I came for a business lunch with my team and was surprised so many people were there. The atmosphere was very dark and with all the people talking it was hard to hear across the table. At one point our waiter abandoned us, but there was constantly guys going around with water pitchers so that never got less than half full. We ordered the fried stuffed jalapeños which were really good. I also ordered the trio seafood salad(I forgot the official name). Was very tasty! Overall, it’s expensive and a nice fancy-ish place. If we have another work lunch we’ll probably go back since it’s so close.

Came for happy hour the hostess was rude and the waiter had us waiting for 30 minutes for an order that he did not put in, but knew what the order was… The manager invited us back but ehh

With all steak and seafood places in Housron I’m quite sure the only reason still open because of the location. The steak was chewy & not vary flavorful. My 14 yr old son said he’s dad’s steaks were better. The gumbo was so salty it wasn’t enjoyable to eat. I won’t be going back. The second star was for location & service.

What can i say! Great food and service. Gustavo is the best waiter. Filet is always cooked to perfection, try the snapper, or the always tasty fried shrimp. Portions are big, food delicious, and you cant beat the service. A great tradition continues!

Great spot to come for Happy Hour to avoid afternoon traffic. G’s Sangria was quite nice. I had a wedge salad and shared fried zucchini and fried pickles with my team. Atmosphere: ambience was very relaxed and professional.

Willie G’s is a Landry restaurant, and as with other Landry restaurants, I’ve found their service to be very good, surrounds, ambiance to be good. The restaurant was pleasantly decorated, clean. Bathrooms were clean. There was abundant free private lot parking, but valet is, also, available. It’s in a great Galleria location, convenient to the West Loop, Westheimer, San Felipe. I had snapper, and it was well-grilled, tasty. I passed on the mashed potatoes. The cheesecake was very good. The bus boy did a great job on refills, responding to requests. All in all, good service, nice restaurant.

This place is the definition of a rip-off. Since it’s part of the Landry family of restaurants, I was expecting so much more. I went here for lunch with a colleague, and ordered the calamari to start, with the mixed grill as a main course. The calamari was ok, but once I tried the mixed grill it all went downhill. Scallops were rubbery and clearly not fresh. The steak was chewy and the shrimp bland. Dishes on the menu are pricey, $ 20 — $ 40 range, but don’t come close in quality. The atmosphere was pleasant, but I would not recommend anyone visit for the food.

I took my husband here for his birthday and we loved it. It’s a white table cloth venue with the prices to match but it was worth it. Complimentary valet out front. They advertised a pretty good Happy Hour menu which I’m itching to get back to try. The service was superb. I would definitely go back. Try the oyster Rockefeller!

I’ve been here twice now as of yesterday — I like this place a LOT! The atmosphere is wonderful, it’s got a true steakhouse feel with plenty of woodwork to make things dark and comfy. The complimentary valet is great and they have wonderful happy hour specials every day. My thing, though — is the filet. OMG — best cut of meat and they cook it perfectly every time… my job is close by and whenever a vendor visits and takes me to lunch but asks me to pick the place… THIS is on my ‘go to’ list!!! The prices are comparable to Pappasito’s or the like so it won’t completely break you, but don’t think it’s the Burger Shack either. And the staff is trained VERY well — they have been helpful and attentive both times I’ve visited. Really a top notch place in my book!

We had Trey as a waiter… and his recommendations were spot on! Bad points for suggesting lobster bisque with shrimp and crab extra and not telling me that was an up charge of $ 9.99 on top of a $ 7.99 cup of soup. Shame on Trey… even if it was yummy. We started with the enbrochette shrimp and oysters. Meh. I mean… they were good. But… OMG…the oysters Rockefeller were so yummy. I’ve never really delved into oysters that weren’t fried… so boyfriend was nice enough to cut the oyster so I wasn’t overwhelmed. I ate three different bites. I would’ve eaten more, but I’d waited too long to try them, so that’s when they were gone. He said the gumbo was just ok. He wouldn’t get that again. I had the crab and corn pasta. Very yummy. Ridiculous portion size. Could feed me for 3 or 4 days. He had the snapper Melissa… and raved over it. It came with green beans(why don’t they tell you that on the menu??) and he said those were good too. Trey recommended his version of a Long Island iced tea… made with pineapple juice. He said it would change my life… not quite… but it was tasty and worth taking him up on it

My coworker turned me on the the Oyster Bar Trash appetizer here, and I’ve been back a handful of times to get it. It’s so delicious. The mix of seasoning is perfection. The other foods are good too, don’t get me wrong. But the Oyster Bar Trash is divine. 5-stars for that alone. I typically sit on the bar side, which seems to be a bit more casual and I can watch sports so that works for me. The staff is always very friendly, attentive, and welcoming.

We started with the gumbo. not that it was bad, but it was more of a soup than a gumbo. Even after adding the rice and some crackers, it was mostly liquid. I counted two pieces of sausage in it and hardly any chicken… vegetables? None. Two of us had the fried trio. Shrimp and fries were good. Catfish smelled and tasted extremely fishy on both of our plates. Could not eat it, it was really disgusting. Stuffed crab varied. His plate it was good, mine was dried out and bland. We did not eat most of the food. On the plus side, the filet was good, though son ordered medium rare and it came out rare. Desserts nothing to write home about. Manager asked about our concerns. We told him, but we said it was OK. It was for HRW, so I did not want to impact the donations to the food bank. But will not be back.

Came here for Houston Restaurant Week with a friend of mine. I’ve never been here but from browsing the HRW menu I was excited for the dishes listed. I opted for a Caesar salad, fried seafood trio(fries, shrimp, fish, stuffed crab) and key lime pie. The fish was kind of flavorless but I added some hot sauce and that did it some justice. Yummy. Yummy! To drink I had the frozen margaritas with Chambord on top. That was good also! The customer service was A+ and the place has a very romantic feel. Not sure where«steak house» comes in to play because I dont get that vibe but its still a nice, high end restaurant. Parking was easy and they have valet also. Clean restrooms. I will definitely be back, esp. since the manager told us how good their gumbo is!

I had to plan an event for ~60 people so this is a review of the event managing/reception services. We worked with Laura(amazing woman!) to plan a menu that was within our budget. She always responded to emails in a timely manner and made sure to offer feedback/suggestions without being pushy. On the night of the event, the staff were incredibly helpful and kept the entire night stress-free! For food we served a beef/veggie skewer, shrimp skewer, risotto, and spanakopita, and for dessert we chose the key lime pie and pecan pie sweet minis. Everything was tasty so no complaints there. The Post Oak room was the perfect size for mingling/cocktails and then a seated dinner. With a dedicated bar, bathrooms, and private entrance, it didn’t even feel like there was an entire restaurant next to us! Truly a great venue if you want exemplary service, easy parking, and good food.

This is a nice upscale seafood restaurant that appears to have tacked on «steak house». It is clear from the menu that Seafood is their main gig, with a small selection of steaks tucked in the lower right hand corner of the one page menu. Having said that, the seafood did not disappoint. I had a blackened red snapper with shrimp and lump crab meat. The fish was perfectly prepared. The seasoning on the fish was very nice without being overwhelming. The shrimp was grilled very nicely and complemented the fish well. Their spinach side was a little disappointing, having been overly wilted and seasoned heavily with garlic. Not one of my favorites. Their wine list is solid, though a tad overpriced for their offerings. Our waiter was very attentive without being intrusive. Décor is nicely upscale with heavy white tablecloths and dark wood. The bar area is adjacent to the regular dining area but didn’t create noise for the restaurant tables. Definitely a good atmosphere for lively conversation. I felt it was a little on the pricey side for the quality of the food, but it seemed on-par for the level of décor. A bit more flash than culinary substance here.

I came here for a birthday and we had a set menu. I’m not sure if that was the reason for why the food did not taste good. The first course was Caesar Salads which tasted so plain… honestly, La Madeline taste way better. For the entrée, I think I got steak… it was dry and nothing special. Last but not least, I got the cheesecake for dessert and it tasted alright. Overall, I don’t think I will come be coming back.

Great selection of seafood, steak and apps. New York Sirloin steak salad with«cowboy» dressing was absolutely decadent! 6 oz of steak with nice balance of other toppings(i.e. fresh Fuji Apple).

A great place for a good old fashioned seafood meal, as long as you don’t want to have an intimate conversation or want to hear everyone at your table. Great food but this place is LOUD. We came in for a Wednesday night dinner and the place was busy. Once seated, we waited too long to be greeted, but the waiter who noticed that no one had greeted us yet, was so incredibly nice! He took care of us so well that it completed erased the delay in getting service at the beginning. We ordered the calamari appetizer. It came with a variety of items with the calamari and two dipping sauces. It was really good. My entrée of fried oysters and my sister’s entrée of fish were both delicious. As a treat, they sent out bread pudding for dessert to apologize for the delay. We hadn’t complained at all and were really pleasantly surprised with the gesture. The place is really loud and we never received bread like all the other tables, but the food was great and the complimentary dessert was delicious and thoughtful. I’ll definitely be back.
