Visited The Record Store while visiting family in New Jersey. It is more of a comic book store with toys and figures but they did have quite a few records. I found some rare items that I’ve been searching for so that was cool. They do not offer any sort of discount or deal when buying a high priced item though.

This place has many comics. Has Statues that are over priced. Used to buy from here but no longer. The people that work here are very nasty. Especially the manager. They curse in front of customers and have inappropriate conversations in front of customers. I have a 10 year old son that doesn’t need to here about who the staff is sleeping with. My son asked the older man that works there. Think its the manager. And he first got nasty with my son than refused to help him. Avoid this place at all costs. There are other stores with better prices and more stuff. And with Definitely better customer service.

My all time favorite comic book store. This place has it all, comics, cds, toys, records, DVD… you could spend an hour just browsing around The comics selection is top notch, from current titles to back issues and Graphic Novels. The music is a little more limited, although great prices on used cds DVD selection is decent, with some really good prices on used. Toys tend to be on the expensive side, but if you are a collector you’ll love the selection.

This place is great! I collect comics and they have one of the best comic inventories I’ve seen. Also, cds, vinyls, many figures and vintage toys. Prices are mostly fair, although I’ve seen some of the variants marked up higher than they’re worth. All and all, one of the best shops around and worth a visit.

I love this place. We used to go in high school, for the extensive used CD collection, and now I go, my boyfriend goes, and I even bring my nephew(5) to get comics. They always seem to have enough of each issue(and several different covers, if possible), and will order you any missing back issues. I really like that they have a kids section, because my nephew is 5, and he gets his favorite characters without me having to worry about too much sex or violence. All the employees are super nice also, and very knowledgable about what they sell.

As a long time DJ, digger and collector I first started visiting the Howell Record Store in the late 80s’ when they were still located on the South bound side of RT9 in Howell. In those days they were a record shop with 15 — 20 rows of records and cassettes stacked from the floor to the ceiling. Every now and then when I am in the area, I’ll stop in for a visit. It’s nice to see the owner and a couple of original employees. Throughout the years they’ve gone from being a record shop with a few comic books to a comic book shop with a few records. If you’re looking for a classic, record store feel with decent pricing set a aside a few hours for browsing.

WOW! what a surprise! Drove past this place for years and from Rt9, it looks like an abandoned building. My neighbor who is a collectibles dealer and also likes the same music as myself, told me you have to go there! They have everything. Ok, so fast forward a while and my son wants to pick up some cd’s. The local Best Buy has a shit selection much like the rest of the area. I remember this place and figure what the hell. I’ll take a ride. We walk in, and my sons face lights up! Cd’s, comics, posters, toys, everything a 16 year old and a 40 year old kid would love! LOL This place is a throwback to the days of record stores. By the way, they also have vinyl! It may not have as much as some stores did back in the day, but for this time frame, it is probably as good as you can do! Cd’s are getting harder and harder to find as more and more stores are dropping their inventory. Me, I always preferred to have the physical item in my hand. I remember the excitement of playing a new album while reading the insert start to finish! There was nothing like it! This place allows you to still do that!

The store sells comics, new and used movies and albums, and more memorabilia than one can take in during a single visit. There is a mammoth back catalog of comics to select from and the store offers a free service to pull the comics that you want each week and keep them to the side for you.

Awesome store jam packed with back issues. Staff is super friendly, but their taste in music often makes my ears bleed. Prices are very good. Nice to see comics that come with a bag from the get go. Not bad prices on older toys either, but the new toy prices are scalperish. A new set of Blackest Night figures had each figure with a different price ranging from 16 to 25 dollars. Not cool.

Great people. Been shopping there since I was in grade school when they were in their original location. The always take care of me. Don’t get there as often anymore now that I don’t live in Howell, but I will always try to give my business to them whenever I can. Comics check, used vinyl check, toys check. May that giant cassette tape be there forever.
