Westlake RV Resort

We had a great experience at this lovely RV park. Don’t let the curbside appearance fool you. It it tucked behind a storage facility on Clay Road and once you enter through the electric gate (a nice feature) you find this very clean and well maintained park. It is back far enough from the road to preclude most traffic noise. There is a man-​made lake in the center which is stocked with fish for catch-​and-​release entertainment. The common areas are kept extremely clean, beautifully landscaped, and it has two nice common areas for grilling, picnicking, or just enjoying the lakeside views. Heated pool and hot tub set in an attractive setting with flowers and lush vegetation.
The sites are concrete, level and plenty wide with a strip of grass, picnic table and plenty of patio space. There is ample space between sites to allow for some privacy and ability to park your vehicle.
It is definitely priced higher than others in the Houston area but the security of the locked gate, the grounds maintenance, and convenience to I-​10 made it very worthwhile for us. We are glad to find a spot as nice as this in Houston and will be back.

There is good and bad here at this park.
For the good: it is very nice, with amenities that you normally do not see in other parks.
For the bad: super expensive, at 47 $ a night you are approaching hotel rates. They put you on the ban list if you are still around at 1pm.
My experience: I arrived late, which wasn’t an issue. Signed the standard waivers and disclaimers that you find at most parks. What I discovered is that they put you on the ban list if you are there at the checkout time that they did not make you aware of (but you signed acknowledging with their paperwork).
If the park was full, or if they mentioned that they really needed me out by 1 I would have been out by that time. I would also understand if I was there well past that time, but I wasn’t.
I didn’t use any of these but they had: a laundry room, pool, gym, lounge, an outdoor kitchen, and a small outdoor grill area. Park appeared to be clean and pretty well kept.

Staying for the month of April. Nice, safe, gated park. Pool table, shuffle board, ice machine in club house. Constructed pond in the middle with a cool fountain that almost makes you forget you’re living in the middle of a parking lot with a bunch of strangers.

Gated rv resort. Has heated pool, nice facilities. Paved road & pads. Catch & Release fishing only in the lake. Its so new that it feels more like a huge parking lot. When the trees and shrubs grow full the feel will be a bit more homey. The kids are having a blast riding their scooters and bikes around. No road or highway noise to tend with during the night. I would definitely recommend this place to my friends.
