I decided to try my luck on getting a Pie the DAYBEFORE Thanksgiving,(I say, NO to the HYPE of Flying Saucer Pie). What was I thinking, right!!! I called and Lidia answered and told me YES! There was still a Chocolate Bourbon Pecan Pie! She would also wait for me and put my name on it!!! SCORE! Loaded up the boy and we made the journey from cypress to Bellaire. Actually, not so bad as I am familiar with the area, being a graduate from St. Agnes Academy… anyway we got there and my pie was waiting! There were STACKS of pies! I chatted a bit with the owner saying«no lines here!» I told her I found her on Unilocal with 5 stars, I couldn’t go wrong! She said«really?» She had NOIDEA about Unilocal, which to me, is AWSOME! The Pie you ask? Gone. Was the best chocolate bourbon pecan pie ANYWHERE!!! My vote, with no lines, goes to The Pie Factory, a little store in Bellaire. oh, they have been there 40 years! Sweet!

Friends have been telling us this place has amazing pies. So one afternoon when we found ourselves in that part of town we popped in. First of all it’s a little bit hidden off the street. If you see the McDonald’s on the north side of Bellaire just west of Chimney Rock it’s right across the street in that odd secret strip center. The front façade is something like one of those game rooms you are always scared to enter… dark reflective glass. But go in the door and there is a small little counter with a few pies and a HUGE menu of pies you can order. Don’t expect to find every pie available when you just pop in off the street. I guess ordering yours is best… but with the holidays on the way, it would be a great place to get your pies. And I would advise ordering early. Just go in and speak with the super friendly folks who run it. I understand they also do some terrific special order cakes too. We took home a cherry pie that must have weighed 4 pounds! The crust was buttery, the filling sweet and tart like a good cherry pie should be. It really was a good pie. All sorts of fruit pies — cherry, apple, lemon, blueberry, pineapple(?) and pecan and Meringue pies and of course pumpkin. We are going to order our holiday pie from here this year for a change of pace. Ours was $ 12 to carry out.

The wife surprised me with a cake for my birthday and it was fantastic as always! Chocolate cake, chocolate frosting with a raspberry center. Excellent!

I agree with Julia S. how this bakery is more known for their holiday pies. But recently I ordered a fondant cake for my niece’s first birthday and it was absolutely beautiful. I’m usually not a fan of fondant but the entire cake was completely edible. Still reminiscing about this delicious fluffy strawberry cake :)

I have glanced at this place over the years and the one time I want to finally buy a pie and they move locations. It was a tad hard to find, but once you know landmarks it’s no problem. The store is located at the end if a strip center that does not face the street. So be looking for the Sign. Its right next to a Brake Check. I came here still debating if I wanted a pie or cake. After looking at the selections I got the apple pie. It was good and flaky. It would make a perfect addition on thanksgiving and Christmas. I wish they had petit fours for their cakes. That would be awesome. I’ll be back for a cake. It’s not that expensive. Be warned — No credit cards or debit accepted —. I don’t know if this is temporary. I’d call to see If they do now.

This is where we always order our holiday pies. They have the best pumpkin pie in town! I usually call in advance and pick up the day before the holiday. They sell a variety of pies from pumpkin, apple, peach, pecan, chocolate pecan, etc. I don’t think they are as popular among regular consumers, it seems they mostly sell to other businesses such as restaurants and hotels.
