I was looking for a particular skirt but found it in a different color. The lady working the floor said they could check online to see if the color I wanted was available there. After trying on the item and deciding what size I needed, I went to the check out counter and asked if they could go ahead and see if they had it online so I could order there. The other lady working the register said«oh, no they don’t have it there yet.» And insisted it wouldn’t be there until a little later closer towards the holidays. The lady who originally said she’d check for me, went along with her and said sorry. They didn’t even bother to check anyways. Sorry for what? Lacking customer service? Being lazy? Lying to me? Goodness! Well guess what, found it online myself as soon as I walked out of the store! I could’ve been persistent and said can you check anyways but as a paying customer, I shouldn’t have to beg for common sense service. The store wasn’t busy at the time. Nothing was going on. Why couldn’t one of them check? I used to go to this particular store a lot too. Such a shame…

Oh, how wonderful it feels as a plus size girl to walk into a store and be able to pick anything in the store I want without wanting to cry when it doesn’t fit! Every time I visit Torrid or shop online I get a new sense of confidence. The staff at this particular location is always nice and willing to help, from advice on fittings or what will coordinate well together. I’m in love with Torrid, I had to get a credit card immediately. I wish they had a location in the Woodlands! The staff here at this one though, they’re great. I always have my online orders shipped here and I never have a problem picking them up.

I made a purchase at the First Colony Mall store in Sugar Land TX. After I got home, I realized one of the tops that I had bought was coming apart at the seam. Two days later, I was at the Memorial City Mall, so I thought I would stop in and exchange the top. When I first purchased the top there was a buy one, get one half off sale going on and it was still going on when I tried to exchange. The Memorial City Mall did not have the same top, so they said I could exchange it for another. The original price on the top was 38.50, but it was the half off top. So they told me the top I could exchange it for could only be 19.25. When I tried to explain that I should be able to do an even exchange of a top for 38.50, they told me they could not do that, since I had only paid 19.25. This does not make any sense. They also told me if I just wanted to return it, I would have to take it back to First Colony. What kind of customer service is that? I told them to forget it, I would just keep the top and fix it myself. Before I left, the employee came over and asked how I had paid for it and I said visa. She then told me she could refund the 19.25 to my visa, but I refused. On top of that, when I arrived back home and repaired the seam in the back of the shirt, I also noticed the seam at the neck was falling apart and I had to repair that too. This was the first time I have shopped at your stores, and don’t know if I would ever shop there again with the way that I was treated. I contacted customer service through their website and the response was that they can’t do anything and I should go back to First Colony and talk to a manager. Seriously, what kind of response is that.

I went there before Valentine’s day to find a dress. Found two dresses at a great price(plus some other thongs). The last that assisted me was very helpful! I will be returning and was glad to hear that there is a location near me in Sugar Land. I also ordered some items online and I was very pleased at how quickly they arrived.

It depends I guess. It could have been 1 star for price, for layout of the store, etc. But due to the fact that it’s hard to find cute stuff for plus sized women, I’m giving it 3 stars. I didn’t buy anything but there was some REALLY cute stuff in there. They had bathing suits up(in February —what!?), lingerie, accessories, awesome belt selection, and all the different types of clothes you can think of. But like I said, the prices is what drove me out of here. I wasn’t REALLY in the market to buy anything so I’m sure if I needed something I might have splurged. Even the clearance rack that had old stuff on it was barely marked down from $ 50 to $ 40 for jeans. I’d rather go to Lane Bryant where I KNOW the quality will stand on it’s own(that’s about all I really want to go to LB for anymore though). As soon as I have a wedding or an occasion in mind, I’ll return and then I’ll know if the quality of the clothing is worth the price or not.
