Sparkletts has dismal customer service! We went a week without water because they didn’t come. They showed up a week and ten minutes late. We only received our water because a few of us stayed late and were here when the truck showed up at 5:10PM. The deliveryman didn’t care to take the sixth empty bottle atop the cooler so we only received 5 of the six bottles we’re due. If you like drinking gut churning tap water, Tucson water is bad and the water in our office park is dreadful, contract Sparkletts to deliver.

Sparkletts is an awful company. Awful, but brilliant as well. Sparkletts goes to all the student dorms and offers students an easy, convenient way to get their water. In theory it’s a fantastic service for college students. Some college students(in the dorms especially) do not have cars which makes it especially difficult to schlep gallons or bottles of water from the store to their dorm rooms. So that’s the brilliant part, now I’ll explain where the awful comes to play – their service. I was once a freshman in the dorms at the University of Arizona and I saw the value of having the water delivered to my room, especially because I didn’t have a car my first year. I signed a contract with Sparkletts and that very day is when the trouble started. I had a contract that specified 2 cases of bottled water would be delivered every month. Every month somehow translated into every 2 weeks and then somehow became every single week!!! I was stacking cases up in a corner of my tiny dorm room and praying that they wouldn’t all fall down on top of me.(question: if you’re killed by being covered in water bottles, is it considered drowning?) We got the water delivery under control, but they refused to pick up the extra cases, so we just arranged to stop deliveries for 3 months. Unfortunately, we were charged as though we were still getting deliveries. We then contacted Sparkletts and managed to get the charges dropped. Eventually we just decided to stop the service all together. What was supposed to be a convenience turned out to be a bigger pain than schlepping the bottles back from the store. It’s a bummer too, because I really do like their water… oh well
