The Beacon is a day center that provides food, shower, laundry service and legal council. Located at the Christ Cathedral Church this place is open 7 days a week.
I did some volunteer work for a class here the other weekend.
Growing up as a volunteer I have been in many environments and think that The Beacon is def. on the high end of it!
They were very respectful and the place was pretty darn clean.
All are welcome and there is room for the family. Not that I think many people utilizing their services will be reading this post but if you are looking for a place that is easy to volunteer at def. check this place out.
There is no long term commitment, you can sign up online and schedule yourself too!
