Benson’s Bakery & Café

We ordered a holiday cheesecake awhile back and it was so delightful. The staff was super easy to work with even responding to my email questions. It was so easy to place my order and they had it ready when I needed it.
Not to mention everyone at our holiday party loved it! It was a huge hit. I’m so glad we took a chance and purchased from them.
We’ve since walked in and got those little cup cheesecakes to go and brought those to a dinner party (I don’t mean to sound fancy, we’re anything but…) and they were also a huge hit! We also got the brownie with peanut butter and that was enjoyed as well.
My husband had purchased a slice of the chocolate cake and even though we left it in the refrigerator overnight it was still good. The edges were a little hard but the icing and cake were delicious.

My favorite little place to go around here. Their crepes are amazing. The food is always consistent and the atmosphere is so quaint and cozy. Also, they recently remodeled a bit so bonus reason to go check them out!

I haven’t received my cake yet so this review is based on customer service/​meeting needs– I couldn’t be happier. I am planning a very special surprise birthday party that I need a specific cake for– I had called a different bakery that had told me they were able to make this cake then waited until the last moment to tell me they weren’t able to! I was honestly running out of hope that no bakery was able to make my cake & that I wouldn’t get it in time, until I called Benson’s. I was greeted by the friendliest, sweetest voice that told me «we can definitely make that cake for you». She went over every little detail I wanted for the cake and made me so excited about what the turnout will look like! I also needed this cake in only 2 days time and she said they were able to do that for me. I am so pleased and grateful for this bakery!

VERY dissapointed in this place!!! I referred the place to my sister and when they got the cake it wasn’t decorated as it was suppose to be. It also had a sponge cake like consistancy and it was stale the next day. My sister contacted her and I did too and she never refunded my sister for the cake! I was so embarassed as I had referred them to her! I tried to contact the lady on f/​b after I found out that she was not getting a refund and the lady blocked me! Very unprofessional. Terrible cusomer service!!! BEWARE!!!

Worst birthday cake ever!
I ordered a birthday cake for my son. I was quoted a price of $ 35.00 for a 8 inch cake. It was supposed to be decorated like a photo I emailed to her with fondant silhouettes around the sides. The actual cake had edible images around the sides!
The cake had a doughy bread like consistancy and was already stale by the next day!
So not worth the $ 35.00 I paid!
I also purchased items for the case during the summer such as whoppie pies and cupcakes and those were expensive and stale as well!

Delicious! Sandwiches come with a side, cookie and pickle in a little box! Coffee was very good. Also had a perfect cupcake!

If you are looking for a kids cake, or something easy that they can do. But for them to follow directions and do things correctly on something a little more complicated, not so much.
We ordered a cake with specific instructions for a 16^th birthday for someone in the firefighter field. We picked up the cake a couple hours before the party and it looked like it was for a 5 year old. And the firefighter badge was YELLOW!!! They are almost all red — except Hudson which is green. But not yellow. We even offered color pics and were told, nope we can do it. We asked for an item to look like it was actually on fire — we got the item placed on what was supposed to be fire. The fire truck looked like a tonka truck. And then when we cut it, the thing crumbled apart. And when we picked it up, we were charged more than quoted.
I called to complain and was told the owner would call on a Tuesday as she was off. I never heard back, and had to call again on Friday. The response I got was we followed the directions and did our best. When infact they didn’t follow the directions. They probably did their best, but that wasn’t very good.
We were offored a $ 25 credit, so that is good I guess. But that means we have to go back.

This place totally deserves 5 starts. Great atmosphere with friendly, accommodating staff. I got the veggie wrap with chips and a pickle and it was excellent with the perfect amount of food. For desert I got the best raspberry cheesecake pastry ever.
I can’t wait to come back here to try something else.

My husband and I came for breakfast on an early Sunday morning. I ordered a iced vanilla latte and it was perfect! We both had a breakfast item off the menu. I had the salmon crepes which I enjoyed and was very different from anything I had seen on other menus. The crème cheese and capers were wonderfully balanced. My husband ordered a burrito and he enjoyed it but said it lacked some pizazz. I did buy two s’more cookies and they were too sweet for me. A few weeks prior to our visit I had a slice of cake at a party from one of Benson’s cakes. The cake was beautifully decorated and the chocolate flavor was heaven. I am very pleased with this place and will be back. The owners are doing a great job but the food service is a slight wait. It’s a home town business so be patient. Quality is better than quantity.

Excellent espresso beverages, loose teas and baked goods. I especially love their cake pops, muffins and scones… they always have fun seasonal flavors and use local ingredients when they’re available. Friendly staff, great atmosphere. I love this place!

Meatlovers breakfast burrito is so good I had to go back for more. Fresh homemade donuts are so perfect

This is a perfect little coffee shop with a great looking assortment of baked treats. The organic coffee is fresh and flavorful, made to order. I’m so glad we found this little gem. There’s a private off street parking lot and all major credit cards are accepted. Service is fast and friendly. The music is good, the restrooms are clean and there’s generous seating to enjoy your coffee and treats. Of course free wifi is available. This will be a regular stop the next time I’m in the area. Highly recommend! Enjoy.

We ordered a full sheet cake for a 70^th Birthday party and boy was it worth the extra money! We could have done a Costco cake for half the price but this cake was outstanding! She has many flavored to choose from and several different filling choices as well. We chose half lemon half chocolate cake with raspberry filling and a buttercream frosting. Delicious!!! They have several pastry offerings as well as sandwiches and coffees. Minus one star because they don’t have breads. Lol.

I rarely do reviews but I just had to for this place! We have ordered cakes from here twice now and both have been outrageously delicious and beautifully decorated. Just last week I ordered a last minute cake for my 2-​year old daughter’s first ballet recital. I wasn’t expecting much in terms of decoration, especially because I ordered the cake late on a Thursday for Saturday morning pickup. I was floored when my husband came home with the cake — it was so gorgeous! Beautifully decorated with pink ribbons, and a ballerina. My daughter was so delighted!
The best part, of course, was the cake itself — perfectly sweet vanilla cake and vanilla buttercream. I am also 28 weeks pregnant and I literally cannot stop daydreaming about their vanilla buttercream. It’s not too super-​sweet, just creamy and delicious. We received numerous compliments from our guests on both cakes we’ve ordered. I’m so glad we found a local bakery we love for special occasion cakes and treats!

Benson’s is the best bakery and café around! Personalized service, made to order breakfast and lunch! Coffee is great and prices are reasonable. Everyone is always smiling there! The cakes are delicious and more than reasonably priced! Baked goods are amazing. We are there all the time!

Holy yumminess! So many choices from lunch to breakfast not to mention all the treats!!! Everything here so far has been delicious! Just had an éclair and it melted in my mouth!

Everything here is amazing! I love the tuna melt, the hazelnut hot chocolate, and pretty much anything at the bakery!
Try the maple bacon cupcakes ;)

I can’t get enough of this place! I go at least once a week, and although I tend to get the same sweets, there’s always something delicious looking tempting me from cupcakes, to brownies, cookies, cannoli, and more. Highly recommend.

I saw this place on the way to work, so i decided to give it a try. Since then i havent stopped going. Friendly staff, great Coffee, donuts and cakes. Not a place to go if your on a diet… well maybe lol.

I needed to get a 50^th birthday cake made and decided to try Bensons Bakery. I made a great choice. Emily did an awesome job for a very reasonable price. I would definitely use them again
