Quick service, delicious Huevos Rancheros and my husband got made to order breakfast tacos. Great prices too!

I ordered 2 tortas and 1 burrito, it was awful, no flavor and very dry. It tasted like the food was old and not fresh. I would give it 0 stars if that were an option. Even the salsa tasted like it was about to expire, please do yourself a favor and don’t waste your time & money!!! Porfavor no pierde su tiempo y dinero, sabor feo, no Saber bueno, no savor y bien reseco, no esta fresco, esta recalentada, y tambien la salsa no estaba buena.

Breaking up my usual, the #9, and trying the fish tacos. Pretty good. Fish was grilled, not fried. It could have used a sauce that added brightness and zing. I would order again, though.

There was a piece of plastic(see photo) inside the food and after showing it the manager(Pablo Garza), he did not apologize on behalf of the establishment. Instead, he said that if I expected a refund or anything else that I should not even ask. I told him that is no way to treat customers and he said he did not care. I will never go back to any of these establishments again.

Love this place! Authentic homemade Mexican food. Great service and each time I’ve come here the food is superb. Love the enchiladas. The salsas are epic and hot chips are amazing. Don’t get me started on the prices. Cheap! Overall good stuff!

Service is horrible here! Food is good but the services is what also counts. Having bad service can ruin someone’s appetite. We got seated, then the waiter came to the table, we ordered our drinks and our food at the same time. Our food came out before our drinks did smdh. The young lady look lost and didn’t know what the hell she was doing. She just got on my nerves period! Didn’t bring us straws or napkins. Had to ask another waitress for these things.

My sister in law took me and my wife to this restaurant before we left Houston. We are originally from El Paso Texas where Mexican restaurants are just a stone throw away. Well my sister in law took us here to get menudo, but when we got there, she said ask them to put posole in it because they serve it differently in Houston. I decided I didn’t want to take that so I got the Torta Mexicana, which was scrambled eggs, chorizo, ham and Mexican cheese. I couldn’t remember what type of chees it was so I called it Mexican chees, lol. Well, anyway, me nor my wife were impressed. We said we could have made something better in our kitchen. Not impressed at all =+\

This place is an absolute joke. From tap water to water sauce«salsa» to overcooked old chicken probably from yesterday that they microwaved. The waitress was extremely rude and gave us a lot of attitude when we asked for the check. This was a terrible experience. I absolutely do not recommend you go here.

The fajita quesadillas, the california burrito, and just about everything on the menu is great. Being lactose intolerant sucks, but the quesadillas are worth the stomach pains! The green and red salsa are some of the best around!

The 5 Taquitos plate is the bomb! Plus the green sauce they serve with chips is spicy and delicious! One of my favorite MexMex places in Houston!

I really like it here. First went here with some coworkers. First off, the waiters are reallllly friendly. Its ok if you dont speak Espanol– they do speak English. I love how the menu has pictures– makes it easier to decide on what I want. The fish tacos are grilled and are soooo yummy. It comes with 3 fish tacos but i got full after the second one. Lotsa food! I also like the chicken taco with alvocado and mango i think. And of course, who can say no to the free chips and 3 types of salsa. Perfect for lunch

Ok. Have to admit, I go here on occasion for taco Tuesdays(tacos for $ 1). Though by adding cheese to the meal makes it come out to about two dollars per taco when I pay the bill. The tacos are good and the green(avocado?) sauce is a must accessory. The service is friendly though there is sometimes a language barrier. The place seriously needs to be cleaned up and the Mexican day time television is so bad it is almost comical on a different level. I would give the tacos three stars, but the ‘ambiance’ cost them one for the overall… One thing I found interesting is that this location does not serve hard corn taco shells as other locations do… Not sure why, just fyi…

Many, many, MANY! Years ago it was a good place to eat. Now the food is of very poor quality, no flavor at all! If you have no idea what Mexican food taste like… This will be a great place for you to eat.

I was looking for the regular food. You know. Tex Mex, regular. Well, I was delightfully surprised at how seasoned the food was! It was great! The customer service was ok. But I would go back there again. I really really liked the food.

I stopped here to eat after my friend was unsuccessful in looking for Wings and more on South 45. We ordered margaritas, shrimps diablo, and chicken enchilada. The waitress asked me for my ID after she brought out the drinks. It was odd since most places would ask for ID before drinks. I felt kinda flattered. She must have thought that I looked really under age, which is always a plus. The margaritas were huge, fish-tank size, but not strong. They tasted like strawberry Icee and gave me brain freeze. The chips and salsa were ok. I did not really care much for them. However, entrees were phenomenal. My shrimp diablo was hot and delicious. The sauce was killer but kept me eating more. I ended up sweating so much. My friend’s enchilada was also very good and spicy. Overall, I would come back here for the food and definitely will pass the drinks.

I have never have their food other than the dollar taco Tuesdays, but I want this to change. Their street tacos are about the equivalence to an actual taco truck – amazing flavor that doesn’t hold back on calories. I usually order my two tacos with chicken and pico di gallo and nothing else(well of course salsa and lime). They usually do a double take and seem surprised I don’t want lettuce and tomato. No… if I wanted that I would have gone to Taco Bell. Well, they were adamant because my friend ordered his with beef and cilantro and onion. We got back to work and low and behold, it was wrong. They put lettuce and tomato on it. Granted, they got my boss’ order correct(nachos supreme with no tomato). Ambiance? There isn’t any honestly. Reminds me of a cafeteria but man the food is so much better! Did I mention it’s cheap? Hallelujah for college students down the road at UH.

Mmmm. My dad has a childhood friend who would describe any big meal purchased for pocket change as a «feeding frenzy», and one of his favorite places to have a «feeding frenzy» is at Taqueria Arandas. You can eat well for well under $ 10, and it’s definitely worth making the short trip down I-45 to the East End. I’ve been here twice, and one time was for a late breakfast. I didn’t heed my boyfriend’s warning that the mighty mountain of eggs and potatoes I was about to receive was going to be insurmountable, and I ordered a flan for dessert. By the time the flan came through, I was deep in a food coma. Coming to Taqueria Arandas requires a recalibration of what you think ten bucks will buy you, because $ 6 of food is much more than you’d normally get at a Tex-Mex restaurant that usually appeals to gringos. Yesterday I stopped here with the boyf for a quick bite at dinner. I scanned the menu and decided on one chicken breast taco($ 1.49), a side of rice($ 1.49) and a small chile con queso($ 2.49). See what I mean about eating CHEAP?! I received my taco in a corn tortilla and pretty much destroyed it instantaneously. The chicken breast was grilled to perfection and completely delicious, although I was so hungry I pretty much inhaled it. The chile con queso was your standard Velveeta-esque fare, but the rice was really interesting. Instead of the orange color that most rice comes looking out of the kitchen, it was a bright yellow with corn, peas and carrots mixed in. Not anything terribly exciting, but definitely different from what’s usually served up in Mexican restaurants. The chips have obviously been fried in the back because they come out hot, and there are two varieties of salsa. The red sauce is super fresh – just tomatoes, cilantro and jalapenos pureed together – and the green sauce is tomatillo-based. The interior isn’t anything to write home about – there are booths and tables, and a jukebox stocked with Tejano music which occasionally blares out, whenever someone chooses to play a song. TV’s are tuned to Sabado Gigante, which some people were watching with intense interest. They won’t run a credit card transaction for anything under $ 7, so you may want to bring cash. Service is hit-or-miss but the food is so freakin’ cheap as to make that point moot. Yo quiero Taqueria Arandas!

The service is great and the waiters/waitresses are really friendly. The food is very appetizing. Arandas has good variety and quantity in the menu, so you may have a problem if you’re one of those who really can’t chose between many things that seem appetizing. The overall atmosphere is revitalizing after a hard day of work. The walls and tables are colorful, there’s a jukebox, an HDTV hung on the wall, and plenty of windows to break the encompassed vibe some restaurants tend to have. One of my favorite feats is the fact that they’re open late on weekends. You don’t see much of that about restaurants everyday. It’s a nice place to take family, friends, or bring a few people from an overwhelming party at night.

Looking for a place with just genuine food like your abuela made? Don’t care about ambiance? Want some great people watching? This is the place. They serve TexMex, but also traditional favorites like menudo(tripe soup) and lengua tacos. The people watching(especially late night) is unparalleled. Where else can you see a family of five in a booth next to several gang members next to a table of police officers?
