I went into this locations paint section to select some colors for my apartment. There was a very helpful girl at the counter who gave me a sample of a navy blue color I was concerned about being too light. But unfortunately a younger man named Patrick(I think I heard a coworker call him that) was not so friendly. When I asked him to give me a sample of a gray color he refused. He told me it would cost money(not sure if he meant it would cost me money or the store money) but either way he opted not to allow me to see a sample and insisted that the color on the swatch was going to match perfectly to what I expected. I mean, maybe he was trained to say that and maybe that is true, maybe he acted as it he was annoyed that a customer who knew nothing about paint was asking him so many questions. I mentioned up front that I was unaware of the specifics of paint(oil vs water based, satin vs matte) but it gave me the impression that he was unhappy to help me. It’s too bad because I am totally out of my comfort zone when going into a home improvement store like HD, and I expect to have the staff be trained enough to guide me in the direction I am hoping for. So to Patrick at the painting department at this location who was working on Tuesday, February 8th — thank you for making me feel so uncomfortable at your store that I will from now choose Lowes over Home Depot. I only wish your supervised will see this and you can make a better impression on the next customer to make up for your mistake with me.

I am a little split. I did encounter a cashier that probably was just fed up with her shift. Took as long to check out one customer, with few items and no issues, than it took the only other cashier to check out 5 customers. Yes we moved lines. And the helpful cashier also was upbeat and knowledgeable! She was so helpful about the warranty on the product we purchased. I missed the email portion so that I could get the email sent to me so unfortunately I had to go to the customer service desk for refund and re-ring but the cashier was super helpful. She had first insisted that she could print me a duplicate receipt if that would help me at all. She then called over to the customer service desk and told them I was on my way and explained the situation for me. Wow. What service. The service desk was very helpful and cordial. They resolved my problem and I was out of there in no time. I don’t often come to this Home Depot was quite surprised with the level of service I received.

They have met all my needs and are so friendly. My 2 greatest joys in a business. Good customer service and product knowledge. I have never been let down by this Home Depot. And now that I have a credit card for them I will be doing alot more things around the house. Thanks for being good at your job.

This Home Depot has to be one of the worst ones in Houston. I called them just to ask if they offered warranty on a product and their electrical department couldn’t even answer the phone. They even called someone from the electrical department and still couldn’t pick up the phone, I waited at least 15 minutes for someone to pick up. If it’s this bad over the phone, trust me it’s only worse in person. Home Depot should do themselves a favor and close this location as soon as possible, they’re just making themselves look horrible with the personnel they have at his store.

Went back to this home depot to buy one last ceiling fan(it was the only one in the area that the website says had them in stock). I get there and they check inventory, which says they have 15, and they tell me they’re out. The«look» around on the tops of shelves but can’t find anything. After sitting around for 40 mins with nothing I decide to look for myself thinking that there were 17 on a pallet when I was here a week ago, and now there are 15(after I bought two) so they must be here. After five minutes of looking on the top shelves where the pallets are, I found the fan. It took another 30 mins to get it though because the truck that pulls items off the top rack had a dead battery. I’m not going back here if I can help it. And for the life of me I don’t understand why they didn’t unload the fans off of the pallet after my first purchase, there was lots of shelf room for them.

I’m not surprised that I’m the first person to review this store ;P It’s sort-of your average Home Depot store with a Mexican-American twist to it. Weird. There aren’t even any«American» snacks like Snickers or Starburst at the cash registers… there are only Mexican candies and drinks. Not that I mind, I just find it odd. I went here to purchase plywood and have it cut. I gave the employee in the Lumber Department by cutting specifications. When I got home, they were all different lengths. Also, the cashier(woman) that serviced me didn’t even say anything. She even pointed to the price and didn’t voice it! I am certain she wasn’t mute because I heard her talking when I went to this store. Not sure if I’ll go here again. If I do, I’ll have to be very picky and demanding, which will make it an unpleasant experience for us all.
