I’m here about 2 – 3 times a week; order online and pick up– so much easier than standing in line; there is a line for a reason, they make really good sandwiches! They know me by my name; some of them will smile, others are too busy to smile. * This Downtown location actually makes the BEST shakes!!!

This place doesn’t even really deserve a review, but I will warn you probably one of the worst sandwiches I’ve ever had right off the bat. First off a small sandwich(philly cheesesteak) was about $ 9 and was roughly the size of a six inch sandwich at Subway or Quiznos, so it was ridiculously expensive. But beyond just the price, the meat tasted like cardboard box shavings, was so thin and beyond chewy I would up spitting some of it out, what I did consume had no flavor at all and what little it did have had a distinct heir of freezer burn — not good. The cheese was melted to the wrapper of the sandwich so much so that 75% of my cheese was inedible and stuck to the paper wrapper, which I inadvertently wound up eating several times and spitting that out also(not pleasant). The onions and peppers weren’t bad, and the roll(Amoroso’s of Philadelphia) was pretty good, but the sandwich was dry as a bone, no condiments, seriously needs something in the way of sauce, mayonnaise, something or anything, literally had to choke it down with a soda as it was so dry. All for the low price of $ 9, and a can of coke was $ 1.50. Yeah I know you’re in the tunnel but geez. Seriously there are far better options downtown, this easily qualifies as one of the biggest wastes of $ 10 I’ve ever experienced. Do yourself a favor and skip which wich.

I had always wanted to try Which Wich, but never felt like walking there. 3 – 4 blocks isn’t that far, but I convinced myself that I had enough sandwich choices around my work block and instead would wind up at Subway or Corner Bakery or Zeros. I like all of these sandwich shops for different reasons. Subway doesn’t burn the pocket and fills me up. Corner Bakery has delicious combos. Way better quality, but more than double what I’d spend at Subway. Zeros is probably my favorite with it’s wonderful fresh bread and fair prices. But sometimes I’m looking for something different. My first Which Wich was pretty darn good and more than enough food at seven inches. I like the huge variety of toppings. You can have the same meat every day, but it would still be a different sandwich depending on whether you go for carmelized or red onions, balsamic vinaigrette or teriyaki sauce, or coleslaw or sauerkraut. A much loved bonus for me are the milkshakes. They’re just ok, but the convenience of being directly under my workplace is awesome. My only complaints so far are that there’s usually a longer than preferred wait and the restaurant’s pretty small with about 15 seated kind of comfortably. Which Wich falls somewhere around better than Subway and sometimes better than Potbelly, but not quite as perfect as Corner or Zeros. Apparently, you can’t have too many sandwich choices. Tip! Shave a few minutes of wait time by doing one of the following: –Send order online and pick up later. –Print the lunch bag blank(aside from meat) and fill in what you want with a red marker just before leaving the office.
