I had to share my experience here since I noticed all of the low ratings. I normally go to my Aunt for cuts, but there’s times she’s busy and can’t squeeze me in so than I’m on the hunt for someone to cut my hair when I desperately need one. Today was one of those days so I made an appointment to VC in Greenspoint since they were able to get me in during my lunch break and honestly I only come here b/c it’s 5 mins from my work. I work in Greenspoint, yes, it’s not exactly known to be a «safe» area but honestly the mall that VC is in is dead, there’s hardly anyone there on week days. Plus there’s cops patrolling everywhere so it’s not unsafe to me during the day anyways. Anyways, my stylist was Pili, she was sweet and did a great job on my cut. I asked her to give me a trim but keep my length & add long layers. It came out a tad bit shorter than I expected. Nonetheless, I needed a good trim since my ends were dry and damage from summer time bleaching. The cut was reasonably price, $ 37, shampoo, cut and blowdry. She is a mid level stylist with 10+ years experience so I trusted she knew what she was doing. This wasn’t my first haircut at the VC in Greenspoint, I went years ago and had a great cut that time as well but w/a diff. stylist. Everyone working there was professional and friendly. I had a rather pleasant experience, no complaints. Sadly, since the mall in this location is dead they will be closing down VC in Greenspoint soon, I’m told in Feb. Luckily all the stylist will transfer over to other VC locations. My stylist Pili will be at Deerbrook full-time(she works at both Greenspoint and Deerbrook location right now) so if you’re looking for a great cut in that area go see her. I hate to see the Greenspoint location go since it’s so close to work and a great alternative for me when I can’t get into my usual spot but understandably we all have to bring home the bacon and with such low clientele they’re probably not making enough to profit. I guess everything good must come to an end eventually.

So disappointed. Made an appt for an updo at 3. I told the stylist I needed it to last till midnight as it was a HUGE family party that’s taken months to plan, pictures were to be taken and a ceremony we were standing in …(it started at 6) I showed her a picture and I did tell her it didn’t have to be exact but, I wanted it to be similar. It wasn’t. When I said I’m not sure I like this(once I saw it… her exact words to me were«your hairs very long but, very thin.» I did the best with what I had to work with…” And if she couldn’t get it close why didn’t she just say that in the first place?!) She kept me not facing the mirror the whole time… so, I couldn’t see till the very end… or I definitely would have stopped her and revised the back of my hair… And, the worst part is by 6 the bobby pins were falling out and it looked soooooo bad… hairs falling and sticking out… I ended up taking it down by 8… so disappointing. I paid 65(plus tip… Which wouldn’t have been given if I knew what was ahead) she made me feel like it was my fault because of my hair type. I thought I’m probably being just too picky about the style and just go with it… but, then it started falling apart!!! She was nice, personable and the conversation flowed until I asked if we could change it towards the end when I actually got to see it!!! She said no changes could be made and rushed me to the front… It didn’t even make it 4 hours… total waste of money. It was supposed to be a very special day for my hubby, his family and I and I had no updo by 8pm. And, yes I did keep pushing the bobby pins in but a few seconds later they were sliding and so visible… I could feel it coming apart. By 7:30 ish It looked sloppy and it was coming undone! I’m just sad about the whole thing. Not naming any names but, I thought I was paying for a «at the top» stylist. No disrespect intended… but, that’s not the quality I received.

If I could give this place zero stars I would. I had taken my son and husband because they needed a haircut and we were already there. The Visible Changes in Willowbrook mall is amazing and they leave my son and husband hair looking great so I thought there would be no difference. Wrong! I’m not even kidding you when I say that they had no idea what the hell they were doing. One of the girls was working on my son while another was working on my husband. The girl working on my son was asked to do a low taper fade with a comb over style. She looked like she was trying. She called the girl over that was working on my husband to get some help. That didn’t help. When they were done, they literally just walked my son over and turned back around and didn’t say anything. THEYLEFTBALDSPOTSALLOVERHISHEAD! It was horrible and I was pissed. Further inspection of my husband’s haircut, the edge up he asked for on the back looked like a tidal wave. I asked for my money back and left. Don’t go there at all!

Several years back this was my favorite salon. It is ok now but is just like any other salon, in my opinion. Everyone is really nice but it has lost the pizzazz Visible Changes use to be. I just went in for a haircut. They were able to get me in quickly and with a regular stylist. Cut is fine so the price I paid is ok.

I was satisfied that they could get me in without an appointment, but that’s where it stopped. I needed a haircut, and didn’t have transportation to get out of the area, so I was left with Visible Changes as my only option. The haircut was not done well, my bangs were left uneven, and a nasty-smelling gel was put in my hair afterward(without asking me first). Apparently the girl who did my hair was«Style Director» level, which warranted a $ 32 price tag… ouch! This also wasn’t advised prior to the transaction. I can’t say I’d recommend this place.

These ladies did an amazing job the coloring looks excellent and the girl who cut my hair actually didn’t just start chopping away like I’ve had before. I got ombré coloring and a cut and style and the price with tip and everything came out to 200 $ which isn’t too bad. I will be going back to them.

The staff was very rude and low life mentality people. To add to this, the phone assistant purposely left the phone off the hook, so she wouldn’t have to do her job. The women I went to was a tall big black women put shampoo in my hair and did not wash it out. It could have been an accident if it was only done once in a while. However, ITWASNOT. She put shampoo in my hair time after time, until one day I went home and only rinsed my hair with water and it was soapy with water. I did not use shampoo in the rinsing and my hair was lathering. This was no accident. My hair was breaking off [thank god it has grown back now] and I could not figure out why. The service here is horrendous. NEVERGOTHERE… Save your money and go else where.
