My co. worker gave me a shrimp taco. The tortilla was awesome and it had broccoli and carrots. I need to get up early to come here. I have never seen 6 to 7 large shrimp in a taco which cost less than $ 3. I will be back. Green sauce. Awesome.

This place is legit Mexican and reminded me of allot of no-nonsense counter service joints I frequented in Mexico for tacos asados — just cleaner and more efficient. Most of the proteins are braised or stewed and kept in hot plates ready to be stuffed in a taco, gordita(massive!) or quesadilla. The señora making my gordita forgot that I ordered chicken and started stuffing it with beef, so when I reminded her she just finished it up with chicken — since I indicated that I was fine either way. That is the essence of the place no frills and casual to a fault, but great value and tasty food. ¡La esencia de mis paisanos! BTW: what you’ve read in other reviews about the parking lot is true, so come during off hours. Otherwise remember that old adage: When in Rome, so as the Chilangos do.

Very unprofessional, non helpful. I tried to place an order to go by calling… first the phone got hung up a couple times. when I finally got a hold of someone he said and I quote«we are too busy to take togo orders»…

I work in the area so this is a convenient spot, however, it is usually very busy for breakfast which is what I usually will stop for. The parking is always a problem because it is next to a gas station. The only thing I can’t complain about are the freshly made tortillas both flour and corn. So if you are in the area and hungry their breakfast tacos are pretty good.

Absolutely awesome breakfast tacos, and the rest of the spread looked amazing — will probably be back here for lunch. Note that this is not the Midtown-grade place most Unilocalers seem to adore — no good ambiance, little English, and yes, the meat will have some bones. If an authentic experience is too uncomfortable for you, don’t bother. If you can get past that(won’t be hard, they’re very friendly), your taste buds will thank you for the fresh-made tortillas and great quality of food. Oh, and it’s served very quickly for a very reasonable price!

Aside from the fresh tortillas, food was average. Went for lunch and had the chicken with chipotle sauce and barbacoa. Chicken still had a lot of bones in it, and out of all the barbacoa served. Itwas covered in nothing but fat, barely enough for half a taco.

Been here twice for lunch and it is AMAZINGGGGG. Seriously just go. Everything is good and flavorful. Lunch plate is like 6.99…very decent for 2 meats, 2 sides, and 5 tortillas. LOVEIT

I’ve never eaten lunch or anything here, but I always eat their breakfast tacos. Ahh, so good! If you buy 3, I believe it’s $ 2.99. What a good deal! And they never give you the same ones. One of the best places for breakfast tacos in my opinion. I’ll update this when I go and eat lunch or dinner.
