I have been here for the past few years with my pirate trainer Chris Courtright and haven’t regretted it at all. He has come up with challenging workouts and I haven’t repeated a single workout since starting with him!!! He also works around your injuries and schedule to maximize workouts. The other trainers here are helpful and nice as well.

Yes. Just… yes. I just had my first session with Byron at Basics and it was awesome. The gym is small but very well equipped. Byron does a great job of walking you through the workouts and motivating you. He will push you when you need it, he will back off when you need a breather. He’s fantastic. I recommend him to anyone looking to get better, faster, stronger, leaner.

BASICS Training Studio recently opened right off I10. They have a large facility with 3 treadmills, 2 stationary bikes, a brand new rowing machine, 3 punching bags, 2 monster truck tires(for squat flips), plenty of dumbbells and kettle bells in sizes up to 70lbs, plenty of benches and stationary machines including assisted pull-up/dip, leg extension, lat pull-down. the list is quite comprehensive. You can join for a nominal monthly fee and come whenever you like and train however you like. Or you can hook up with any of their awesome trainers. They have both male and female trainers who will get you to your goals. If you want a quite trainer, check, got it. If you want someone yelling in your face, check, got it. These guys aren’t like the corporate places where you walk from machine to machine; these guys get personally involved in your training to help you get to your goals. Ask for Jackie and tell her The Beast sent you.
