Previous owners were magical, but now … not so much. I ask for simple things but I have to over-explain because they just don’t seem to understand basic alteration requests. NOT a language barrier, just either inexperience or not very intelligent. Either way, I’m looking for a new place.

Unfortunately, the ownership changed in May 2014. Where there used to be 3 very skilled and friendly Asian women, now there is only one not-as friendly woman owner. She is good enough, but the prices are higher, although still low compared to Galleria or inner loop alteration prices. Gosh, I would love to know where the previous 3 women are now working…

She does a great job and if priced very reasonable!!! I have dropped off many items she is always done when she says she will be done and is super easy to work with. I would highly recommend this place for any alterations you might need.

I brought in a dress to alter. At first, it bulged at the hip. Then, we she fixed it, it was still uneven and not wearable. Taking to someone else to fix!

Did a great job on last minute notice on a dress for out of town wedding. Even refined alterations after I came back. Friendly service.

Extremely rude service and yelling at customers. They made my dress worse than before. Ripped parts of it and told me it looked fine

I had a few items tailored at this store recently. I was impressed that the turn around was so quick and everyone is friendly that I’ve talked to, but the quality of the stitching was often too loose for my taste… On a side note, they don’t accept Amex.

When you’re 5’1, you’re use to getting pants /skirts /suits /etc tailored to get a good fit(yes, Stacy + Clinton of What Not To Wear fame would be proud!) I’ve brought a variety of clothings to Westside Alterations and they’ve always done a really great job. Most recently, I needed the leg and back elastics of my son’s cloth diapers(yes, we cloth diaper and modern cloth diapers rock!) replaced. MyHanh, one of the ladies at Westside Alterations, was more than happy to work with me on the exact measurements, etc. and they came out great. I know it wasn’t the hardest job to accomplish skill-wise, but they were so eager to get it done right. :)
