Wings-N-Things

Man straight up I came in with low expectations to this place, but I walked in and that smell made my stomach growl. The young lady took my order and shortly I got my food, it was hot, fresh and very tasty. It’s hard for me to say this but it’s probably the best wing place I’ve ever been too and I’m a chicken man I love chicken. The service wasn’t the best but the food made up for it so it didn’t matter, I will for sure be back and w some friends so they can enjoy! Wings n things is very underrated salute for the good food!

As I stated before, Shelley just told me I have been coming here for 20 years so that says a lot! Great staff always fun coming here anyday!!! I LOVE THE WINGS!!!

Wings are flavored really good! Great thing is they aren’t dry and you can get them extra wet (saucy)!

I looked through the menu and decided to get the chicken strips/​wings combo. It comes with regular curly fries. While this place many not have as many flavors to choose from as other chicken wing places, I always tend to get parmesan and lemon pepper anyway. I love how you can have your strips plain or pick from any of the flavors they have. Wait staff service was very friendly and always checked in with me. I just wish they spread the parmesan more evenly through the chicken wings but that’s just a minor complaint.

This place is good, it’s close so that’s the best part. The wings aren’t as big and they don’t have as wide a flavor selection as Buffalo Wild Wings or Hurricane Grill & Wings but I’d put them above Brewingz or Wingstop.

I had a great meal from here earlier this evening and wanted to knock out the review while the memories were fresh.
To be upfront, I had take out from this place so I’m not rating the dining experience.
High Points
* Greeted quickly. Several employees greeted me in under 30 seconds.
* Helpful service. They were very helpful to a first timer
* FAST. I got my order in under five minutes. I was amazed.
* Great food. I had a wings and curly fries combo. The wings were good sized and crispy. The order of fries was gigantic. All of my food was still hot when I got home. They also are great with you getting multiple wing flavors in the same order.
* Great sauces. I enjoyed the wing sauces (Extra hot, garlic parm, and honey bbq). I also enjoyed the homemade blue cheese and ranch. Which are included with the combo at no charge.
Low Point
* Personally, I didn’t have any low points. However, I think I should mention the one potential issue I saw. My order of 16 wings with three flavors were all put in one box. I’m one of the least picky people you’ll meet and I didn’t care what so ever. However, I have some friends that are pickier than three years olds and would have a mental breakdown if the buffalo flavored wings touched the garlic parm wings, no joke.
Overall I highly recommend this place. I will be back soon and look forward to dining in at the restaurant.

This really is the best place for wings. It had been a long time since eating here and we were lulled into wing medicrity at Wingstop and Brewingz. But tonight we returned to the best extra hot with garlic, the best blue cheese, and the best curly fries. Thank you!

The food is not that tasty and they even charged me for ice tap water $.59. Not only that I had to wait 25 minutes for 6 wings, charged for tap water?! I’m never going back.

Ever since my favorite wing place changed management, I was in search of good wings in Houston. I kept seeing this place and decided to try it out. The wings are great! The extra hot sauce is, in my opinion, very delicious. I keep coming back though i don’t live close to here.

The wings are good, the fries not so much. However the service is arguably the best I have experienced in Houston, that includes everywhere i have eaten at.

The wing sauce is good!!! So the wings are worth checking out! Fries bla!!! They had no flavor. Also the potato nachos horrible! The cheese was watery and had no flavor either.

Very disappointed in Wings n Things. My husband and I like to call in our order and then drive by to pick up the food. The last two times, they screwed up our order because they either misheard or wrote it down wrong. The first time, they left out my fries. When I called them, the guy who answered argued with me that I never ordered any fries.
Last night, my husband placed an order for two orders of wings and my fries, at first they said it was a half-​order and when he said no, they changed it four orders of fries! When they fixed it, they still got the order wrong. Finally my husband left without getting any food since they couldn’t get it right. We ended up eating somewhere else.
They see to be very good at taking orders over the phone. I guess that guy is gone.
BTW we order for pickup because the inside is cheap, not nice.

I love this place, their wings are my favorite! The only real reason I am not giving this place five stars is the location. Though it is my favorite, it looks a bit dingy and could use renovations.
My family and I are always greeted by the same employees, and though we’ve come here for a long time, they are always welcoming and nice.
My favorites are the lemon pepper wings, I have yet to find another restaurant with LP wings as tasty/​zesty as these.
It’s a bit run down but the food makes up for it.

Favorite wing place. Wings are crispy be default. Extra hot are just right. Order Mario sauce on the side to kick it up as needed.
Monday special is 25 wings and a pitcher of beer for 27 dollars.

My go to place for wings! We always get the 25 pc wings with celery and blue cheese, chili cheese fries, and garlic bread with cheese. They let you mix and match your flavors, and the wings are always hot and fresh.
Service is always friendly and the food comes out quick.

Disappointed. I have had better. The seasoning was very sparingly used. The price was high for the serving size. Buffalo wings, wingstop amd hooters have better. But the service was good so I will give it two.

Wing’s were over cooked and not good the service was terrible! Never coming back to this place.

I was alerted on Monday that it was National Chicken Wing Day.
As if I’d needed an excuse.
Aside from Domino’s and frozen ‘Anytizers (just buy some now from the grocery store, and don’t ask any questions), I hadn’t had any buffalo wings since my move back to Houston. So to celebrate this IMPORTANT holiday, I got takeout from Wings N Things off of 290 and 34^th Street. I ordered a small army of buffalo wings in three different flavors — Original Spice Medium, Spicy BBQ, and Gold Fever with garlic spice. I also got French fries (duh), celery, and dressing.
After having creepily lurked around the restaurant, taking pictures, and scoping the place out, I was pretty stoked about my order. It was a little hole-​in-​the wall establishment, with lots of character, that seemed to hold the promise of a brighter tomorrow in the form of chicken wings and beer.
But to be perfectly honest, I wasn’t crazy about my first helping. The wings seemed dry, and the fries were soggy and plain.
My second helping was a different story. The wings I took were from the bottom of the pile this time, so they had lots of sauce on them, and they were very enjoyable. Overall, the Original Spice Medium and Gold Fever with garlic spice were good, but the Spicy BBQ were AWESOME. While having a sweet barbecue-​y taste, they also packed a nice punch. Simply delicious.
My third serving (if you can even call it that), consisted of me taking fries and using them to lap up the rest of the leftover buffalo sauce in the Styrofoam containers. And they were GOOD.
I clearly checked my pride at the door a long time ago.
Overall review of Wings N Things? Pretty good. Would I go back again? Yes, but I’d probably want to dine inside. I really dug the dive-​y atmosphere, and they have great dine-​in specials. But if ordering takeout again, would I rather just get Wing Stop? Guilty as charged. (I mean seriously, what DOES Wing Stop put on their fries!!! UGHSOGOOD).

Pretty good. I got the hot and spicy BBQ favors. Spicy BBQ was my favorite… should have tried a hotter sauce though.
