Ok sure, it’s in a rough area of town but it’s not as bad as some reviews claimed online. Everyone I encountered was pleasant or minded their own business. The selection is definitely hit or miss but we chatted with one of the staff and they mentioned that morning they had a new delivery of brand-new sofa sets and night stands and they were gone within a few hours. We found a huge, beautifully framed modern painting and two wooden chairs for less than $ 40. Of course you need to know that it takes patience but when you’re patient you end up finding some great deals!

Great store with awesome improvements since my last visit. Expanded furniture and the clothing seemed cheaper, so I asked. They said the had lowered their prices to match their competitors. Not sure if they are that low, but they were good for the Ralph Lauren shirt I got!

My enthusiastic review is due to the awesome furniture I saw here last Tuesday. I saw a lime green love seat to die for, some large L shaped office desks and a very nice armchair, a vintage entryway piece, etc. A little light on the clothing section. This store is huge and half of it is empty, it needs more merchandise in general but the furniture was section was definitely the highlight.

Selection was very limited and the prices were high compared to the thrift store that is just across the street. There was an excellent selection of bed frames.

I was invited to a black tie wedding event. I thought it was a long shot but we were in the area and figured we’d check out this Salvation Army. I had been here before to look at furniture and on that topic they have pretty good selection. Like I said however my treasure hunt was for a floor length formal gown. I was not disappointed. They had quite a selection of suitable gowns. I was shocked. I tried on at least four gowns ranging from a size 6 to size 10. I tried them on in the low budget — but well lit and honest dressing rooms. All of the gowns were about $ 14 a pop — what a steal. I picked two — one was too small, but absolutely regal deep emerald A-line dress and that was my — if I can lose 5(okay 10 lbs) in a month dress, and the other was a seemingly Ms. America-y gown with a lovely and unique one cross neck shoulder piece with a revealing back. There were both in very good condition — clean and relatively wrinkle free. We scoured about for a tuxedo for the hubby, but no such luck. Anyway we went to check out and lo-and-behold it’s half off clothes on Saturday(and Wednesday) so I got two gowns for the price of one!!! I ended up wearing the revealing back number and felt like a million bucks, and no one was the wiser as to whether I paid $ 7 or $ 170 for the gown! We had checked out a few other thrift shops and were given the option of more dated pieces and/or bridesmaidy pieces. This was really a great find for formal gowns. Happy hunting!

I just visted this thrift store and wasn’t expecting to find much, because of the area. But sure enough I found treasures: banana republic high waisted pants, 100/rabbit fur coat, and tahari dresses. Would I start visiting this store every Wednesday? No. But maybe every other three weeks…

6 months ago, I bought an antique armoire dresser here for $ 75. And now we’re moving and no longer need it so this afternoon, I just fire-saled it on Craigslist for $ 100! My wife and I have gotten some great deals here. Their furniture selection is pretty extensive. They have a sale system that the longer it sits in the store, the greater the discount! Everything is priced to move and it does within 30 days. Each week, they have something new. I’ve been to several other used furniture stores and this one has the best pieces and prices. We also picked up an almost brand new sofa and 2 matching chairs for about $ 250 but we’re keeping that set. My wife also likes their clothing. Every Wednesday, they have a 50% off sale. She’s gotten some nice vintage pieces. She will buy a jean jacket for $ 12, put some studs on it, and sell it on Etsy for $ 75. I don’t know how she does it but I like it. Workers here are extremely friendly and helpful. They’ll help you load your truck if you got a furniture order. And inside, they’ll suggest items based on what you bought in the past. With a great selection of furniture and clothing, helpful service, and discount prices, I’m sure you’ll agree with me too that this is one of the best thrift stores in Houston. También hablan español.
