This is the first time I’ve felt the need to update a review, as a lot of things have changed at U.S. Nail Spa. I’m really disappointed to have to remove a star, but it is what it is. Aside from the owner, Lynn, the best nail technicians were Vanessa(who no longer works here) and her daughter, Michelle(who still works here). Lynn claims that she fired Vanessa and if that’s true, she did herself a disservice. Only two of the nail techs that were added after Vanessa’s departure have stayed. The others either don’t last, or they don’t do nails as well as Lynn or Michelle. With these two being the best, they are naturally always busy and rarely able to take walk-ins unless you come in the middle of the day. When time permits, I come during the week around 11 a.m., but most of the time, this doesn’t fit my schedule. If you get shellac or powder nails, I would only recommend these two ladies. To give you an idea of how great they are, I was recently at Pappadeaux’s off the 610 and the bartender and I complimented each other’s nails. As it turns out, Lynn did both of our nails. Lynn doesn’t take any crap, and she is quick to curse a customer out and tell them, «I don’t need your money!» if they come at her sideways. Aside from her mouth, she does great work. I still like to get my eyebrows waxed by Tina, but sometimes she is too nonchalant for my liking. I’ve come in to see her sleeping in the back or eating, and each time, she was in no rush to start working regardless of the fact that she had about three people waiting. Lady, do you want this money or not? I really like her work, so I try to catch her early on Saturday mornings before she takes one of her naps. But, she might find herself one customer short soon if she keeps playing. While my review has downgraded, I’m not completely severing ties with this place. The work ethic might need some improvement, but I’m still team Lynn and team Michelle.

On the influence of Tashi L’s reviews, I took a chance on this place. The people are very sincere and sweet, but my experience was not very satisfying. Decided to splurge and get shellac nails with a refill. Vivian was my nail tech and did a great job cutting down my nails and doing the fill, bit I think her shellacing skills are subpar. I do not think she let the nails stay under the uv long enough, thus leading to part of my shellac chipping off the next morning. Honestly, I noticed that the sides of my nails were not painted a couple of hours after I left the shop, but since I do not live in the area and had to work all day, my only option was to leave during my lunch break and get a touch up. I didn’t think such a situation was worth the time, BUT part of my polish chipping off my nail was a must to get repaired. When I arrived the next day, the shop was pretty busy due to back to school time, but I was acknowledged and my concern given priority. Another nail tech redid the job and even redid the other thumb that had the sides unpainted, but atlast, the paint chipped off AGAIN the next morning!!! I was on my way to a destination and had no time to drive out of my way to the other side of town to get it fixed again, so I’m just chocking this experience up to never again. Maybe the other consumers who have reviews here have not gotten shellac, and if that is the case, then maybe give them a chance because plenty of people were frequenting the place. The technicians even knew some of them by name. However, I wouldn’t send someone here for shellac nails. Buyer Beware.

I usually do my own, but I wanted to be pampered. Lynn was amazing, I got the Wednesday special. It’s $ 25 for mani pedi. I passed on the toe polish I just wanted my legs and feet rubbed instead. Lynn happily did that for me. I am sad kevin isn’t here anymore but Lynn was just as qualified!!! Thank you
