Howell, MI
Best ice in Livingston county and probably the best in Michigan. It has a great atmosphere for high school games and has a historic hockey rink smell (very homey).

Lake Orion, MI
Grand Oaks was ahead of the curve. It was the first place in Livingston County, I believe, with an indoor ice skating arena.
There is also a small pro shop where you can have your skates sharpened, changing rooms with lockers and a small concession area. I’ve usually been here for open skating events or lessons, but only a couple of hockey games. It’s not fancy, but it gets the job done.

this where i played hockey as a kid. the teams played in the Livingston county hockey league. the biggest draw every year is Brighton high vs Howell high school. in opened in 1992 and it is an indoor ice rink. until the ice house opened in Brighton it was Brighton home rink
