Howell Academy of Dance

My daughter is finishing up her first year at this dance school. The staff has been wonderful. The hours are perfect for a working parent to be involved. I am so excited for the recital!

My daughter has been a student here for the past 10 years. She started out in a combination class and since her very first class she has loved dancing. The teachers have been so very supportive and encouraging while maintaining a fun yet disciplined atmosphere in their classes. The recital shows they put on are simply amazing. Their shows are professional, not overly long in length and so much fun for the kids. I would recommend this studio to anyone looking for a great dance school in the area!

Howell Academy of Dance is a highly professional dance school. My daughter is on the Diamond Dancers competition team and she had her first competition this past weekend. I cannot express the amount of professionalism that is instilled in each of the dancers opposed to those from other studios. I noticed dancers from other studios running amuck with no supervision and had noticed petty competitive attitudes towards our dancers. I felt at ease knowing that my daughter and the rest of the team were under close supervision, and carried themselves as professional well behaved young ladies as they wished the other dance teams «good luck» before they went on stage and even complimented the other teams dance costumes. The bond between the dancers and the parents are like no other for as all of the mothers were helping each others children get ready for the stage as if they were their own. Unlike other studios whose dancers are like robots trained to win– the Diamond Dancers are taught to do their best, dance for the love of the art, and have fun… winning is the bonus.

At the suggestion of a friend, my 5 year old went to their Princess Dance Camp last summer. My very shy, quiet daughter had a BLAST! She spoke so highly of the crafts, other girls and teachers. She couldn’t wait to show me her dance moves when she got home. I would recommend this studio to anyone looking in the area. Their heart is in it for the right reasons.
