Mexican food in Houston.

Tacos! What can I say other than I love them. I will begin by saying that my official mexican rating on the tacos is a 2 star at best. I had a couple of issues with the fact that they only really offer guisados. I hate guisados, I dont eat my mothers and I definitely will not try these. They list tacos as Pastor tacos and I was having problems ordering them by not saying Al Pastor… its a mexican thing I guess. Also, the pastor tacos were too wet for me. They are not supposed to be wet! Also, they definitely need work on the salsas and the taco garnish. However, besides the mexican rating, by american standards I give this place a 4 star. I really loved dining at this place! Although the tacos were not too authentic they actually tasted great. I tried the beef, chicken, and pastor. All were yummy. I mean I don’t have to have authentic all the time. They are very tex-mex tacos. I really love the restaurants concept, finally a place I can actually eat a decent taco without fearing to be attacked or eating over the hood at my car. No taco trailers for me, for awhile. Overall, you should definitely try this place!

Wanted to try out a new breakfast taco place. Pro — portions are really generous! That part was great. But the tortillas were just normal, nothing special. David’s bacon/cheese/egg tacos were alright as well, he was sad with the tiny amount of bacon. He got the breakfast plate. Beans were good, but the potatoes were cold. That’s pretty much all we got so this review is really just for breakfast.

I really wanted to love you and I really wanted our relationship to last awhile, but you keep pissing me off when you don’t listen and give me what I want. Seriously, why ask which type of tortilla I want if I’ll just be given flour?! This never fail to happen –it’s almost amazing. But yes, breakfast tacos and beef fajitas with avocado sauce were bomb when you do get it right. I just don’t have time for mistakes during my short lunch breaks :/my journey here is over.

Just ok. Had an early dinner here on a Saturday. It’s a really good thing that only one pair was in front of us to order, because the cashier talks so much and tries to sell everyone a margarita that he took forever! He’s super friendly but incredibly inefficient. I asked him to not let me order anything spicy and explained I don’t like spicy at all. The chicken guisado taco I ordered was good but really juicy and dripped everywhere. The Pork el pastor was spicy. I asked my husband to try it and he agreed that it was just a little spicy, it was quite spicy. I went ahead and ordered another chicken and told the cashier that the pork el pastor was spicy and he went on at length about how it’s just like bbq. Whatever… several people thought it was spicy. My husband found the barbacoa to be chewy and not easy to eat. We both liked the chips and queso we ordered. Our friends seemed to enjoy their tacos but the fish tacos were really wet and juicy like ours. They were swimming in water. One friend had to wait far too long for her tacos. She ordered and her food didn’t come until she went and asked after we had all finished. Slow service, overly chatty cashier, too much liquid on the tacos, and spicy when requested not spicy… this place was ok but not a place I’d hurry back to.
