Just got back from lunch here with some coworkers and felt like delaying work for a few minutes, so I’m going to help these guys out with a review. They’re right next to Schlotzsky’s and that Uncle Wang’s Chinese Food(not sure on the name) in the Greenspoint area. Compared to other places that we usually go to near the Greenspoint area, this place was relatively empty for some reason. I think it might be because people(myself included) probably see the«bakery» part of the name and assume it’s more bakery than café. Anyways, they had some sandwiches, burgers, etc. but also a lunch plate special for $ 8 which is what I got(1 entrée, 2 sides, a roll and unlimited iced tea). Only had 2 entrees to choose from, a cordon bleu type chicken thing and meatloaf, don’t know if they rotate them out or anything since I’ve only been here once, but they were both good. Some other guy got a sandwich and liked his also. The owner/manager(I assume) was pretty outgoing and slightly eccentric, and the staff were friendly so no complaints there. The place was clean and seemed well run to me. Bottomline: decent place for a quick lunch in the $ 5-$ 10 range. There weren’t alot of people here(which I don’t feel reflects the quality of the food I got today) and it’s a fairly large place with maybe 15 tables so there probably shouldn’t be a wait. Parking might be a beech since there are so many restaurants in that strip mall, but it’s worth a try in my opinion.
