This is a great place to live. Friendly neighbors, the office staff is always very helpful, and maintenance is also great. There are fun events for the residents every month also.

I currently live here. I think that for everything that we receive in our packaging as a resident the price isfair. I love the leasing agents. Management is cool. Parking is decent, but if you have friends that like to come over they will find it really hard to park because visitor parking is very limited. The gym is over rated. No benches. I had dreams, then I walked into that gym and couldn’t reach them. But location is my tipping point. It’s in the heart of a lot.

Upper Kirby has been my favorite apartment complex I’ve lived in yet! I’ve never had the luxury of living in an apartment that is as clean, fun, quiet, and comfortable as Upper Kirby. First, the staff is extremely friendly and will greet everyone by name. They always know when I have packages and will update me about upcoming events. Second, the social calendar they plan each month is always something to look forward to! From the pizza parties, to the happy hours, and even to Sunday brunch — there’s always something to look forward to. Lastly, my apartment is clean, bug free, and any work order that is put in(a very infrequent occasion) is completed in a timely manor. In the end, I would recommend Upper Kirby to anyone looking for an apartment to call home!

I love UK. We moved in, in March and haven’t had any problems. The community, common areas, and parking garages are always very clean and kept up with. We feel very safe, all doors and elevators remain locked 24⁄7. Staff is very friendly and the new property manager is wonderful. We face the neighborhoods in the back of the complex and love it, nice view & very quite. There’s always plenty of parking. Also, tons of resident events & fitness classes. Only con– we can hear the washing machine from the apartment above us, however it’s pretty quite and easy to tune out.

Regrettably, I just moved out of this place. Rent is climbing and I didn’t want to pay $ 2000/month for less than 1100 sq ft. Can you blame me? The pros: –Now that I’m at a new place I’m realizing how clean Upper Kirby was kept(and my new place is not). The elevators are clean, the hallways are clean(especially 4th floor. This is where the model is so they take extra care to keep the 4th floor spotless), the pool area is clean, and all other common areas. I am really missing this about Upper Kirby. –Plenty of parking on both levels. This has been a problem at other complexes and not once did I ever have a problem at UK. The top floor tends to fill up on weeknights by 10p, so if you’re coming home late then you’ll have to park below, but there are plenty of spots. –They do happy hours once a month at bars around the area, have a chef come in and prepare brunch once a month as well, and offer free spin classes in the gym. Ultimately, the free spin classes are what made me choose UK over another place. — They have a long fenced in dog run along the perimeter which is great to let your dog run loose and generally its pretty clean(albeit smelly at times) — I’ve always felt very safe at UK and they’re very good about letting you know if someone’s car was broken into, etc –Generally most of the residents are pretty friendly, especially at the pool The cons: — My apartment faced the pool so I didn’t have any issues with noise, but those who lived facing the street complained of street noise, especially weekend nights –The leasing office had a pretty high turnover rate for most of the time I lived there. It seemed like every couple of months I’d walk into the leasing office and the staff was entirely new — We rented the cheapest 2 bedroom available and it was TINY for how much we paid. We didn’t tour the apartment beforehand so didn’t realize it until move in day. Oops. In summary, If I was willing to pay more for rent I’d still be living at Upper Kirby as it’s a clean, safe, and fun complex.
