I rented a truck to pick up a purchase I made from a store 13 miles from my home, 6.5 miles from the u-haul location I rented the truck from. When I returned the truck four hours later, I was being charged for 160 miles. When the trip was 30 miles tops(if for some reason I had stopped anywhere else, which I didn’t). The guy at the counter apologized and said the best he could do was knock off the price of the rental but I had to pay for the mileage. He said this as if he was doing me a big favor! When really I was being charged 5X the miles I actually drove. I showed them the receipt for gas that I had replenished, a total of 4 gallons which put the gas tank over the required ¾. How was I able to drive 160 miles in about 3 gallons of gas? Another guy came over and again said it must have been a mistake and that they would knock the miles down to 60 and I wouldn’t have to pay for the 160 I was originally told. Again, they felt like they were doing me a favor, when really it was their mistake. I was still paying at least 2X the actually mileage I drove. As a customer, I understand the responsibility to double check the mileage before leaving the lot. But this mistake should not have happened in the first place. The store made me feel responsible, questioned weather or not I was telling the truth and blamed their mistake on me. Please make sure you check your mileage before driving off the lot and do not get ripped off. I would not recommend this place for business.

I needed a tow package installed on my truck. The manager, Paul Israel-Ramirez, installed it and recommended a trailer brake to go along with it. The cost was a little less than the quote, because the truck already had the trailer light wiring. I appreciate his honesty and his attention to detail. While he was working on the truck, he had to help at the counter and answer questions from new associates. He didn’t allow that to distract him from the task at hand. He also answered any questions we had about the products. We are getting our first travel trailer, so we’re new to the game. Paul knows his stuff; he knows what his products will and won’t do. We are coming back soon to have a transmission oil cooler installed and we’re requesting that Paul do it. Too many people just learn the bare minimum to «do their job». Paul isn’t one; he takes the time to learn everything. The only reason I gave him five stars is that I couldn’t give more.
