Natalie(the owner) and Kayla rock! I got the full treatment for my nails and feet and WOW! Kayla will get that dead skin off without hurting you and gives the best foot massage ever. MY feet looked so nice when she was through! Natalie did my nails, and they look perfect! She does a thorough job, doesn’t hurry just to get you out of there. Every customer is treated with dignity and respect and given the best service possible. Ann and Lauren are wonderful, too! I love you ladies! Nice cold water, cold soda, hot tea is an added plus to make you more relaxed! Everything is clean clean clean! These are very hard working ladies but they always have a smile on their face! You can feel their kindness permeating the salon…

I absolutely love this little nail shop! Everyone has always been so sweet, no matter if it’s busy or not. They always make time for you. The ladies are always so helpful when asking for their recommendation. I really enjoy coming in and just sitting back amd relaxing!

I live near here and have been going her for quite a while. This is a nice little place on Washington Ave. Their prices are not to high and they always do a good job.

I’m a fan, this place has became my new go to nail salon. Zen Cookie is located close to washington and i10, it’s convenient for those who live in the Heights area. The place isn’t anything fancy, but for the price and the quality of work, I definitely recommend it!

manicure was ok. better than be doing it but not the best I’ve had. The place was tidy for the most part but not high end, I’d give the environment a 2 star as well. Service 2 stars Quality 2.5 stars.

First time going and Kayla did a wonderful job. I got a refill with shellac and she even filed my previous length down and did a thorough, detailed job. I recommend coming here. **Update: 2 days later, noticed that on 4 of my nails the Shellac has already started peeling off.**

This place is a dump. I went into it with an open mind based on the good reviews, but came out very disappointed. First of all, this place is every bit as expensive as the nice nail salons and totally not worth it. I’m not a salon snob, but if it’s the same price at a ratty trailer as it is in an actual SPA environment, the choice is clear. The elderly woman who did my pedicure did a wonderful job. The middle aged woman who did my shellac manicure was rude, and was visibly aggravated that I took more than 30 seconds to choose my nail color. Then she did a crummy job– the color is splotchy and uneven, she got the shellac up on my cuticles(which makes the polish peel off way faster, so I already know my manicure won’t last long, and she filed my nails so unevenly that the tips look almost like she made them purposefully wavy. Awful. Awful awful awful. Save your money and go to a real salon

Decent prices and consistent service. It’s not super fancy, but that do offer water/cokes. They are always able to work you in and I’ve never had to wait for a chair. Natalie is the best for shellac!

I have only been here one time, but plan on making this my regular go to spot for a mani/pedi. I came here on a Saturday around 3pm and was immediately sat in a pedicure chair. Everyone was very friendly and I got a bottle of water. My toes and fingers turned out beautifully and I wasn’t hurried out once they finished. It was $ 40 for a mani/pedi.

The last time I came here, I got a mani pedi. The pedicure was just fine, but the guy made my nail polish bubble on every finger. It was disappointing cause he did a great job cleaning, trimming, and filing. The service was good, but it was too bad that I didn’t notice the bubbles until I got home. My sister comes here often since they do a good job, but I was very disappointed.

I’m glad I found this place near my home. Shellac mani and pedicure for $ 55. The salt scrub they did on my feet was amazing! My legs are super soft. They stay open past their listed hours so give them a call and they will prob take you in.

I am very particular about where I get my shellac… I usually only go to 2 places in Houston and go to a specific person. My roommate told me she went to Zen and really liked it and it’s down the street from us so I decided to give it a try. I requested Natalie and she really did a great job. Don’t expect s great atmosphere… but they do serve coke/wine/water which is unusual at cheaper salons. Shellac is $ 30 if they have to take off your previous shellac and $ 25 if you have bare nails. The salon is not by any means nice and they actually had the doors open to cool off the inside… but they do a good job and it’s reasonably priced. Ask for Natalie!

No thank you! I will be going back to get my money back today! I had to leave to get back to work so I was unable to make a big fuss. But I am angry. First off they switched girls on me. I understand appointments but if that is the case then do not start something you can not finish. Secondly, the older lady that finished my acrylic set did not do a very good job. I asked for almond and I got some almond some round ALLDIFFERENTLENGTHS! At the end there was a fiber in one of my nails in the color and she picked it out and instead of fixing the color she went back over it with top coat and now there is a huge spot where the is no color. I want a refund! I will go back as soon as I leave work and talk to the manager. They were very nice but I should have trusted my gut instinct when I had to show the lady a picture of almond rounded nails. I am extremely frustrated. JK nails may be expensive but I see now that it is worth it with less stress. I do not recommend this place.

I am so glad my fiancé and my mother in law found this place and decided to send me to get pampered. Omg! It’s a cute little place close from home and you feel welcome since you walk in. Natalie was the best hands down, she’s so sweet and friendly. My first time here and I’m definitely coming back. Try it out for yourselves yall :)!

I moved to rice military a few months ago and have been passing this little place on my way to and from work everyday — it stands out, being housed in a cute refurbished little bungalow. So from the start I was intrigued, as every other nail place in the area that I’ve visited is located in strip malls. So I finally made an appointment for a mani-pedi-eyebrow wax yesterday, and I couldn’t be happier with the service. Super friendly, welcoming, and competent staff. This is definitely my new go-to place for nails!

I can only review the waxing services. I came in today for a Brazilian wax, and was honestly horrified by my experience. Firstly, the lady put talcum powder on my groin area and rubbed it in WITHHERBAREHANDS. When I seemed astonished and asked her if she was going to use gloves, she seemed confused but went and got some(honestly, it’s as much for her protection as mine, and really gross she didn’t start out with gloves). Then I realized early on she was double and triple dipping the stick in the wax, contaminating the wax for others(and more than likely, I was using someone else’s wax). That’s when I asked to terminate the session early for only a bikini instead of full Brazilian wax. The waxing process itself was fine except no attention to detail was noted– the stray hairs the wax left stayed there– she made no attempt to tweeze them later which is pretty standard. Then she gave me a towel to clean up with which she took out of the room, however did not change the towel that my head and feet were laying on. Overall, I’m really grossed out by my experience here and will NEVER be coming back even though I live less than 2 min away. I would also strongly recommend anyone who cares about not contracting gross things stay away from their waxing parlor as well. If I get herpes now, I’m definitely gonna blame it on this.

This place is great! They are always nice and helpful. They are patient they have good quality of work. They also have a very large variety of colors :-) the massages are well done and not just a quick minute long — highly recommended

My first time here and I loved it. I will be coming back every time I need my nails done. The prices are very reasonable and the service was great. They were welcoming. Clean place too. I went early before the rush hour, so I don’t know how long of a wait it would be during rush hour. Shellac was $ 25 Regular pedicure was $ 20 And eye brow waxing was $ 5(if you get your nails done at the same time. not sure how much if you go there just to get waxed) It’s easy to miss, so be on the lookout.

I had my first manicure about ten years ago. This was my second. This was my first pedicure. Obviously I don’t have a ton to compare the experience to, but I will do my best. This place is located in a small, converted bungalow. I have driven past it a million times and have never noticed in before. Upon entering we were asked to sit in the waiting area for a few minutes. Soon thereafter we were seated in a side room. The chairs were huge! They looked like big leather thrones with an attached foot bath. I was handed a remote for the built in massager but I decided against this. I get my fill of chair massages when I visit Brookstone. The lady then came in and went to work on my feet. She soaked my feet, and then she trimmed the nails. After that it was more soaking and then a hot stone massage and a scrub on my legs. My feet are super ticklish and she only tickled them once. The whole thing felt amazing. I have been missing out on this whole pedicure thing. No wonder women keep this to themselves. It is way more than a little clip and a coat of paint. After that was the manicure, and since this was my second one ever I now have a sample size of two for my comparisons. The last time I had it done it hurt when they pushed down my cuticles. That was not the case this time as the lady was very gentle. The whole thing was around $ 35. It was $ 15 for the manicure and $ 20 for the pedicure. Considering I was being pampered for an hour and a half I would say it was totally worth money. I know I will be back.
