I recently moved back to the Westchase area after living in Seabrook(which is basically a dead zone for any good food/drink establishments except Pappa’s restaurants). I missed having easy access to tapioca! Many years ago, I used to work at the Shepherd location of the Teahouse. I loved the drinks there. However, now that I live closer to this location, I go here. I wish the drinks were a little sweeter, but I ask for my tapioca tea with double sugar and it’s just about the same. The people at the counter seem really nice and easygoing. It turns out, my number was still in the system after over a year of no Teahouse and I had a free drink! I really like that the rewards program works for all Teahouse locations and you don’t need a card or anything. The only thing keeping this place from getting 5 stars is the lack of consistency across the Teahouse franchise– it’s a bit lacking, but that’s all I can really find fault with.

Love love love this tapioca joint. I think this exact boba shop was the first time I ever tried boba like 10 years ago whenever my mother would get her hair colored next door. I love their fruit blends and their cream blend plus their boba balls are on point all most every time.

This is my favorite place to go to if I really want egg pudding to go with my green tea with cream and baby tapioca.(This is a milk tea, by the way.) They make the best egg pudding compared to many of the tapioca shops I go to(including Kim’s Teahouse, Tealicious, Tapioca House, and Tapioca Square.) I also like their honeydew milk tea. Too bad it’s not closer to home. Usually I just settle with an alternative at Kim’s Teahouse. It tastes strikingly similar, but like I said, the egg pudding just isn’t the same.

This place is great because the drinks are delicious and there are many options. The downs are the absolutely absurd prices(more than a little pricey for drinks) and the tapioca pearls. I personally don’t like their pearls, and I’ve had better(at more than one place, too). Today I got a mango green tea with aloe, and even though that was $ 4, I would definitely get it again! The tea flavor is a lot stronger than Starbucks and it’s not overly sweet.(I would give them 3.5 if I could, but Unilocal doesn’t let me do that, so I guess I’ll be generous since I got a free cookies and cream smoothie from my rewards today)

The service can be slow at times and compared to the places around, the tea is not as fresh and the boba can be old and too chewy.

Teahouse has great value but unfortunately not too great teas. On the plus side, they’ve got the largest menu you’ll ever see at a tea shop with top notch customization. Maybe too large for their own good though. Drinks cost the standard $ 3.50−4.00 and you get nice, large 24 oz cups(most places use 22 oz). Ice levels are low-moderate. Rewards system is fantastic at 30 points/free drink. And they sweeten their tapioca with honey. Now the bad parts — their milk/cream teas are usually too sugary/milky/creamy by default and have little tea flavor. Their Teapress teas are disappointing as well and taste just like the regular milk teas but with less milk and sugar. There’s a bit more tea flavor, but it’s still quite weak and watery. Their tapioca pearls have the right amount of sweetness but are always overcooked and too mushy. And finally, they’re always out of chrysanthemum tea! But while I’m not a big fan of their teas, they’re still one of the better places to get bubble tea in Chinatown.

I wanted to try a new tapioca place, so decided to come here after eating at Tan Tan. I wasn’t really impressed with my initial sip. I got the #1 cream tea and my boyfriend got the matcha cream tea. There isn’t a strong taste or creaminess to the tea like KFT. My drink was kind of bland, and I also got it with no ice. But, I have to admit that Teahouse’s tapioca was the best I’ve ever tried! I would probably come back again because the portion size is large and its not overpriced.

I’ve been here many times. When I’m in Houston I go at least 5 – 6 times a month and am usually purchasing 2 – 3 drinks each time. My favorite drinks that I get 98% of the time: 2 — Tapioca Milk tea, triple scoops of tapioca and lite ice 1 — strawberry Lime ice blend, a scoop of tapioca and ½ scoop of strawberry jelly(tastes almost like a virgin strawberry daiquiri, the way most daiquiri should be made) 1 — unknown(daughter too young) The tapiocas are made fresh daily and takes about 2 – 3 hours to prep. Lasts about 5 – 6 hours before the texture is noticeably hard. Tapiocas are not supposed to be tough people. My biggest complaint is that when they open at the posted time, they are not quite ready to be open. Tapiocas have at least 60 – 90 minutes of prep time left when they open.

Came here with my daughter and we got a rose lychee tea blend and a caramel blend. Both came out as teas, and not blended. I was confused, but took them anyway. They both tasted like watered down thai tea with absolutely no taste or sweetness. Waste of money. Won’t be coming back.

Best tapioca place in Houston, IMHO(or at least much better than other Tea House locations and Dulce’s). Creamy drinks and soft and chewy tapioca. Very large cups for the price, much larger than the amounts I have paid for elsewhere. Reward system of 32 points(I believe) for a free drink. Service can be a hit or miss, depending on who is at the cashier, but generally positive experiences so far.

Menu was updated to include from small amount of sugar to stevia. ordered strawberry banana cream blend which used to taste like a smoothie. It is not as flavorable as before. internet area is gone, Ac is not as cool plus the big hip happening groups have migrated to new place. Music sounded almost like a club scene has been replaced to slower mellow beat. Good place for families to stop in. We will probably not return.

I love the tea smoothies here. I always have the Vanilla Cappucino smoothie with the black tapioca in the bottom. The drinks are huge. They last me quite a while. The only drawback is that they are a bit on the expensive side for a blended ice drink. But on the other hand, they are quite large. Also, you get a free one for every 10 you buy.

To the tune of «Call Me Maybe»: I just came here This is crazy 5 buck bubble tea? Drive away please Dang ya’ll!!! If Teapioca in OKC cost as much as this place here, I would probably weigh 5 pounds less! My family ordered 3 drinks with a sinker each, and the total was $ 16.50 after tax?! Plus: I do like their matrix for explaining if you want them to cut back on sugar. Balls weren’t on point– too much mush and not enough chew. If they’re not worth putting in my mouth, I won’t. But you need the balls for the full experience. 3– stars… I’d come back here if desperate or in a dry spell.

Great tea but ambiance not that good. Their Galleria Food Court location is a better place ambiance wise. The staff is poor at communication when it comes to speaking English. But their amazing tea overshadows it all. Tip: Honeydew is a personal favorite.

I’ve been coming to this Teahouse for a while now(easily since high school…8 years ago…), and it’s actually one of my favorite bubble tea spots. I never hang out here, though; I order my drink and take it to go. I’ll be honest, Teahouse is pretty expensive for bubble tea, but the drink size is larger than those of other places I’ve been to. Plus, once you hit $ 30 with their point system(based on your phone number), you get a free drink. Lots of incentive to come back! The cream green tea is my go-to, and it never fails to disappoint. I’ve ventured out with their slushes and coffee, but I always come back to my wonderful cream green tea. Teahouse drinks aren’t super sweet, so watch out when you ask for less sugar — I once got a grapefruit green tea with boba, and it was actually kind of sour. I appreciate the fact they don’t add unnecessary sugar, though. Whenever I’m in Chinatown, I always make a pit stop at Teahouse! I probably should venture out and try different joints, but when it’s so good, I’m very happy sticking with the(deliciously) familiar.

Their new point system goes with your phone number and every 30 points(30 dollars spent) will get you 1 free drink. I had the taro milk tea which I finished before I got home. I also had an Asian Plum Blend… that was gross. I took 3 sips just to be sure and had to throw it away. Booooooo!

Hehe, I love this place. I used to only buy avocado tapioca(they use fresh ones, not powder tyvm), but when I realized how full those things make you, I switched to something else. I’ve tried Jasmine Green Tea and today I did Cream Green Tea(#3 on the menu). That was great. It was just the right amount of sweetness and the people were very generous on the tapioca. It wasn’t diluted and flavorless like other places I’ve been at, and I loved it. However, I still think Jasmine Green Tea is better. Sure, this could be a bit on the pricey side, but I honestly think its worth every penny. (Oh and I mention they sell cookies? $ 0.50 each. That can’t ever go wrong)

I have, so far, visited this location twice and not have a bad experience. The first time was trying to satisfy my honeydew cream tea craving, so I took advantage of a «buy one, get one free» coupon via the Entertainment Book. My free drink was a honey lemon black tea with tapioca. They have TVs – 5 of them – on different channels so to satisfy customers’ taste. Plus, they have the radio playing the latest music to which I don’t care for. They have free wifi as long as you buy something. The staff is friendly and like I’ve said in the beginning, I haven’t experienced anything wrong to due bad service. I basically come to this location as an after-movie boba tea fix since there’s a movie theater that’s about three miles from here. And I will continue the tradition.

3 stars for this location only. Even though they do have the«Teahouse» franchise name, I still prefer the one on Shepherd and Westheimer due to better consistency of drinks, tapioca, and atmosphere due to the higher turnaround of customers. I usually have my usual trusted drinks for Teahouse, but decided to take a plunge and try one of their new specials, the rose lychee cream tea w/tapioca. First off, the drink was not sweet at all, not even a little bit. We had to ask them to add syrup/sugar to it and it was still not good. Not much tapioca at all. That tea was $ 4.60, equaling the shakes/smoothies price, which IMO is pretty steep considering it’s in chinatown. This location is also a lot smaller and just didn’t have a good ambiance. There’s a lot of other options for tapioca in Chinatown, but if you’re really wanting tapioca from the Teahouse chain, this is it.
