Been here a few times and I’ve not been overly impressed with this location. The staff has been rude towards us more than once. I asked about a military discount and they looked at me like I was nuts. In Florida where we came from, every Tuesday was 10% military discount day. Not so in Houston. Apparently, it’s a regional thing and Houston Walgreens’ has chosen not to participate. They do ask you to buy candy to send to troops in Iraq and Afghanistan but why do they limit the candy choices? And why chocolate? It’s over 120 degrees over there during the summer. The chocolate turns to mush long before the troops get it. Walgreens’ claims to pack it in dry ice before they send it but I know troops over there(I’m retired Army) who have said it’s worthless by the time they receive it. They won’t take alternate more useful donations such as hand sanitizer, sunblock, etc. More than once they’ve questioned me when I walk in with my service dog. C’mon folks. I walk in there, time after time, same dog, and the same cashier questions me? Granted, she’s not a native American but you’d think she would remember me after going in there three of four times now. Ugh.
