My go to place for all deserts and macaroon. My favorite is the stuffed avocado. While the prices might scare you but if you sign up for the rewards it will be worth it. Monday is macaroon Monday and happy hour Tuesday. $ 4 cocktail yummmm !

First time here! Wrapping up our trip to Houston with the last food stop~~ we ordered macaroons as it is macaroon Monday! Buy 3 get one free~ so our flavors: cookies and crème, red velvet, nutella!!, and green tea. Along that, we had strawberry macaroon ice cream sandwich and cookies and cream ice cream sandwich! Mmmm delicious. Looking for weight-loss drinks? XD try their no. 8. Ingredients are grapefruit, thyme, and palm sugar. Not sure if it claims as it is but I do know for a fact that grapefruit juice for me is a cleanse(if you know what I mean XD) Anywho bon apetite!

Lettuce begin. I’m going to be real and straight up, this place is SUPER expensive, I recommend this place if you’re going for coffee or you just have money. For my first order, I got 2 large ice cream macaroons and 2 mason jar fruit drink for $ 35? Like damn. Even though it was expensive, I had to admit they tasted good. The macaroons with ice cream was the perfect combo if you wanted something cold for the hot weather and the grapefruit drink did its job of «weight loss» and the taste sure did give me happiness. After that, I got the Club with an extra egg and 4 macarons. Now, that sandwich was a bit messy to eat, but it was a good eat. The Club was $ 11, but I added another $ 2 for an egg. The Club comes with a side of fries, and let me tell you, those fries were on point too and the dipping sauce was pizza sauce. The sad part was that it took me a few bites to finally realize it was not ketchup. The macarons were TINY. They had a Monday deal: Buy three, get one free. But that doesn’t make difference! It was already $ 7 – 9 for 4 pieces of one bite macaroons. I do wish they make the prices cheaper and make the size of them bigger. The atmosphere was decorated well. I love the quotes they have around their chalkboards. Extremely selfie worthy place. And the employees were amazing! They would walk around and pick up trash and plates for you! The weird part was just the restroom and how everyone has to share a sink(I like room-closed gender restroom). Have homework to do or want to go out for a coffee? I recommend this place! Peace Out Girl Scouts.

Tout Suite means«all fast» is French, or basically«right now»… More on this in a minute. Food: Brunch was Delicious. I got Shrimp and grits. While the portion wasn’t as large as I wanted, I was smart enough to order bacon on the side. It seemed quite a few of my friends complained that the portions were just a little too small but made up for it in flavor. This place knows how to cook. Pastries: I give this its own category. Come here, get a few macaroons and a cupcake. Exquisite pastries. Price: price for food and pastries combined was on the high side, but not enough to totally break the bank. Maybe a budget conscious college kid would skip the macaroons, but for what you get it was quite pleasing. Atmosphere: Houston hipster. This is as hipster as Houston will get, save a few spots in midtown. Very loud, and it was also packed full for lunch so we sat outside. This place is in EaDo so not to posh and imposing. Good low– key place to hang with friends. Service: okay, it might not live up to its name in this category. Service took a little longer than we would have liked. It took around 30 minutes for food for my 4 friends and I to arrive. Not forever, but certainly not fast. I only find this annoying because it does call itself«the fast place» and that just isn’t true. But the wait staff were cool, nice, and personable and apologized for the wait so it’s all cool. Down a star to 4 however. Successful brunch, going back to try the avocado toast sometime.

Love this little spot for Sunday brunches. Usually a line forming before they even open. The food is delicious the atmosphere is trendy but practical and I’m addicted to the little flans in the dessert area(even though they’re $ 5 for two bites). Draw back is you’ll spend more than you’d like for a Sunday brunch. And I’m practical but enjoy being frivolous occasionally for food and sometimes I’m like«ugh do I need the flans this morning?!» And spend $ 50 on that, some croissants and a chai latte… But, eh you’re also paying to sit in a cute shop and Instagram your food.(Bit o’ sarcasm) but I still like it and the staff is pretty awesome. I’m usually harassing them about making more croissant bread puddings, which aren’t made very often and probably the greatest thing ever.(hey! More please! Thanks!)

Coffee, food, & «suites», all pretty good(thumbs up!). Lots of seating. Solid wifi. Music is mainstream indie. Good study spot. Friendly staff, sometimes too many people behind the counter, but all pretty friendly. Super-Major-Con: It gets too loud, too easily. The space has wayyy too much acoustic echo. I can be sitting right next to someone, and not understand a word they’re saying. I would imagine all that’s needed is a sound dampening spray-foam or sound absorbing treatments on the ceiling. Seems like such an easy fix which could dramatically improve the ambiance of this establishment. If I’m with someone, and want to have a meaningful conversation, I’m definitely NOT going to Tout Suite. Subjective Con: I’m not a fan the long rectangular plates. It’s all aesthetics, zero function. The food is yummy, there’s just not enough space to stay on the plate.

This is a very trendy spot in EADO that always seems crowded. The décor and feel of the place definitely matches the location: industrial loft styled space. We went to grab a quick snack and hangout on a Friday afternoon. The items on the menu are a bit more expensive than other comparable spots. We ordered an iced green tea with honey and the mango passion fruit tart. The iced green tea was decent, but the star of the show was the dessert. We wanted to use our laptops but couldn’t connect to the Wifi network. One of the employees said it they recently switched to an open, unsecured network and it has been giving them a lot of problems. Overall, the food/drink are above average in price. It’s a hip/trendy place to hangout. Not a great place to work/study due to the bad Wifi and noise/crowd.

I absolutely love this place. The macaroons are always fresh and the coffee is always excellent. They have great brunch too. I come here about once a week for a late night coffee and macaroon. The staff is always«suite» and welcoming. Would definitely suggest it if you wanted that date to keep going after dinner. Most people like an enjoy the modern, contemporary atmosphere and the history of the building is explained on the floor which is really cool.

I loved everything about this place. From the food to the sweets, and the store front to interior. I will becoming back again for food and deserts without doubt. I stopped in here one day with a friend to grab some brunch. It was quite crowded as we had to circle around to the back of the building to park our car. As I looked through the menu, I’d the say the prices are above average for a meal, but when we received it, we were inhaling the food. I can say I finished every bite and drop off of my plate. We also tried out their drinks that they had up front sitting in the open top fridge. It looks like they make these drinks in-house. I know they are involved with the dessert shop, SWEET. They have the same exact macarons and flavors. I love these and I can’t get enough! Every time I see these, I’ll get about a dozen for myself. I saw that they served ice cream macaron sandwiches so I knew I was going to grab one of those for myself. I didn’t know how big these were because I never had one so I ended up ordering two. I wasn’t able to finish one by myself so I gave the 2nd macaron to my friend. Heck, I shouldn’t have had one by myself. I could’ve split it with him. Overall, I’m coming back to dine in. The restroom has it’s own unique door that I have never seen before. As soon as I figured it out, I was like whoa! This is very hidden. One thing I didn’t like was the restroom sink was shared with both men and women. That is a bit weird.

My review of Tout Suite really reflects a rating if 3.6 versus 4.0, however, I like to round up :) Tout Suite is a unique place located in the EADO District of HTX. Known for their sweet treats, I decided to venture outside the popular picks and try the breakfast. I got the French toast, which wasn’t bad. Not the best, but definitely not the worse. My wife got the Juevos Rancheros — also good. I personally would have loved a bigger plate for my French toast. I get it, the place is a magnet for hipsters and the décor is alluring, however, I had syrups and sauces running on to the table everywhere! The area is also not the most desirable. It’s still growing and redefining itself, so seeing a few homeless people while you walk to or from your car wouldn’t be uncommon. I’d like to come back and try the tonics or the desserts. That could increase my love for this place if I find the right item.

Check boxes would be easier to review for this place for they have much to offer! Yes– for good desserts(and with variety); yes– for awesome coffee; yes– for beers + wine(for those who aren’t fan of sweet/coffee); yes– for modern interior design; yes– for friendly staff; yes– for hours!(Open ’til midnight for those who crave for late night desserts/coffee) no– for food(portions & selection were not worth the price-tried both brunch and dinner)

This place is like Sweets and Common Bond had a love child who wanted to be a bar tender. This place is as hipster as it gets. It’s a lot bigger on the inside than it looks on the outside and actually has 2 stories for seating. I didn’t get a chance to try the food but I tried their passionfruit bomb brioche thing which was beautifully made and tasted delicious. It had a nice fudgy outer coating with a sweet cream filling and a surprising piece of candied passionfruit. The flavors married really well together and I couldn’t wait to scarf it all down. They had other amazing looking stuff too, so I guess I’ll have to head back there to try the rest of it. The parking was a bit of a challenge. We were lucky to find parking right across the street, but I can imagine it being a pain in the butt if you happen to go when it’s peak time. I would bring some walking shoes just in case. My biggest complaint about this place is that the service was a little slow, and workers didn’t seem all that nice and welcoming. Other than that, not too bad.

Came here for Sunday brunch(no choice as they open at 10 on weekends; we originally wanted breakfast but I guess it meant we could sleep in) about ten minutes after they opened. There were already some people there. Patrons ranged from people catching up and others were there for work/study. I didn’t see outlets and I didn’t use the wifi. There was a good amount of seating from counter seats and individual tables to longer communal tables. Décor was great and the comments on great food photos is correct. It was slightly confusing at first but the menus hang on clipboards on the rails by the doors. I wanted something savory but as we’re vegetarian and don’t eat onion, garlic, leeks, or chives(even in powdered form), I didn’t want to take the risk or go through the hassle of explaining first thing. Plus, there was already a line. We went towards the pastries area and got in line. We ordered the banana French toast and a chocolate croissant. He got his usual black coffee and I, the iced green tea latte. We got a number; the coffee and croissant was handed to us, I had to pick up my latte at the bar once my name was called out(this wasn’t explained to me but I saw a group of people waiting and followed my intuition). It took a while for our food to get to us but once it did, there was some confusion as Migas was brought out to us but we eventually got our correct order. The food looked photogenic. Taste wise, the coffee was«sour» which isn’t his favorite. I thought the latte was not bad and not all that sweet, but they offer sugar at the self serve stations to further sweeten your drink if desired. The croissant was hollow so I couldn’t peel and eat the fluffy innards as I prefer, but it did contain some bits of chocolate inside and the crust was crispy. Not bad, but not the best I’ve had. The French toast itself consisted of thick cut bread, but the inside lacked the custard-like consistency I look for in my French toast. The sauce was supposed to be cardamom-infused and wasn’t too sweet(yay!), but I couldn’t really detect cardamom and I wish there were more bananas; the French toast was on the dry end but the two dollops of whipped cream helped. It was filling despite sharing it all, so at least we got our money’s worth! By the time we were finished(still within the first hour of opening), most of the seats were filled. They certainly have good business! The place and atmosphere was good and noise was okay other than the toddler at the table next to me. I probably wouldn’t go to study or work due to the popularity of the place. As for savory foods, I might try to see if I could eat anything savory next time, but I believe I’ll definitely visit again to just try the desserts and I’ll update my review accordingly. I’m also intrigued by the acai bowl!

I can’t believe I haven’t written a review for Toute Suite yet, having come here at least 15 times. Whenever I have a friend in town, this is a go to place to grab brunch and catch up. Parking is sometimes difficult to find directly outside Toute Suite, but there’s plenty of space available if you’re willing to walk a little further. The location of Toute Suite in East Downtown isn’t necessarily the nicest, but the ambience is incredibly trendy inside. The spacious interior gives off warehouse vibes, and there’s plenty of seating inside and outside unless you hit the Saturday/Sunday brunch rush. This brunch spot turns into a coffee-shop pretty quickly by mid-afternoon on the weekends. The great: –Best avocado toast I’ve tried in Houston. The fresh pepper flakes really give it a kick –Acai bowl/pitaya bowl: delicious, fresh, generous portion. I personally prefer the acai bowl over the pitaya bowl even though the vibrant colors of the pitaya bowl is easy on the eyes –Stuffed avocado is great, although I’d still pick the avocado toast over it. The filling of the avocado is constantly changing, so be sure to ask what it is that day –Macaroons: While the texture isn’t the best I’ve had, the large flavor selection makes up for it –The devine bakery selection –Reward point system: type in your phone number on their ipad whenever you place an order. You’ll rack up some decent points over time and are awarded things like a free macaroon tower, $ off your next order, etc. via text message The good –Farm fresh pick: have a tendency to be a little more oily than I’d like –Coffee –Fresh fruit: it’s fresh fruit, but they give a decently generous portion, and it’s a mix of fruits I love(kiwi, strawberries, blueberries, etc.) The okay: –Suite fries: it’s just fries The bad: –Unimpressed with the brussels sprouts –There is only 2 cashiers working at any given time, one for dine-in orders and one for to-go orders. They’re typically pretty fast, but what really slows down the incessant line is people being indecisive and asking a lot of questions at the register. –My office tends to place larger orders(I guess you can say we’re kinda trendy…) and they sometimes run out of avocados… so there’s that

Still hands down the best vanilla latte in Houston. Just the right amount of vanilla and foam. Haven’t been disappointed yet. Try the avocado toast! You’ll thank me for it!

I hadn’t heard of this place until a business partner suggested we have a working meeting there. It’s awesome! I love the look and feel of the building. The staff is friendly. It’s the perfect place to meet friends and catch up, to study, or to work! They have a wide range of coffees and pastries. They also sell food! I had a chai tea latte — great flavor and thick layer of foam on top. I also ordered a meat frittata with bacon and mushrooms. It came with a small side salad. I enjoyed!

A very cool patisserie-café in Downtown Houston, which my friend recommended. The display case is impeccable, boasting a rainbow of different macarons, whose flavours vary by the season. For Spring, I selected three macarons: Rose, Honey Lavender, and Jasmine Tea. The macarons were incredible! The cookies were crisp, delicate, and airy, and the cream center sweet, light and refreshing– they way I think a macaron should be. The presentation was beautiful, with real lavender and rose buds in my floral macarons, and a delicate crusting of sugar on my Jasmine macaron. The macarons were plated on a wooden cutting board, which was perfect for taking photos with my friend. The price was a little bit more expensive than I am used to, but I would gladly pay it for the quality. The café was crowded, but there was a lot of space available to sit– at least two seperate open-floor levels of sitting. There were high stools, booths, benches with short tables, bar seating, pretty much any option available; whether you were there to study alone, as many did, or meeting up with friends. My friend ordered a vanilla latte, and it was presented beautifully in a heavy porcelain cup, with delicate art drawn into the foam. I could smell the rich, roasted scent of coffee and vanilla from across the table. When she finished, you could see the dust of ground vanilla bean stuck to the bottom of the cup. Everything served here was rich in detail, texture and substance, in this way. I would definitely go back if I am ever back in Houston; I would even make it my first stop. I only knocked off a star because of how crowded it was, even on a weekday morning… and the bathroom was difficult to locate, behind a non-descript sliding barn door. If my friend hadn’t given me directions and if I hadn’t seen a guy entering the bathroom myself, I probably wouldn’t have found it.

Update: Lowered my rating to 2 stars because the internet is so bad. No connection! Time to find a new ‘go to’ place downtown. Sorry. I would love to love this place but i have never seen a coffee shop with no internet service. I thought it was just one day but i went back a couple of times to have the same bad internet experience. It was a waste of my time. Tip: Get the Salted Caramel Peanut Tart. One of my favorite desserts. Love the environment! Food: We got cupcakes, a Tiramisu, and a Salted Caramel Peanut Tart. For drinks we got a coffee and latte. The cupcakes and Tiramisu were good but not oustanding. The Salted Caramel Peanut Tart left a lasting impression though. It was not overly sweet and the ingredients were the perfect mix! We actually came for the Espresso Crêpe cake but they ran out and it was only 8pm on a Saturday night. They open till 12am so i didnt understand why it was not available. The coffee was good. My wife didnt like though that she couldnt get skim for her latte. Only 2% or whole. Service: You get the desserts right away. Just choose from whats on display. The latte takes about as long as Starbucks. Place: I love the place! Hipster artsy crowd. A few kids are around. We brought our 10 and 15 yr old at 8pm on a Sat. The place is 2 levels/floors. Lots of tables but there are alot of people studying/working there so seating is limited. Very clean place. Great place for a date! Value: About the same as any coffee and dessert place. I would go back again!

I feel so impressionable for liking this place mostly BC of its trendy look and ambience feeling. I think it’s really depends on what you’re getting and when you’re here that will alter your experience. I had a good experience here on a Friday night with a group of friends. Granted, the line for bakery is ridiculously long but I was so in love of how cool the place was, I didn’t mind at all. Our group ordered some macaroons, a salted caramel tart, macaroons sandwiches, beer/wine. Macaroon is $ 2 each which I don’t think it’s too expensive. Wine is quiet pricey for what they’re selling. We loved the salted caramel peanut butter tart. It looks super sweet and rich but it’s actually not. My friend ordered the cappuccino and he seems to enjoy his drink. I can see why this place has a 3 and half stars. I don’t see it’s being a place you order anything other than bakery/dessert here. I can totally see them messing up people’s drinks. It was like a mad house here on a Friday night with multiple lines of people ordering drinks and food. I will definitely be coming back if I’m around the area.
